2017 Domaine Bouchard Père et Fils Meursault 1er Cru "Les Perrières" (Pre-Arrival)

92-95 points Vinous: "Sexy aromas of peach, pineapple and crushed stone. A step up from the Genevrières in suavity and mineral definition, displaying captivating inner-mouth lift and perfume. Large-scaled, tactile yet precise, this beauty finishes with terrific palate-saturating length and verve. Boasts the classic wet-stone minerality of this great premier cru--and it tastes more concentrated than its yield of 45 hectoliters per hectare would suggest. (ST)" (09/2018) 92-94 points Robert Parker's Wine Advocate: "Aromas of ripe lemons, praline, crushed ...

2016 Domaine Bouchard Père et Fils Meursault 1er Cru "Genevrières"

93 points Allen Meadows - Burghound: "Residual SO2 is sufficient to dominate the nose today. Marvelously energetic and intensely mineral-driven flavors also possess excellent cut that characterizes the bitter lemon and saline-inflected finish that delivers seriously fine length. This chiseled effort is almost Chablis-like and will require at least a few years of bottle age first. *Sweet Spot, Outstanding*" (06/2018) 93 points Wine Spectator: "Lean and tight, with oak spice wrapped around a core of lemon, apple and stone flavors. Firms up in the end, ye ...

2016 Domaine Bouchard Père et Fils Meursault 1er Cru "Les Perrières"

93 points Allen Meadows - Burghound: "Here there is no reductive funk with its elegant, airy and cool aromas of citrus peel, acacia, spice and a whiff of Granny Smith apples. The middle weight and focused flavors are stony to the point of imparting the sense of rolling a small pebble around in the mouth, all wrapped in linear, energetic and very dry but not austere finale. This definitely needs time to flesh out and unwind as it's very tight at present. *Sweet Spot, Outstanding*" (06/2018) 91-93 points Robert Parker's Wine Advocate: "The 2016 Meursault ...

2015 Domaine Bouchard Père et Fils Meursault 1er Cru "Les Genevrières"

93 points Wine Spectator: "Lush and creamy, featuring peach, lemon cake, honey and spice flavors. Balanced and expressive, with a long, smooth aftertaste that evokes hints of orange and mineral. Best from 2019 through 2027. " (08/2017) 92 points Wine & Spirits: "Bouchard’s domaine includes 6.5 acres of Genevrières, a premier cru at the south end of Meursault where the east-southeast exposure contributes to the early ripening of the fruit. This is a powerful wine that needs time in a decanter for the flesh to completely fill out the structure of the alc ...

2016 Domaine Joseph Drouhin Meursault

91 points John Gilman: "This is a great village wine and my favorite of the three top Côte de Beaune white ACs in 2016. The very pretty and complex nose delivers fine purity in its classic blend of apple, pear, almond, bee pollen, chalky soil tones and a discreet framing of vanillin oak. On the palate the wine is pure, full-bodied, crisp and beautifully balanced, with a lovely core and a very elegant, long and zesty finish. A beautiful bottle of Meursault. (Drink between 2018-2035) " (11/2017) 91 points James Suckling: "Five plots around the village. T ...

2016 Domaine Latour-Giraud Meursault 1er Cru "Genevrières"

90-93 points Allen Meadows - Burghound: "Naturally exotic aromas are composed of Asian-style tea and the essence of pear and acacia blossom. The middle weight flavors possess both a finer mouth feel as well as more minerality though not the same power as this is almost delicate on the cool, pure and admirably well-balanced finale. Lovely stuff." (06/2018) 92 points Decanter: "Rich and creamy with great weight of apricot fruit and citrus elements, but not at the expense of acidity. There’s spicy oak, considerable minerality and great drive. The wine is ...

2017 Domaine Bouchard Père et Fils Meursault 1er Cru "Genevrières" (Pre-Arrival)

94 points Decanter: "The best of Bouchard's array of Meursaults in 2017, this hails from two parcels, both in Genevrières Dessus; a total of 2.65ha. Pale, scented and well balanced, it has spicy 15% new wood, good texture and weight, and notes of citrus and beeswax. Drinking Window 2020-2025. (TA) " (10/2018) 94 points Wine Spectator: "The honey, white peach, apple and subtle lime blossom aromas and flavors in this elegant white are compelling. Takes a soft-sell approach, with enticing complexity and intensity, set on a light-weight frame. Terrific l ...

