1989 Domaine du Vieux Telegraphe "La Crau" Châteauneuf-du-Pape (1.5L)
Bid on this 2-magnum lot of 1989 Domaine du Vieux Telegraphe "La Crau" Châteauneuf-du-Pape (1.5L) (91RP). Robert Parker's Wine Advocate: "More masculine, black fruit-driven, mineral and ripe than the 1990, the 1989 Chateauneuf du Pape is a full-bodied, structured and chewy effort that's fully mature, yet has the concentration and depth to continue evolving nicely. 2011 Schrader "Beckstoffer To Kalon" Napa Valley Cabernet Sauvignon
Bid on this bottle of 2011 Schrader "Beckstoffer To Kalon" Napa Valley Cabernet Sauvignon (96RP, 90WS). Robert Parker's Wine Advocate: "The impressive 2011 Cabernet Sauvignon Beckstoffer To Kalon Vineyard is one of the richest of Schrader’s 2011s. Thomas Brown told me that this particular block was picked before the heavy rainfalls arrived and production was a minuscule three-quarters of a ton per acre. Hence, only 52 cases were made. It is a big, rich, atypical wine for a 2011. Year-in and year-out this is one of the most interesting as well as fascinating group of wines and projects in Napa Valley. First, Schrader has two committed owners, secondly a brilliant winemaker in Thomas Brown, and thirdly, one of the true first-growth vineyard sites in all of Napa Valley, the famed Beckstoffer-owned To Kalon Vineyard in Oakville. Bid on this bottle of 1992 Araujo "Eisele Vineyard" Napa Valley Cabernet Sauvignon ((94-96RP), 92WS). Robert Parker's Wine Advocate: "Another fabulous wine from this superb vineyard, it displays a sweet, pure nose of blackcurrants, minerals, and spices. Full-bodied, tannic, and powerful, as well as undeveloped, it exhibits the potential for 20-25 years of aging. A splendidly rich Cabernet Sauvignon, with outstanding balance and purity, it will not be mature before the turn of the century. (RP)" (12/1994)

1994 Dunn Napa Valley Cabernet Sauvignon
Bid on this 3-bottle lot of 1994 Dunn Napa Valley Cabernet Sauvignon (94CG, 94RP). Robert Parker's Wine Advocate: "The 1994s might be ready to drink within 10-15 years. It is hard to believe these wines spend 30 months in oak casks before bottling as they are incredibly unevolved and backward when released. The 1994 Cabernet Sauvignon Napa reveals an opaque purple color, followed by a sweet, rich, black currant and creme de cassis-scented nose with no evidence of oak. This fruit bomb displays considerable breadth and expansiveness on the palate, in essence revealing only two dimensions - fruit and tannin. It is slightly softer and more precocious than the 1995 and 1996, so perhaps it will only need 10, rather than 15 years of cellaring. This immensely impressive Cabernet is a candidate for 20-30 years of cellaring. One of the issues about which Randy Dunn is sensitive is the fact that his wines are so remarkably consistent that it is often difficult to tell vintages apart. I think the

So attractive now but will improve for many years to come. 76% Cabernet Sauvignon and 24% Cabernet Franc. This is the first vintage." (05/2014)

Bid on this 3-bottle lot of 2006 Ridge Vineyards "Monte Bello" Santa Cruz Mountains Cabernet Sauvignon (95VN, 94RP, 93JS, 92W&S). Vinous: "A dark, brooding beauty, the 2006 Monte Bello is still very, very young. The aromatics alone are enticing, but the tannins still need time to soften. The 2006 is a masculine, vertical Monte Bello that demands cellaring. Even so, it is pretty impressive today. Scents of lavender, sage, mint and savory herbs add closing flourishes. The perfumed sweetness of the fruit (one of the hallmarks of the very late harvest) remains one of the signatures of the 2006. The 2006 can be enjoyed today or cellared for another 25+ years. Violets, cassis, licorice and black raspberries all flow to a rich, concentrated blend that's much more supple, rounded and forward than the 2015, while still showing plenty of grip and focus. 2013 Bedrock Wine Company "Weill a Way Vineyard - Exposition Two" Sonoma Valley Syrah
Bid on this bottle of 2013 Bedrock Wine Company "Weill a Way Vineyard - Exposition Two" Sonoma Valley Syrah (100RP, 96WS). Robert Parker's Wine Advocate: "The 2013 Syrah Exposition 2 is a perfect wine. This is 50% destemmed and co-fermented with 8% Viognier. Bacon fat, lychee, tapenade, black raspberry and black cherry liqueur soar through the explosive aromatics of this wine. The wine hits the palate with the extraordinary silkiness, fine-grained tannin, massive concentration, but the balance and precision of a ballerina. This is truly prodigious wine that could also be considered the La Mouline of Sonoma, although I suspect these are all supposed to be the equivalents of La Mouline, La Landonne and La Turque. This is an immensely satisfying wine graced with striking inner sweetness and a vibrancy that will drink well for another 15+ years. The density of the fruit at ten years of age is remarkable. On the palate the wine is deep, full-bodied and very complex, with a vibrant core of fruit, still tangy acids, lovely focus and balance and great length and grip on the pure and succulent finish. Allen Meadows - Burghound: "A spicy, perfumed and fully mature nose offers up plenty of earth and exotic tea elements where the fruit runs much more toward the red side of the spectrum. The velvety and wonderfully refined medium weight flavors exude a lovely minerality on the pure and focused finish that possesses a dusty palate impression. I very much like the persistence as the finale seems to disappear only to return several times. 1970 Viña Real Gran Reserva Rioja
Bid on this bottle of 1970 Viña Real Gran Reserva Rioja (94RP). Robert Parker's Wine Advocate: "The 1970s saw major changes in Rioja: the first "modern" wines were produced by Marqués de Cáceres, Remelluri and Contino, and the aging time in wood for wines was shortened in general. Until then, six years in barrique was the norm (almost the minimum) for reds, and this time was shortened during the 1970s and 1980s until the approximate two years of today. The breakdown by variety was about 40% Tempranillo, 40% Garnacha and 20% of the rest, mainly Mazuelo and Graciano. 1970 was a very famous vintage in Rioja, the one that provoked the extension of the vineyards. … This was a very ripe vintage, and the wine seems to be aging faster than other vintages, with a little sweet fruit, ripe and fully resolved. The 1970 Viña Real Gran Reserva was bottled in February 1975. There was a bit of discussion about this wine, as it was one of the most anticipated vintages. At this age, of course, there are

