95 points James Suckling: "Bright and intense with blackberry, blueberry, and lemon rind. Full-bodied, yet tight with tannin tension and form. Mineral and Asian mushroom too, plus a bright finish. Just about ready. Love tasting this. " (06/2015)

2010 Domaine Henri Gouges Nuits-St-Georges 1er Cru "Clos des Porrets"
Back In Stock!
93 points John Gilman: "The 2010 Clos des Porrets is a stunning wine in the making, soaring from the glass in a complex and sappy blend of red and black cherries, stony minerality, espresso, gamebirds, woodsmoke and a lovely topnote of violets. On the palate the wine is deep, full-bodied and sappy at the core, with brilliant soil inflection, firm, well-integrated tannins, excellent focus and balance and tangy acids perking up the very long, pure and properly reserved finish. A great vintage of Clos des Porrets. 93+" (12/2011) 91-93 points Robert Parker...

91-93 points Vinous: "The 2010 Morey-Saint-Denis Clos des Ormes is wonderfully perfumed and delicate. Floral notes meld into an expressive core of red fruit in this gracious, delicate Burgundy. This is an especially elegant style of Morey. There is more than enough freshness in the glass to make me think the 2010 will drink well for a number of years. (AG)" (02/2012) 90-92 points Allen Meadows - Burghound: "Mild toast influence does not unduly detract from the otherwise highly perfumed red and black pinot fruit aromas that are trimmed in subtle earth n...

93-95 points Robert Parker's Wine Advocate: "The Vosne Suchots has a pixelated bouquet with great precision and sense of mineralite. It is perhaps, less ebullient that one usually finds this climat. The palate is very well balanced with firm, grippy tannins and real tannic backbone. It is a quintessential 2010 with a structured, very precise finish informed by Morello cherry and cassis. Excellent. (NM)" (01/2012) 93 points Allen Meadows - Burghound: "(tasted in mangum) An ultra-elegant nose displays admirably pure red berry fruit, floral and spice note...

94 points Allen Meadows - Burghound: "A restrained, indeed almost mute nose reluctantly gives up aromas of acacia, citrus peel, wet stone and white peach. The supple and ultra-refined flavors possess a beguiling purity along with as much mineral character as the Perrières, before culminating in a balanced and harmonious finish. This is a very, very understated effort and it's going to require the better part of a decade before it unwinds to reveal its full potential." (01/2012) 94 points Vinous: "Very pure aromas of lemon peel, flowers and nutty, vanil...

93-95 points Allen Meadows - Burghound: "A fresh but quite restrained and noticeably cool nose of herb and stone-infused wild red berry fruit aromas precedes impressively intense, powerful and agreeably rich medium-bodied flavors that ooze a fine minerality on the wonderfully detailed flavors that explode on the mouth coating and overtly stony finish. Like the Suchots, this is one impressive effort with outstanding upside potential though note that at least 15 years of cellar time will be required. *Don't Miss!* Drink: 2025+" (01/2012) Jancis Robinson:...

Bid on this 4-bottle lot of 2010 Pierre-Yves Colin-Morey Meursault 1er Cru "Charmes" (94VN). Vinous: "The 2010 Meursault Charmes is super-impressive. It boasts tons of richness and power, yet all of those elements are buffered by the wine's structure and acidity. Simply put, everything is in the right place. There is an element of pure unbridled energy and sheer tension that gives the Charmes its explosiveness and compelling personality. This is a great showing. I can't wait to taste the Charmes in another year or two. (AG)" (08/2012)
Starting Bid: $680.00

Bid on this bottle of 2010 Domaine Ghislaine Barthod Chambolle-Musigny 1er Cru "Fuées" (95JR, (92-94BH)). Jancis Robinson: "The 2010 les Fuées is simply one of the greatest wines that Ghislaine Barthod has ever crafted in her fine, fine career. The stunningly complex and pure nose delivers a blend of red and black cherries, blood orange, kaleidoscopic minerality, a touch of currant leaf, vanillin oak, violets and a gentle topnote of woodsmoke. On the palate the wine is deep, full-bodied, pure and primary, with outstanding mid-palate depth, laser-like focus, great transparency and a very long, very tangy and magical finish. Gorgeous juice. Drink between 2024-2075. 95+" (06/2012)

Bid on this bottle of 2010 Domaine Georges Roumier Chambolle-Musigny 1er Cru "Les Amoureuses" (96JG, (94-96RP), 96ST, 96WS, 95BH). Robert Parker's Wine Advocate: "The 2010 Chambolle-Musigny Les Amoureuses was racked just one week prior to my visit and therefore was not showing the full breadth of its personality. Sweet, intensely perfumed notes waft gradually from the glass, but today I can’t say my impression is fully formed. Anticipated maturity: 2020-2035. (AG)" (12/2011)

Bid on this bottle of 2010 Domaine Georges Roumier Chambolle-Musigny (90BH, 90JG, (88-90RP), 90ST, 90WS). Robert Parker's Wine Advocate: "The 2010 Chambolle-Musigny shows terrific energy and class. There is lovely freshness and vibrancy in the aromas and flavors, with an underpinning of minerality that gives the wine its focus and sense of direction. Bright floral notes add lift on the finish. Anticipated maturity: 2014-2022. (AG)" (02/2012)