2016 Xavier Monnot Meursault "Les Chevalieres"

Robert Parker's Wine Advocate: "The 2016 Meursault Chevalieres has an attractive nose with scents of fresh pear, lime flower and citrus fruit. Perhaps I would like a little more Meursault nuttiness to come through. The palate is medium-bodied with a lightly honeyed opening, hints of almond and green apple, nicely balanced with a pretty, quite detailed finish. A charmer! Drink now-2022. (NM)" (12/2017)

2017 Henri Boillot Meursault

89-91 points Robert Parker's Wine Advocate: "The 2017 Meursault Village is a blend of superior lieux-dits including Narvaux, En la Barre, Limuzin and Clos du Cromin this year, and the resulting cuvée is lovely. Offering up aromas of pear, fresh peach, oatmeal and honeycomb, it's medium to full-bodied, satiny and elegant, with juicy acids and lovely purity, accessible but endowed with all the energy and cut that are Boillot's declared objectives. (WK)" (01/2019) 88-91 points Vinous: "(the crop level here was a reasonable 40 hectoliters per hectare, acco ...

2015 Domaine Bouchard Père et Fils Meursault 1er Cru "Les Perrières"

92 points Allen Meadows - Burghound: " more restrained nose combines aromas of mineral reduction, petrol, pear, apple and acacia. There is a lovely sense of energy to the intensely stony ultra-refined flavors that exhibit excellent persistence on the focused and balanced finale. This is at once seductive and classy and should also drink reasonably well young but reward up to a decade of cellaring." 2016 Domaine Latour-Giraud Meursault "Narvaux"

88-91 points Allen Meadows - Burghound: "Hints of olive oil and petrol add breadth to the pear compote and acacia blossom scents. Once again there is outstanding richness to the full-bodied flavors though in this case they are much more mineral-driven with excellent power and persistence on the markedly dry but not really austere finish. This is a big wine even for Narvaux and one that will need at least a few years to unwind." 2016 Domaine Thierry et Pascale Matrot Meursault 1er Cru "Blagny"

89-92 points Vinous: "(no new oak for this and all subsequent '16s except for the Quintessence): Bright, light yellow. Pure, complex nose combines aromas of peach, lemon, flowers and crushed stone. Lovely Meursault richness here, and not at all in a Puligny style, as this cuvée can often be. More open-knit than the Meursault Charmes, showing good stuffing but also good grip, with a lemon drop flavor and a mineral underpinning giving it backbone. Finishes tactile and chewy, with very good energy and lift. (ST)" (09/2017) Jancis Robinson: "Seductively cr ...

2016 Domaine Roulot Meursault "Luchets" (Pre-Arrival)

89-91 points Allen Meadows - Burghound: "A pure and pretty nose offers up notes of essence of pear, acacia blossom and citrus along with hints of petrol and matchstick. The medium weight flavors are notably rich and caressing, indeed even tender, while the delicious finish is borderline delicate. This is a lovely exercise in finesse and grace." (06/2018) 91 points Decanter: "The Luchets is also very fine in 2016, bursting with aromas of apple blossom, lemon oil, lime and crème pâtissière. 2016 Domaine Roulot Meursault "Vireuils" (Pre-Arrival)

89-91 points Allen Meadows - Burghound: "This had just been racked and was aromatically unreadable. Here too the palate impression of the middle weight flavors is energetic while once again offering a step up in refinement along with more minerality if perhaps not quite the same richness on the youthfully austere bitter-lemon inflected finish. In its current condition this is a bit awkward but the underlying material is such that I am confident that it will come together well. *Outstanding*" (06/2018) 91 points Decanter: "The Vireuils is superb in this ...

