1994 Léoville-Barton, St-Julien

90 points Robert Parker's Wine Advocate: "It is no secret that Anthony Barton's efforts over the last decade at his St.-Julien estate, Leoville-Barton, is resulting in terrific wines at still reasonable prices. This estate has been extremely successful in recent vintages. An impressive, serious, classic Bordeaux for collectors who are willing to forget about it for at least a decade, this well-endowed offering is a 30-year wine. The dense, murky, purple color, closed aromatics, massive flavor richness, and high tannin recall the old, non-compromised, bee ...Read More »

1994 Angélus, St-Emilion (3L)

93 points Robert Parker's Wine Advocate: "In the new classification of St.-Emilion, justice was certainly served with the elevation of Angelus to premier grand cru classe status. No Bordeaux estate has been making as concentrated and consistently high quality wines as has Angelus since 1988. Even in the rain-plagued vintage of 1992, Angelus produced a wine of uncommon power, ripeness, and intensity. This estate is in many ways symbolic of what heights Bordeaux can achieve when a property is managed by someone as passionate and driven as Hubert de Bouard. ...Read More »

1994 Taylor Vintage Port

100 points James Suckling: "This is, to date, the greatest Vintage Port ever from here. It overwhelmed me years ago when I tasted it from barrel, but only now is it crossing gradually into its drinking window. The intensity is still mind-boggling here, with sweet-and-sour notes as well as mounds of clay. There are violets lurking somewhere too. A full-bodied, medium sweet and sublime Vintage Port, showing forest fruits and freshly picked blackberries on the palate in the form of a creamy, focused and tannic texture." 1994 Harlan Estate Napa Valley Bordeaux Blend Back In Stock!
1994 Harlan Estate Napa Valley Bordeaux Blend

100 points Robert Parker's Wine Advocate: "What can I say about the 1994? I have tasted the wine for three consecutive years, and each time it satisfied all of my requirements for perfection. The opaque purple color is followed by spectacular aromatics that soar from the glass, offering up celestial levels of black currants, minerals, smoked herbs, cedar wood, coffee, and pain grille. In the mouth, this seamless legend reveals full body, and exquisite layers of phenomenally pure and rich fruit, followed by a 40+ second finish. While accessible, the 1994 ...Read More »

1994 Through The Grapevine "Fanny Fougerat" Single Cask Borderies Cognac(750ml)

Through the Grapevine has taken the Scottish independent bottler model to the Charentes scouring the chais there for special casks and small batch blends. This amazing single cask from Fanny Fougerat is one of the few vintage Cognac available and represents 4 generations of experience producing brandy. The Fougerat family has long produced super high quality cognac to be sold to the large houses, in particular Martell, but in 2013 the Fanny the next in line to take over the business, began her own line. Drawing from the families stocks they selected this ...Read More »

1994 Grand-Puy-Lacoste, Pauillac

90 points Robert Parker's Wine Advocate: "Grand-Puy-Lacoste is the drinker's Pauillac. It is not an investment wine (having been largely forgotten by the trophy hunters and investors looking to make a quick buck), although certain vintages (1982 and 1990) have tripled in price. Grand-Puy-Lacoste, usually loaded with character and personality, has enjoyed three fine vintages in 1993-95, with each of these years under-priced for such quality. The 1994 has turned out to be an outstanding effort for this estate. The wine reveals even more flesh than it did p ...Read More »

1994 Pahlmeyer Napa Valley Merlot

95 points Robert Parker's Wine Advocate: "The just-released 1994 Merlot is a terrific example of this varietal, and one of the finest I have ever tasted from California. The wine reveals a dense purple color, followed by a super fragrant nose of chocolate, mocha, toast, and black-cherry fruit. Full-bodied, but not heavy, this expansive, chewy, opulently textured wine should drink well for 15 or more years. With the assistance of consulting oenologist Helen Turley, the Pahlmeyer wines have emerged as some of the finest in northern California. At present, ...Read More »

1994 Staglin Family Vineyard Rutherford Cabernet Sauvignon

Robert Parker's Wine Advocate: "The 1994 Cabernet Sauvignon is a graceful, vanillin-scented, medium to full-bodied wine that emphasizes Cabernet's red fruit character. It is pure and well-balanced, with moderate tannin in the attractive, Bordeaux-like finish. Anticipated maturity: 2001-2016. " (12/1997) Wine Spectator: "This is a big, ruggedly tannic youngster, with dense, complex currant, pencil lead, blackberry and cedary oak flavors that offer complexity and richness. But on the finish the tannins are nearly overpowering. (JL)" (11/2004) K&L Notes ...Read More »

1994 La Jota "13th Anniversary" Napa Valley Cabernet Sauvignon (1.5L) (lightly soiled labels)

96 points Robert Parker's Wine Advocate: "The formidable 1994 Cabernet Sauvignon 13th Anniversary Release may be the finest Cabernet Sauvignon Joan and Bill Smith have yet made. It boasts an opaque purple color, followed by a smoky, toasty, mineral, and cassis-scented nose, great persistence in the mouth, massive body, and an expansive, chewy, blockbuster finish, without coming across as excessively heavy or overweight. Give it 5-6 years of cellaring, and drink it over the following 20-25 years. It is a Cabernet legend in the making! (RP)" (12/1997) 93 ...Read More »

