Bid on this 2-bottle lot of 2001 Domaine Louis Jadot Chambertin-Clos de Bèze Grand Cru (93BH, 90ST). Allen Meadows - Burghound: "A gorgeously perfumed, highly complex and wonderfully spicy nose combines with hints of earth and mostly red berry fruit aromas that are beginning to display some secondary development. The broad-shouldered and solidly powerful flavors also reflect the same attractive depth as the nose with a lovely minerality and excellent definition before culminating in a long, sappy and impeccably well-balanced finish. While sufficiently mature to be enjoyable now, for my taste I would allow another 4 to 6 years of cellar time first. In sum, while there is good punch and power, this is essentially a Clos de Bèze of refinement and elegance." (07/2012)
Starting Bid: $280.00

Bid on this 12-bottle lot of 2001 Louis Latour Corton-Charlemagne Grand Cru (OWC - 91BH) in original wood. Allen Meadows - Burghound: "Somewhat surprisingly given the large format bottling there is already noticeable secondary development present on the mildly exotic nose of both white and yellow orchard fruit that includes mango, melon and white peach. There is fine volume and mid-palate concentration to the impressively rich and seductively textured flavors that evidence a subtle minerality on the citrus-inflected finish that delivers good if not truly special depth and length. For my taste this is completely ready and while it will certain hold for years, particularly in jero, there is no specific reason to delay finding an occasion to open this!" (11/2013)
Starting Bid: $1,306.00
