99 points Robert Parker's Wine Advocate: "The 2014 Cabernet Sauvignon Solari, which is again 100% Cabernet Sauvignon, flirts with perfection. It spent 20 months in 80% new French oak and hails from their Cortina Gravel and clay sectors of the vineyard. They made 793 cases of this compelling wine, which offers great freshness and energy, profound depth of flavor, an opaque black/purple color, and oodles of pure crème de cassis and blackberry fruit intermixed with incense, charcoal and white flowers. It’s a stunner to drink now and over the next three deca...

97 points James Suckling: "This red shows lots of redcurrants and fresh flowers on the nose. It’s full-bodied with juicy tannins and a long, flavorful finish. Needs three or four years to resolve some of the tannins. Beautiful Cabernet character, but already a joy to taste." (02/2017) 95 points Vinous: "The 2014 Grand Puy Lacoste is superb. Dark, dense and inviting, the 2014 possesses remarkable depth and richness. Black cherry, plum, smoke, licorice and tobacco all develop in the glass, but it is the overall feel that is most impressive. Silky, polish...

96 points James Suckling: "A red with walnuts, cocoa, currants and spices. Medium-to full-bodied, very intense and linear. Lovely length and beauty. Such finesse. 44% petit verdot (Vine Hill), 44% cabernet franc (To Kolan) and 12% cabernet franc (To Kolan). So right now but will be glorious with bottle age." (05/2017) 95 points Robert Parker's Wine Advocate: "The 2014 Proprietary Red from Oakville is 44% Cabernet Franc, 44% Petit Verdot and 12% Cabernet Sauvignon. This is a fabulous wine and a creative blend from Kenward. With a fabulous nose of forest...

95 points Jeb Dunnuck: "The inky colored 2014 Cabernet Sauvignon Estate is a classic blend of 97% Cabernet Sauvignon, 2% Cabernet Franc and 1% Petit Verdot that spent two years in mostly used barrels. It offers a beautiful, elegant, yet concentrated style in its crème de cassis, licorice, tobacco leaf, graphite and mineral aromatics. Reminding me of the 2002 with its beautiful depth of fruit and ripe, building tannin, it's an age-worthy, balanced wine that's going to evolve for 2+ decades. " (12/2017) 95 points Vinous: "A total knock-out, the 2014 Cabe...

96 points Vinous: "I was deeply impressed with these wines from Domaine de Chevalier. The red has a slight upper hand in 2014, but both wines are distinctive and full of character. Olivier Bernard owns one of the crown jewels of Bordeaux, as these wines clearly make evident. The 2014 Domaine de Chevalier is a total knockout. Precise, brilliant and finely sculpted, the 2014 possesses superb intensity. Freshly cut flowers, mint and sweet red berries, along with finessed but persistent tannins, give the wine its regal personality. The 2014 needs a number of...

2014 Silver Oak Napa Valley Cabernet Sauvignon
Back In Stock!
93 points Decanter: "An opaque color, cassis and bright red fruit nose, this is more structured than the Alexander Valley from the same vintage. It has more mouth-coating density and a longer finish, but right now it’s less layered and complex. Using less new oak is really a plus for this wine as well as the increased amount of Cabernet Franc. (EM)" (09/2019) 92 points Wine Spectator: "Distinctive, with lots of singed sage, sassafras, black tea and bay leaf notes out front, giving this aromatic distinction while the core of gently mulled plum, black c...

94 points Robert Parker's Wine Advocate: "The real knock-out is the 2014 Cabernet Sauvignon from Napa. Although it’s under $100, it’s still not a bargain, but this is a superb example of Napa Cabernet Sauvignon. Inky purple in color, with beautiful blackberry and cassis fruit, a touch of creosote, charcoal and some subtle background oak, the wine hits the palate with authority, serious extract and richness, but enough acidity to frame up its boisterous and exuberant parts. It is a big, rich, concentrated, mouth-filling Cabernet Sauvignon with relatively ...