1994 Dunn Howell Mountain Cabernet Sauvignon (1.5L)
Bid on this magnum of 1994 Dunn Howell Mountain Cabernet Sauvignon (1.5L) (96RP, 94CG, 92WS). Robert Parker's Wine Advocate: "Look out for the behemoth 1994 Cabernet Sauvignon Howell Mountain. This black/purple-colored wine adds a few more nuances (minerals, licorice, and floral scents) to the lavish display of crème de cassis. Full-bodied, with a blockbuster level of extract and density, this is an outstanding Cabernet Sauvignon for readers with patience, good genes for longevity, or the foresight to purchase it for their children. 1994 Silverado Napa Valley Cabernet Sauvignon Back In Stock!
1994 Silverado Napa Valley Cabernet Sauvignon

Vinous: "Healthy deep red-ruby. Truffle, graphite, mocha, dark cherry, earthy underbrush and a hint of peppery herbs on the nose. Supple in texture, showing a distinctly herbaceous component but also good remaining spicy fruit. Finishes with substantial tongue-dusting tannins. A fine-grained if slightly green Cabernet with very good length and firm tannic clout. Full of life. (ST)" (07/2015)

1994 Léoville-Las Cases, St-Julien (1.5L)
Bid on this magnum of 1994 Léoville-Las Cases, St-Julien (1.5L) ((92-94VN), 93RP). Vinous: "Excellent deep, saturated color. Sexy aromas of black cherry, cassis, and toasty, smoky oak. Wonderful sweetness and texture, with terrific perfume. More pliable than the '95 Las Cases. Tannins are extremely well integrated for a cabernet-based '94. I don't find the austerity that Delon cites. (ST)" (05/1996)

1994 Dunn Howell Mountain Cabernet Sauvignon
Bid on this 3-bottle lot of 1994 Dunn Howell Mountain Cabernet Sauvignon (97VN, 96RP, 92WS). Vinous: "A wine that takes over all the senses, Dunn's 1994 Cabernet Sauvignon Howell Mountain is a drop-dead gorgeous beauty. New leather, smoke and spices are some of the many notes that develop in the glass, adding complexity and character. This is an especially powerful, brooding vintage for the Howell Mountain. All the elements fall into place effortlessly. The 1994 is rich, broad, ample and incredibly expressive today. What a wine. (AG)" (02/2014)

1994 Caymus "Special Selection" Napa Valley Cabernet Sauvignon
Bid on this bottle of 1994 Caymus "Special Selection" Napa Valley Cabernet Sauvignon (95RP, 93WS). Robert Parker's Wine Advocate: "This hedonistic Cabernet Sauvignon's saturated purple color is accompanied by an exuberant, sweet, enveloping fragrance of smoky new oak, and jammy blackberry and cassis fruit. In the mouth, this lavishly wooded, black fruit-filled Cabernet is extremely full-bodied, with superb levels of fruit, glycerin, and extract. Like many 1994 Cabernet Sauvignons, it possesses extraordinary equilibrium, with the sweet tannin giving the wine considerable accessibility. The finish lasts for nearly 30 seconds. This will be a fun wine to drink young, but do not discount its aging ability as it should last for two decades. (RP)" (12/1997)

1994 Silverado "Limited Reserve" Napa Valley Cabernet Sauvignon

93 points Wine Spectator: "A dramatic effort. This Cabernet is bold, ripe, rich and concentrated, gushing with minty currant, black cherry, plum and wild berry flavors. It's highly extracted, delivers a long, rich aftertaste. Drinks well now, will be even better from 2000 to 2002." (11/97)

Bid on this magnum of 1994 Cos d'Estournel, St-Estèphe (1.5L) ((90-92VN), 91RP, 91WS). Vinous: "Gingery sweet oak, black raspberry, black cherry and spice on the nose. Dense and firm, with very good concentration. Expressive and enticing thanks to the very ripe merlot (for the half of the crop that did not go through reverse osmosis, the merlot was chaptalized just a half degree, vs. two for the Cabernet Sauvignon). Deep and long, with enough acidity to give the wine excellent balance. (ST)" (05/1996)

1994 Robert Groffier Chambolle-Musigny 1er Cru "Les Amoureuses"
Bid on this bottle of 1994 Robert Groffier Chambolle-Musigny 1er Cru "Les Amoureuses" (91BH). Allen Meadows - Burghound: "While there is a whiff of volatile acidity it is sufficiently slight that it does not materially detract from the overall appeal of the spicy secondary-fruit suffused nose. There is a lovely mouth feel to the delicious and mineral-driven flavors that, remarkably enough, culminate in a balanced finish where there is no trace of the under-ripe and tough tannins displayed by so many '94s today. A very good effort and particularly so for the vintage." (04/2017)

1994 Dunn Napa Valley Cabernet Sauvignon (1.5L)
Bid on this magnum of 1994 Dunn Napa Valley Cabernet Sauvignon (1.5L) (94RP). Robert Parker's Wine Advocate: "The 1994 Cabernet Sauvignon Napa reveals an opaque purple color, followed by a sweet, rich, black currant and creme de cassis-scented nose with no evidence of oak. This fruit bomb displays considerable breadth and expansiveness on the palate, in essence revealing only two dimensions - fruit and tannin. It is slightly softer and more precocious than the 1995 and 1996, so perhaps it will only need 10, rather than 15 years of cellaring. This immensely impressive Cabernet is a candidate for 20-30 years of cellaring. (RP)" (12/1997)
