James Suckling: "Tough and tannic, with more earthy, stemmy flavors than fruit, although hints of nice strawberry and spice come through on the finish." (06/1993)
Price: $229.99
Bid on this bottle of 1990 Domaine & Selection Volnay 1er Cru "Les Taillepieds".
Starting Bid: $100.00
Bid on this bottle of 1990 Domaine Comte de Vogüé Musigny Grand Cru Vieilles Vignes (100WS, 96RP). Wine Spectator: "A benchmark wine for Burgundy. Defines harmony and class, with layer upon layer of ripe earth and raspberry flavors and a great deal of refined new oak. Has a deep, complex, velvety finish. (PM)" (12/1992)
Bid on this bottle of 1990 Domaine Leroy Vosne-Romanée 1er Cru "Les Beaux Monts" (94BH, 93RP). Allen Meadows - Burghound: "This remains quite darkly colored with obviously ripe, borderline aromas that are clearly Vosne in origin with loads of spice and secondary nuances to the black fruit and earth aromas that are followed by sexy, sappy and intense middle weight flavors that culminate in a mineral-infused, sweet and energetic finish that delivers outstanding length. This is sufficiently ripe that it is perhaps not a beacon of terroir but it remains unmistakably Vosne in basic character. This is really quite impressive and to my taste, it has arrived at its peak though one that should hold for a number of years to come. " (05/2014)
Bid on this bottle of 1990 Domaine Leroy Nuits-St.-Georges "Allots" (95WS, 92RP). Wine Spectator: "Spectacular, with amazing concentration of fruit and tannins. A smoky, toasty violet and spice component surfaces from the glass, and it shows wonderful harmony." (12/1992)
Bid on this bottle of 1990 Domaine Leroy Richebourg Grand Cru (98DC, 96RP, 96WS, 94BH, 92VN). Decanter: "Full, vigorous colour. Very lovely concentrated fruit. Cool and balanced. Lots of finesse. Fullish body, excellent grip, lovely fruit. A profound, classy wine, but more Leroy than Richebourg. What it lacks is real originality." (10/2015)
