92-94 points Allen Meadows - Burghound: "A trace of new wood sets off very fresh and elegant red berry fruit aromas cut with a distinct stoniness that give way to rich, refined and beautifully detailed medium weight flavors that possess fine mid-palate concentration and impeccable balance. A classic Latricières that displays just a touch of finishing austerity as well as the definite sense of underlying reserve. A great first vintage." (01/2010) 90-92 points Stephen Tanzer's International Wine Cellar: "Good medium red. Nose offers dark cherry, smoky oa...

88-90 points Allen Meadows - Burghound: "An ultra fresh and very pinot nose is nuanced by hints of Gevrey-style earth and a hint of forest floor that also is reflected by the cool, detailed and pliant middle weight flavors that possess good depth but also a mildly edgy finish where it's not entirely clear that it will round out." (01/2010) 87-90 points Stephen Tanzer's International Wine Cellar: "Palish bright red. Candied cherry and raspberry lifted by minerals on the nose. Silky and perfumed, with lovely cut to the flavors of raspberry, flowers and m...

Bid on this bottle of 2008 Domaine Sylvain Cathiard Vosne-Romanée 1er Cru "Aux Malconsorts" Burgundy France (94RP, 94ST, 93BH). Robert Parker's Wine Advocate: "Tasted at Flint Wine’s 2008 horizontal in London. The nose seems to have closed down from last year with aromas of damp undergrowth, raspberry leaf, red cherries, crushed stone. The palate is well balanced with very fine tannins, elegant and refined, sensual pure red fruits on the elegant finish. Beautiful. (NM)" (05/2011)
Starting Bid: $490.00

Bid on this bottle of 2008 Domaine Bouchard Père et Fils Chambertin-Clos de Bèze Grand Cru (95BH, 94ST, 93RP). Allen Meadows - Burghound: "A wonderfully, even exuberantly spicy and layered nose speaks of earth, underbrush and a certain animale character on the primarily red berry fruit that moves seamlessly into cool and intensely mineral broad-scaled flavors that are powerful, vibrant and display a saline element on the stylish and classy finish that is presently quite linear and will require plenty of time to flesh out because the suggested initial drinking window is not a typo. Drink 2033+. *Don't Miss!* " (04/2010)
Starting Bid: $170.00

Bid on this 2-bottle lot of 2008 Joseph Drouhin Beaune 1er Cru "Clos des Mouches" Rouge (94WE, 93W&S, 90BH, 90RP, 90WS). Wine Enthusiast: "The aromas of smoky new wood follow through to the wood flavors on the palate. However, it's the powerful sweet black cherry and red berry fruit flavors, layered with fruit tannins and acidity, that are driving this impressive wine. For aging at least six years. Bid on this 2-bottle lot of 2008 Domaine Ponsot Clos de la Roche Grand Cru Vieilles Vignes ((94-96BH), 96JG, 96RP). Robert Parker's Wine Advocate: "The 2008 Clos de la Roche Cuvee Vieilles Vignes is a silky, elegant wine. Freshly cut roses, dark red fruit and minerals sit on a core of utterly refined tannins. This shows stunning balance in a weightless style that gains energy on the clean, focused finish. This is a fabulous effort from Ponsot. Anticipated maturity: 2018-2033. (AG)" (05/2011)
Starting Bid: $535.00

Bid on this bottle of 2008 Domaine Armand Rousseau Gevrey-Chambertin 1er Cru "Clos St. Jacques" (95VN, 93BH, 93JG, 92RP, 92ST). Vinous: "The 2008 Gevrey-Chambertin Clos St.-Jacques 1er Cru is an absolute joy to behold and in terms of drinking now a sheer pleasure, surpasses both the 1996 and 2005 tasted the previous day. It bursts with pixelated red cherry and strawberry fruit on the nose, laced with minerals and light citrus scents. The palate is powerful and certainly not dense. Yet it possesses disarming transparency and fabulous precision, weightless yet paradoxically intense with a long tail on the finish. It is more a Clos Saint-Jacques of texture and feeling than obvious fruit descriptors. Wonderful. Drink through 2038. (NM)" (05/2019)
Starting Bid: $615.00

Bid on this 4-bottle lot of 2008 Domaine Ghislaine Barthod Chambolle-Musigny. Robert Parker's Wine Advocate: "Smoky black tea, pungent brown spices, and tart cherry inform a Barthod 2008 Chambolle-Musigny of enervating brightness yet incipient textural richness. Tart and pungent in its lasting finish, this will no doubt strike some tasters as leaning toward austerity, but I anticipate an exuberant, highly versatile and stimulating performer at table over the next half dozen years if not longer. “Especially in a challenging vintage,” notes Barthod, “my village Chambolle benefits from originating in so many and such diverse locations.” " (06/2010)