2014 Louis M. Martini Alexander Valley Cabernet Sauvignon
Bid on this 4-bottle lot of 2014 Louis M. Martini Alexander Valley Cabernet Sauvignon (97RP). Robert Parker's Wine Advocate: "The bigger, richer 2014 Cabernet Sauvignon Alexander Valley is 98% Cabernet Sauvignon and 2% Petite Sirah aged 16 months in 50% new French and American casks. This is a bigger wine and close to 2% higher in alcohol at 15.5%. There are 11,000 cases of this big, full-bodied, boisterous Cabernet Sauvignon that has a dense ruby/purple color, notes of underbrush, forest floor, tobacco leaf and oodles of blackcurrants and black cherries, with a touch of woodsmoke. 1978 Figeac, St. Emilion
Bid on this bottle of 1978 Figeac, St. Emilion (90RP). Robert Parker's Wine Advocate: "Tasted at the Château Figeac vertical at the property, the 1978 Figeac is clearly better than the 1979 and puts in a very commendable performance here. It is similar in color to the 1979, but the nose is fresher and more vital: Provençal herbs, a tinge of dried blood plus vestiges of red berry fruit. Yes, it is a little leafy, but it is exactly what you would expect from the 1978. The palate is medium-bodied with very fine acidity, plenty of blood orange and brown spices, cohesive with more weight and harmony than the succeeding vintage. "Old school" for sure, but at 37 years of age, this is a match for the Cheval Blanc 1978 that I tasted two months before this. (NM)" (08/2016)

Of the 2012 Saxum "James Berry Vineyard" Paso Robles Rhône Blend,Robert Parker's Wine Advocate writes: "There are 1,580 cases of the 2012 James Berry Vineyard and it reminds me of the 2009 Janasse Chaupin (which is one of Justin’s favorite wines). Incorporating more Mourvedre than normal, it’s made from 43% Grenache, 29% Mourvedre, 18% Syrah and 10% Counoise that’s aged in a combination of concrete and barrel. Rock star stuff, with fabulous black raspberry, cassis, spring flowers and charred meat aromas and flavors, this beauty hits the palate with full-bodied richness and depth, yet stays lively, incredibly pure and elegant, with lots of fine tannin emerging on the finish. It will benefit from 2-3 years in the cellar and have 15-2

1982 Grand-Puy-Lacoste, Pauillac
Bid on this bottle of 1982 Grand-Puy-Lacoste, Pauillac (96RP, 91ST). Robert Parker's Wine Advocate: "This is a tour de force, and one of the all-time great Grand-Puy-Lacostes ever produced, as I hope the 2000 and 2005 will become. This is an inky/purple, beefy, broad, super-rich Pauillac revealing classic creme de cassis notes intermixed with hints of spring flowers and crushed rocks. Full-bodied with sweet tannin, shocking concentration, and layers of fruit, this irresistible 1982 is still an adolescent in terms of its evolution. Anticipated maturity: now-2035. (RP)" (06/2009)

2013 Booker "Vertigo" Paso Robles Rhône Blend
Bid on this 2-bottle lot of 2013 Booker "Vertigo" Paso Robles Rhône Blend (97RP, 94VN, 90WS). Robert Parker's Wine Advocate: "Another wine coming in at the top (past actually) of its barrel rating, the 2013 Vertigo is comprised of 45% Syrah, 29% Mourvedre and 26% Grenache, all of which saw 40-50% new French oak. This full-bodied, concentrated, beautifully pure and sexy GSM blend offers bombastic notes of creme de cassis, vanilla bean, licorice and crushed violets. Already complex and hard to resist, it should evolve nicely for 7-8 years. It is without a doubt the best vintage ever for this wine! (JD)" (08/2015)