2014 Latour, Pauillac 3-Pack in OWC (Pre-Arrival) (Pre-Arrival)
Top Pick!
99 points James Suckling: "So much violets, licorice, pencil, flowers and currants define this on the nose before it moves to fresh mushrooms. It’s full-bodied yet compacted with tension and a compressed center palate. Incredible, fine-grained tannins and energy. The length is truly great." (01/2017) 97 points Robert Parker's Wine Advocate: "The 2014 Latour is one of the very finest wines of a vintage that favored the northern Médoc. Mingling aromas of wild berries and cassis with hints of cigar wrapper, loamy soil, black truffles and classy new oak, i...

96 points Robert Parker's Wine Advocate: "The 2014 Cabernet Sauvignon G-III comes from a vineyard that was often the backbone of the great Beaulieu Private Reserves of the 1950s and 1960s. It is now owned by Andy Beckstoffer and is undoubtedly a first growth-quality site. This wine is 100% Cabernet Sauvignon from clones 337 and 7, and offers fabulous intensity. Inky purple, with notes of blackberry, blueberry, violets, charcoal and forest floor, it is deep and full-bodied, but has the vintage’s endearing sweetness, tannin and suppleness. (RP)" (10/2016) ...

This is a bigger wine and close to 2% higher in alcohol at 15.5%. There are 11,000 cases of this big, full-bodied, boisterous Cabernet Sauvignon that has a dense ruby/purple color, notes of underbrush, forest floor, tobacco leaf and oodles of blackcurrants and black cherries, with a touch of woodsmoke. 2014 Beau Vigne "Cult" Napa Valley Cabernet Sauvignon
Back In Stock!
96 points Robert Parker's Wine Advocate: "The 2014 Cabernet Sauvignon Cult (I don’t really understand the name) is built along the same lines as its predecessors, and the blend is not terribly different (97% Cabernet Sauvignon and 3% Cabernet Franc). It is more similar than dissimilar to the Juliet – deep, rich, full-bodied, multi-dimensional, with stunning opulence and fabulous fruit and concentration. (RP) 96+" (12/2016) K&L Notes: Created by French winemaker Julien Fayard, Beau Vigne launched its "Cult" offering in 2008 with the impetus to produce v...

94 points James Suckling: "A linear and fresh red with blackcurrant and blueberry character. Flowers. Full body, silky and polished with a pretty finish. Lively and focused. Pure and bright. Fine tannins. Drink or hold (JS)." (12/2017) 92 points Jeb Dunnuck: "The 2014 Cabernet Sauvignon Dollarhide Estate Vineyard had a small part of the blend fermented in barrels and spent 19 months in 66% new French oak before being bottled. Its deep ruby/purple color is followed by a rich, concentrated, slightly reserved 2014 that has lots of blackcurrant, toasted sp...

95 points Vinous: "The 2014 Léoville Poyferré is gorgeous. Dark, sumptuous and ample on the palate, it possesses remarkable depth. Dark cherry, plum, smoke, scorched earth, licorice and menthol all flesh out as this radiant, deeply expressive wine shows off its considerable pedigree. The 2014 is going to need time to fully come together, but it is super-impressive. (AG)" (02/2017) 94 points Wine Enthusiast: "The wine is concentrated with tannins that come from both the firm fruit and the wood aging. It is packed with blackberry flavors that come throug...

2014 Beau Vigne "Juliet" Napa Valley Cabernet Sauvignon

96 points Robert Parker's Wine Advocate: "The 2014 Cabernet Sauvignon Juliet has 2% Petit Verdot and 2% Cabernet Franc added in and is a slightly larger cuvée of 535 cases, which must make the owners happy, since I liked it even more than the Romeo. This wine, which has an opaque blue/purple color to the edge of the glass, offers notes of pen ink, blueberry, and blackberry liqueur, camphor, charcoal embers, and some graphite and background oak. It is full-bodied and again has that layered, multi-tiered mid-palate and stunningly pure, rich finish with no ...

98 points James Suckling: "This is a one-off bottling of a special plot of old vines. Full body, dense and polished with a beautiful presence and balance. It's tannic wine but polished and textured. More class. Great length. Only four barrels made." (01/2018) 98 points Vinous: "The 2014 Cabernet Sauvignon Golden Hill emerges from a single block on the estate planted with 100% Cabernet Sauvignon. Just as impressive from bottle as it was from barrel, the 2014 possesses remarkable finesse and stunning beauty. The Golden Hill has a level of mid-palate dept...