Here too there is excellent volume and intensity to the even more mineral-inflected flavors that culminate in a gorgeously long if youthfully austere finale. Some patience would be beneficial." Bid on this bottle of 2009 Domaine Arnaud Ente Meursault "Clos de Ambres" (93JG, (89-91BH), 91RP, 91ST, 91VN). John Gilman: "The 2009 Clos des Ambres is one of the few 2009s that I tasted on this trip which showed off the same crystalline profile that was evident in so many top white wines in the 2008 vintage. The very complex bouquet is excellent, as it offers up scents of apple, lemon, orange, great minerality, a touch of iodine, hints of the nuttiness to come, vanillin oak and a topnote of apple blossoms. On the palate the wine is full-bodied, crisp and very minerally on the backend, with a fine core, snappy acids and great focus and cut on the finish. Just a beautiful bottle of Meursault. Ripe, fruity aromas of yellow peach, orange juice and lemon. Sweet and opulent but with good inner-mouth tension; a seductive fruit bomb of a Meursault with a seamless texture. 2005 Domaine Arnaud Ente Meursault "La Sève du Clos"
Bid on this bottle of 2005 Domaine Arnaud Ente Meursault "La Sève du Clos" (96JG, (91-93BH), 93ST). John Gilman: "This is the very old vine bottling from Monsieur Ente’s parcel in en l’Ormeau, with the vines now over one hundred years of age. I was very intrigued that he decided to serve this next in the lineup, as this is normally the last Meursault served, but he explained that he wanted to continue with the same terroir in the progression. This has typically been his best wine year in and year out, and the 2007 is pure magic. The bouquet is flat out brilliant, as it explodes from the glass in a haze of iodine, orange, passion fruit, lime zest, kaleidoscopic minerality, a touch of hazelnut, spring flowers and perhaps somewhere in all these aromatic fireworks there is a touch of new oak. On the palate the wine is full-bodied, crisp and backward, with a rock solid core of fruit, an unbelievable blade of minerality, and stunning length and grip on the racy, tensile and laser-like finish

There is good breadth if only slightly better than average depth to the dry but not particularly austere finish. A solid if not truly exceptional villages." (06/2013)

Nicely balanced if on the lean side, showing lovely cut and definition to its brisk flavors of lemon oil, orange zest and spices. Firm but not hard. (Ente's Bourgogne Aligoté offers an aromatic nose of orange oil and flowers and a chewy, sappy palate impression, with a surprisingly fleshy old-vines richness to buffer its impression of tautness. Bid on this bottle of 2006 Arnaud Ente Meursault 1er Cru "Les Petits Charrons" (94JG, (92-93RP), 91ST, (87-90BH)). John Gilman: "The 2006 Petits Charrons, which is a beautifully situated lieu à dit right below Chevalières on the slope, is absolutely brilliant. Monsieur Ente’s parcel of vines here are fifty-seven years of age, and they clearly have excelled in 2006, as this is the first vintage (since the wine’s inception in 2004) that it has been serve after the premier cru of Goutte d’Or. The wine is stunning, as it soars from the glass in a stunning mélange of apple, tangerine, lemon, iodine, almonds, lovely minerality and vanillin oak. On the palate the wine is full-bodied, very deep and racy, with stunning expression of minerality, great acids and cut, a bottomless core of fruit and brilliant length and grip on the complex and profound finish. Magical wine." (12/2007)

Bid on this bottle of 2007 Domaine Arnaud Ente Meursault "Clos de Ambres" (93JG, (89-91BH), 90RP, 90ST). John Gilman: "The Clos des Ambres bottling in ’07 takes the beautiful depth and precision of the Meursault village and adds more dimension, more precision and a crystalline glaze over both the fruit and the soil expressions and produces one of the most beautiful young Meursaults I have had the pleasure to taste. The bouquet is a deep, pure and very classic expression of Meursault, as it delivers a stunning blend of apples, orange, lemon oil, brilliantly complex minerality and a pungent topnote of citrus blossoms. On the palate the wine is full-bodied, rock solid at the core and very tensile, with brilliant focus and cut, just perfect balance and a very long, quite reserved and crystalline finish.
