Robert Parker's Wine Advocate: "The Chambolle-Musigny Les Amoureuses should prove to be a winner. It is dark in color, with an expansively fragrant, ripe bouquet of flowers and plums. This silky, medium-bodied wine has very good concentration and moderate, rather gentle tannins. (RP)" (12/1989)
Price: $299.00
Bid on this 2-bottle lot of 1983 Domaine Faiveley Nuits-St.-Georges 1er Cru "Clos de la Marechale". Allen Meadows - Burghound: "Still relatively deeply colored though there is some mild bricking at the rim. A slightly barnyard-affected nose displays plenty of earth and game scents along with hints of brown sugar. There is still reasonably good intensity to the robust and rustic flavors where, like many '83s today, are supported by firm and somewhat inelegant tannins on the ever-so-slightly drying and warm finish. This is a typical '83 in the sense that it is still alive and in no danger of falling over the edge anytime soon but with that comes a lack of balance and harmony. As such I would be inclined to drink this sooner than later." (11/2015)
