91-93 points Allen Meadows - Burghound: "*Outstanding* A fresh, cool and restrained nose of surpassing elegance displays airy red berry fruit, in particular raspberry and currant. Interestingly for a Rugiens, this is almost delicate on the mid-palate but there is excellent power and plenty of underlying tension to the very firmly structured, linear and somewhat strict if wonderfully persistent and impeccably well-balanced finish. I wouldn't buy this unless you expressly intend to cellar it for at least a decade." (01/2012) 93 points Stephen Tanzer's In...

Stephen Tanzer writes: "According to Frederic Drouhin, vintage 2010 brought balance and purity across the greater Burgundy region. The 2009s, he noted, " are ripe, sweet and seductive, but terroir differences were erased by the warm weather. The 2010s have less alcohol but more acidity, and superb balance. They will age gracefully." The 2010 harvest took place between September 21 and 29. Although the fruit was lower in sugar than that of 2009, many cuvees were not chaptalized. Due in part to the late malos, the Drouhin 2010s will be bottled later than u...

93-96 points Allen Meadows - Burghound: "*Don't Miss!* A deft touch of wood sets off the ripe, dense and quite elegant black cherry aromas that are layered with notes of earth and floral nuances. This is also impressively complex with wonderfully rich, intense and well-structured big-bodied flavors that brim with an abundance of dry extract on the mouth coating, balanced, long and extremely serious finish. One difference between this and many youthful examples of the appellation is that there is almost no austerity present on the vibrant backend. This to...

91-94 points Allen Meadows - Burghound: "A wonderfully broad nose offers up a beautiful array of spice, earth, menthol, toast and stone influences to the ripe yet cool aromas of red and dark berries. There is a distinct sauvage note to the rich, powerful and sleekly muscular middle weight plus flavors that ooze a very fine minerality as well as genuinely excellent complexity, all wrapped in a focused, intense and austere finish. In a word, terrific. *Sweet Spot, Outstanding* " (04/2012) 92-94 points Robert Parker's Wine Advocate: "The 2010 Gevrey-Chamb...

Bid on this bottle of 2010 Domaine Louis Jadot Latricières-Chambertin Grand Cru ((93-95BH), (93-95ST), (92-94RP)). Allen Meadows - Burghound: "An elegant and distinctly cool and restrained nose features a pretty array of floral and stone notes on the wonderfully complex and layered red berry fruit and plum aromas. The same sense of refinement inculcates the intense and highly energetic medium-bodied flavors that culminate in a penetratingly mineral-driven and explosively long finish. The hallmark youthful austerity is present in spades and this enjoys one of the longest finishes of the entire range. In sum, this is most impressive in a decidedly understated fashion." (04/2012)
Starting Bid: $120.00

Bid on this bottle of 2010 Domaine Emmanuel Rouget Vosne-Romanée (90WS). Wine Spectator: "A spare, elegant style, boasting sandalwood, licorice, cherry and raspberry notes. Shows a sweetness to the fruit midpalate and a mouthwatering finish. (BS, Web-2014)"
Starting Bid: $225.00

Bid on this 2-bottle lot of 2010 Domaine Dujac Charmes-Chambertin Grand Cru ((93-95RP), 94JG, 93BH, 93VN). Robert Parker's Wine Advocate: "The 2010 Charmes-Chambertin comes across as big and powerful. Presently the Charmes is mostly about structure and intense minerality, both of which bode well for the future. Cassis, blackberries, spices and slate are woven together on the cool, piercing finish. This is a wine for the darkest part of the cellar. (AG)" (02/2012)
Starting Bid: $680.00

Allen Meadows - Burghound: "Moderate wood influence frames a ripe and densely fruited nose where the earth component takes center stage and continues onto the palate as a significant component of the concentrated and ultra-serious, even strict flavors that possess very ripe and prominent tannins. This is borderline chewy but the balance is excellent as is the length. A robust and rustic villages that will require 7 to 10 years of cellar time to shed its considerable structure." (01/2013) Robert Parker's Wine Advocate: "The 2010 Gevrey-Chambertin Clos T...

Bid on this 2-bottle lot of 2010 Domaine Dujac Morey-St-Denis 1er Cru ((90-92BH), 92JG, (89-91ST)). Allen Meadows - Burghound: "Cassis flowers and black raspberry liqueur aromas give way to bigger, richer and more concentrated flavors that possess excellent volume as well as noticeable minerality that adds lift to the attractively textured, persistent and harmonious finish." (01/2012)
Starting Bid: $260.00

Bid on this 3-bottle lot of 2010 Domaine Henri Boillot Chambertin-Clos de Bèze Grand Cru ((94-96VN), (93-95ST)). Vinous: "The 2010 Chambertin Clos–de-Bèze is a bit more vibrant and detailed than the Chambertin. Silky tannins convey an impression of energy and refinement. Texturally, the Bèze comes across as weightless, pure and totally elegant with no shortage of energy, but perhaps just a little less density than is characteristic. Clean saline notes resonate on the finish. (AG)" (02/2012)
Starting Bid: $525.00

Bid on this 3-bottle lot of 2010 Domaine Faiveley Chambertin Clos de Beze Grand Cru ((94-97BH), 96ST, 95WE, 95WS). Allen Meadows - Burghound: "A highly spiced nose features notes of cool red currant, plum, violets and wet stone along with ample amounts of pungent Gevrey style earth. There is impressive richness and size to the powerful and well-concentrated large-scaled flavors that are underpinned by buried tannins before culminating in a huge finish that is also monumentally proportioned. This built-to-age beauty will also require a considerable amount of patience as it should see its 50th birthday without undue effort. *Don't miss!*" (01/2012)
Starting Bid: $750.00

Bid on this 3-bottle lot of 2010 Domaine Mongeard-Mugneret Echézeaux Grand Cru (95JG, 92BH). John Gilman: "The 2010 Echézeaux from Domaine Mongeard-Mugneret is an outstanding example of the vintage, offering up a deep, pure and very elegant nose of plums, black cherries, cocoa powder, gamebirds, incipient notes of sous bois, bonfires, cedar and a touch of fresh thyme in the upper register. On the palate the wine is deep,. full-bodied and very pure on the attack, with a great core of fruit, tangy acids, impeccable focus and balance, fine-grained tannins and superb length and grip on the properly reserved finish. This is still many years away from starting to blossom, but this may well be the finest young vintage of this bottling I have ever tasted chez Mongeard." (01/2016)