100 points Sam Kim: "This is a compelling rendition made from 100% cabernet sauvignon sourced from one block within an estate vineyard in the Gimblett Gravels district. The gloriously expressed bouquet shows cassis, blueberry compote, cedar, cigar, violet and black olive characters. The palate is superbly concentrated and weighted, delivering exceptional depth and richness, while remaining perfectly balanced and structured by loads of fine, chalky tannins. The wine is complete and symphonic with staggering energy and drive. At its best: 2022 to 2038. " (...

98 points Jeb Dunnuck: "A blend of 77% Cabernet Sauvignon, 15% Cabernet Franc and the rest Petit Verdot and Malbec, there's 928 cases of the 2014 Cabernet Sauvignon Estate, unquestionably one of the wines of the vintage. Blackcurrants, unsmoked tobacco, graphite, and damp earth all flow from this ethereally textured, seamless, gorgeous wine that has no hard edges, excellent acidity and a great finish. It’s slightly more elegant and polished than the more powerful 2015 and will shine for 20-25 years." (12/2017) 97 points Robert Parker's Wine Advocate: "...

She partnered with winemaker Aaron Pott and began her journey into the wine world in 2009. The 2014 Napa Cabernet comes from estate vineyards on Howell Mountain, which were plan...

Truly superb. " (02/2017) 97 points Vinous: "The 2014 Montrose is without question one of the standout wines of the vintage. Black cherry, plum, smoke, licorice and lavender are some of the many aromas and flavors that open up in the glass. But the 2014 is a much deeper wine than just a bunch of descriptors can conjure. In 2014, Montrose is a wine of exceptional fin...

Bid on this 2-bottle lot of 2014 Quilceda Creek "Galitzine Vineyard" Red Mountain Cabernet Sauvignon (100RP, 95VN). Robert Parker's Wine Advocate: "The finest vintage ever for this cuvée, the utterly spellbinding 2014 Cabernet Sauvignon Galitzine Vineyard is 100% Red Mountain Cabernet Sauvignon that was brought up in new barrels. Slightly deeper and richer than the Columbia Valley Cabernet, its deep ruby/purple color is followed by a smorgasbord of graphite, crushed violets, crushed rocks, cassis and dark chocolate. With incredible richness, ultra-fine tannin, no hard edges and a stacked mid-palate, give this crazy good red 2-3 years of cellaring and enjoy over the following two decades! Bravo to the team at Quilceda! (JD)" (06/2017)

Bid on this 2-bottle lot of 2014 Justin "Reserve" Paso Robles Cabernet Sauvignon (95WE). Wine Enthusiast: "Lush aromas of cinnamon, black and red cherry, vanilla and toasted brioche show on this unabashedly potent and downright delicious bottling by the region's pioneering winery. Soft tannins joyously present rounded red-fruit and vanilla-cake flavors, with rich accents of cherry compote and chocolate chip cookie that are cut by streaks of bitterness and tartness. It's a voluptuous, attention-grabbing wine. (MK)" (09/2017)

Bid on this 2-bottle lot of 2014 Montrose, St-Estèphe (97JS, 97VN, 97WE, 96DC, 95JD, 95WS). Vinous: "The 2014 Montrose is without question one of the standout wines of the vintage. Black cherry, plum, smoke, licorice and lavender are some of the many aromas and flavors that open up in the glass. But the 2014 is a much deeper wine than just a bunch of descriptors can conjure. In 2014, Montrose is a wine of exceptional finesse and polish. The late-ripening vintage allowed for perfect maturation of the tannins and resulted in a silky wine that exudes class and pedigree. The 2014 is not an obvious or bombastic Montrose, but rather a wine of sublime enchantment. Don't miss it! (AG)" (02/2017)

