93 points Wine Spectator: "Sensational. Because of its dark color. Because of its seductive rose petal, violet, plummy aromas. Because of its nod to the earth, the soil, the mineral. Because, because, because ... . Who will not love to drink this full-bodied red Burgundy? Well-made in a modern style, but not overly oaked. Very classy." (08/1998) 91 points Robert Parker's Wine Advocate: "Medium-to-dark ruby-colored, the Echezeaux's aromatics define the word finesse: violets, roses and small berries. This unfiltered and unfined wine displays powerful and...

93 points Robert Parker's Wine Advocate: "The only white 1995 I tasted, the Corton Charlemagne, is atypically delicious now yet can be held for a dozen years: Slightly gold colored and exhibiting aromas of super-ripe, toasty and spicy fruit, this fat, thick-textured and structured wine possesses buttery, tropical fruit flavors. (PR)" (06/1997) 91 points Allen Meadows - Burghound: "Pungent lemon and soft oatmeal aromas blend into detailed, intense and very pure flavors cut with an intense limestone character and superb length. This is quite understated ...

Bid on this bottle of 1995 Domaine Comte de Vogüé Musigny Grand Cru Vieilles Vignes ((93-96RP), 96ST, 92BH). Robert Parker's Wine Advocate: "One of the greatest wines of the vintage, Vogue's Musigny Vieilles Vignes, reminded me of Chateau Margaux at its best: an iron fist in a velvet glove. How anything can be this massive, powerful, and robust and yet be strikingly elegant and refined. Possessing a dark ruby color and an amazingly spicy, floral (roses) and black fruit-filled nose, this stupendous Burgundy has a thick, almost viscous, velvety texture, with copious quantities of fat, chewy, red berries. Surprisingly, the fruit almost tastes stewed yet is perfectly and clearly delineated. Complex, intensely deep and buttressed with huge but ripe tannins, this wine should be at its plateau of maturity between 2006 and 2016. Bravo! (PR)" (06/1997)

Bid on this bottle of 1995 Domaine des Tilleuls (Philippe Livera) Chapelle-Chambertin Grand Cru . This family-run estate was founded in 1920 by the Livera family, originally from Italy. For the 1996 vintage, Philippe Livera was still at the helm (it's been his son, Damien, since 2007). Bottlings from this era are rare, as, at that time, they sold most of their fruit to negociants. According to the importer, "What sets the Liveras apart is their attention to Gevrey’s collection of unique terroirs. To a one, the family’s villages-level vineyards are natural extensions of premier cru plots; and as such these wines overachieve every vintage, with fine tannins and rich textures, not to mention an uncanny ability to age far above their station."