1989 Léoville-Las-Cases, St-Julien
Bid on this bottle of 1989 Léoville-Las-Cases, St-Julien (96WS, 90RP). Wine Spectator: "Very ripe, with raisin and dried fruits on the nose. You can smell the sun-dried grapes. Full-bodied, delivering firm tannins and a very fresh palate. Long and flavorful, offering currant, berries and all sorts of dark fruits, but turns lightly earthy and floral. This is a thoroughly complex wine. Just starting to really open into the mature 20-year-old wine it is, but such a great life ahead of it. Muscular. (JS, Web Only-2010)"

1986 Montrose, St-Estèphe
Bid on this bottle of 1986 Montrose, St-Estèphe (98DC, 95WS, 92RP). Decanter: "This is a masterclass in the ageing aromas of Bordeaux. It sits exactly at the spot at which you still have a tightening and a menthol freshness on this finish, with cassis fruit that is still very much tight and young, but where the more gentle, spicy, brushed almond and cedar flavours start to intrude. Beautiful wine, amazing, it deepens through the palate, the expression changes and evolves, it's tertiary but still with flesh, gorgeous. Drinking Window 2017-2032. (JA)" (03/2017)

This rich, impressive, full-bodied wine represents the finest Pontet-Canet produced since the 1961. Bid on this magnum of 2009 M. Chapoutier "Le Méal" Ermitage Rouge (1.5L) (100RP, 97WS). Robert Parker's Wine Advocate: "Even inkier in color than the 2010, the 2009 Ermitage le Meal is as good as Hermitage gets. Locked and loaded with phenomenal notes of jammy black raspberries, creme de cassis, crushed violets, smoked earth and spice, it's thick and unctuous on the palate, with incredible density, a huge mid-palate and a layered, multi-dimensional, seamless, elegant texture that just keeps you coming back and begging for another sip. More hedonistic and voluptuous than the 2010, it should still evolve for just as long, yet have even a broader drink window. Drink 2015-2049. (JD)" (09/2015)

Bid on this bottle of 2001 Bond "Melbury" Napa Valley Bordeaux Blend (98RP, 97ST, 96VN, 95WE, 94WS). Robert Parker's Wine Advocate: "The 2001 Cabernet Sauvignon Melbury (a dead ringer for Pauillac) has an opaque blue/purple color and an extraordinarily sweet nose of charcoal, lead pencil shavings, cedar wood, black currants, licorice and spice box. Full-bodied, with great intensity, purity and texture, this is a wonderfully dense, full-throttle wine that is still an adolescent and likely to stay one for at least another 5-7 years. Hefty, but suave and seamless. The finish lets graphite and licorice elements glide through. The structure is dense, polished and perfectly integrated, resulting in lovely length. Bid on this bottle of 2014 Cayuse "Cailloux Vineyard" Walla Walla Valley Syrah (100RP, 95WS, 94JS, 94WE, 93VN). Robert Parker's Wine Advocate: "Incorporating a touch more Viognier than normal, the 2014 Syrah Cailloux Vineyard is 93% Syrah and 7% Viognier from the first vineyard planted in the stones region of Walla Walla. Sporting a surprisingly deep, inky color, it offers a heavenly bouquet of black olives, tobacco leaf, smoked meats, pepper, blackcurrant and black cherry notes. Deep, rich and ever changing in the glass, with incredible complexity and layers, this full-bodied masterpiece has building tannin, a stacked mid-palate and a great, great finish. 2014 Maybach "Amoenus" Calistoga Cabernet Sauvignon
Bid on this bottle of 2014 Maybach "Amoenus" Calistoga Cabernet Sauvignon (98RP). Robert Parker's Wine Advocate: "The 2014 Amoenus comes from a western hillside vineyard near Calistoga that is actually cooler than the general area. This wine always exhibits plenty of crushed rock, wet gravel minerality, notes of forest floor, spring flowers and copious quantities of blackberry and crème de cassis with a hint of lead pencil shavings and pen ink. The 2014 is dense and full-bodied, but with low acidity and ripe well-integrated tannin. It is strutting its stuff, however it should be even better with 5-7 years of bottle age and last 25-30 years. They produce 330 cases of this glorious wine that tips the scales at 14.7% natural alcohol. (RP)" (10/2016)

2011 Saxum "Bone Rock - James Berry Vineyard" Paso Robles Syrah (1.5L)
Bid on this magnum of 2011 Saxum "Bone Rock - James Berry Vineyard" Paso Robles Syrah (1.5L) (97RP, 97VN, 95ST, 93WS). Robert Parker's Wine Advocate: "The 2011 Syrah James Berry Vineyard Bone Rock opens in the glass with complex aromas of ripe black fruits, rich spice, cracked pepper, licorice and savory notions of grilled meats. On the palate, it's full-bodied, fine-grained and intensely concentrated, with a firm, tight-knit core and unusual energy. The finish is long, precise and penetrating. While the 2011 vintage tends to be tainted by association with the challenges producers faced on California's North Coast, conditions were not so adverse in Paso Robles: at Saxum, the year seems to have produced some of the most tight-knit wines of Justin Smith's career, and the wines have the potential to be unusually long-lived.
