93 points Robert Parker's Wine Advocate: "This medium-to-dark ruby-colored wine is a grand cru in quality, if not officially. Its perfumed nose of roses, sweet red fruits, blackberries, and hints of freshly laid asphalt leads to a stunning, medium-to-full-bodied, and silky-textured personality. Readers will be enthralled by this wine's richness, purity, and precision, as well as by its extraction and depth of fruit. It offers intense layers of black cherries, Asian spices, and just a faint hint of new oak toastiness. This refined, yet muscular, and formi...

88-90 points Robert Parker's Wine Advocate: "Exhibiting a medium-to-dark ruby color and lovely floral aromas of cherries, cassis, leather, and blackberries, this wine has excellent intensity and concentration of black fruits as well as earthy, and stony flavors. This medium-to-full-bodied, harmonious, introverted (particularly after the previous offering), and oily-textured wine also possesses a long and firm finish. (PR)" (08/1998) K&L Notes: Perfumed aromas of cranberries and mocha, with a sweet, fleshy mid-palate and good length.

Bid on this bottle of 1996 Domaine Leroy Latricières-Chambertin Grand Cru (97RP, (91-95ST), 94BH, 94WS, 93JG). Robert Parker's Wine Advocate: "The dark ruby/purple-colored 1996 Latricières-Chambertin offers fresh, pure blueberry aromas. This massive, full-bodied wine has stupendous depth, breadth, and length to its blackberry, cherry, and floral character. It is immensely powerful as well as concentrated, and has its vintage's trademark freshness and grip. (PR)" (10/2000)
Starting Bid: $2,550.00

Bid on this bottle of 1996 Domaine Trapet Pere & Fils Chambertin Grand Cru ((92-94RP), 94VN, 92JG, 90WS). Vinous: "Poured from magnum, the 1996 Chambertin Grand Cru shows just a small sign of brettanomyces on the nose, yet somehow it does not seem to compromise the delineation with buoyant red and black fruit mixed with iodine and violets. The palate is focused and firm with plenty of pastille-like red fruit, sour cherries and clove. This feels very harmonious all the way through to its substantial finish - a great Chambertin from Trapet. (NM)" (05/2019)
Starting Bid: $261.00

Bid on this 2-bottle lot of 1996 Domaine du Clos Frantin (Bichot) Grands Echezeaux Grand Cru. Wine Spectator: "Supple wine, so fat it's approachable upon release. Offers a round, smooth tannin structure, ripe fruit and excellent complexity of toasted oak, wet earth, plum and red- and blackberry notes. Turns silky on the finish. " (09/1988)
