Claude Lapalu bought it in 1964, jointly with Guy Pages, the brother of the owner of Chateau Tour-de-By. 1969 Phélan-Ségur, St-Estèphe
Bid on this 4-bottle lot of 1969 Phélan-Ségur, St-Estèphe . Phélan-Ségur was founded in 1810 by the combination of two great names when Bernard Phélan united his winery with some of the vineyards from the Ségur family's holdings in St-Estèphe. Less estemmed in the 1970's, the estate's old vine vineyards were moribund under the passive administration of the Delon family. Renovated and upgraded under Lanson's Xavier Gardinier, it is now considered "one of Saint Estèphe's best crus bourgeois" by Clive Coates.