Bid on this bottle of 2014 Realm "The Absurd" Napa Valley Bordeaux Blend (100JD, 100RP, 97JS). Robert Parker's Wine Advocate: "A blend of 83% Cabernet Sauvignon, 9% Merlot, 6% Cabernet Franc and the rest Petit Verdot, is the 2014 The Absurd, basically a choice of their finest barrels, or as winemaker and owner Benoit Touquette says, 'The crème de la crème.' This is another perfect wine equaling their incredible 2013. Yet the 2014 is slightly more forward and showy, as many 2013s are just beginning to shut down. There are 250 cases of this majestic wine that has an opaque purple color, extraordinary nose of spring flowers, blueberry, blackberry, creosote, charcoal, toast and spice. The wine has unbelievable fruit on the attack, midpalate and finish, compelling purity, texture and a finish of close to a full minute. It is (as advertised by the winery) a 'showcase of the best of Napa Valley with the freedom of expression that results from no rules.' (RP)" (12/2016)

Robert Parker's Wine Advocate: "Deep garnet-purple colored, the 2014 Cabernet Sauvignon has a drop-dead gorgeous nose of Sichuan pepper, hoisin, peppered salami and fertile loam over a core of blackberry preserves and redcurrant jelly with touches of kirsch and pencil shavings. Medium to full-bodied and concentrated yet still maintaining that wonderful purity and elegance that is the signature of this estate, it has layer upon layer of earthy nuances and a very long finish. (LPB) 98+" (10/2018)

James Suckling: "Aromas of blackcurrant, mushroom, wet earth and bark follow through to a full body, chewy tannins and a stone, berry, chili and spice aftertaste. Muscular and chunky. Very serious. Almost no new oak. This shows the Mayacamas DNA. " (01/2018)
Starting Bid: $425.00

Bid on this magnum of 2014 Cliff Lede "Beckstoffer To-Kalon Vineyard" Napa Valley Cabernet Sauvignon (1.5L) (99RP, 93JS). Robert Parker's Wine Advocate: "From obviously purchased grapes, the 2014 Cabernet Sauvignon Beckstoffer To Kalon looks like dark pen ink, has that inimitable and compelling aromatic expression that the To Kalon Vineyard seems to offer up – graphite, blueberry, blackberry, cassis, fruitcake and spice. With incredibly rich blue fruits, black fruits, a full body, opulent, voluptuously textured and sensational, the wine still tastes like a barrel sample, but even at that, I found it nearly impossible to spit out. This is a killer effort, a magnificent wine with a potential three-digit score with a few more years of bottle age. (RP)" (12/2016)
Starting Bid: $250.00

Of the 2014 Larkmead "LMV Salon" Napa Valley Bordeaux Blend, Robert Parker's Wine Advocate writes: "Even more prodigious is the 2014 LMV Salon. Composed of 70% Cabernet Sauvignon and 30% Cabernet Franc from the sandy Bale Loam soils of the 110 acres Larkmead possesses, it is a bigger boy at 14.9% alcohol but shows lots of crushed rock and wet gravel minerality, a beautiful, cedary, blackcurrant nose with notes of forest floor, allspice and soy, with more blackberry on the palate as well as some savory herbs and spice. Hints of licorice also make an appearance in this broad, fleshy, juicy and succulent style of wine meant for drinking now and over the next 20 years. (RP)" (10/2016)

Full-bodied, the wine is balanced and seamless, offering precision and focus across the mid-palate with fine-grained tannins that continue to sway with excellence before delivering a long, drawn-out finish that's simply stunning. Bid on this 3-bottle lot of 2014 Louis M. Martini Alexander Valley Cabernet Sauvignon (97RP). Robert Parker's Wine Advocate: "The bigger, richer 2014 Cabernet Sauvignon Alexander Valley is 98% Cabernet Sauvignon and 2% Petite Sirah aged 16 months in 50% new French and American casks. Racy and refined. Persistent. Drink in 2025." (02/2017) 97 points Vinous: "One of the stars of the vintage, the 2014 Haut-Brion is an exceptionally beautiful and vivid wine. Super-ripe dark cherry, plum, tobacco and menthol are some of the notes that run through the 2014. Just as it did from barrel, the 2014 boasts tons of opulence, intensity and richness. Drie...

Bid on this bottle of 2014 Schrader "T6 - Beckstoffer To Kalon" Napa Valley Cabernet Sauvignon (98RP, 95JS, 94WS). Robert Parker's Wine Advocate: "The 2014 Cabernet Sauvignon T6 was one of my super-favorites of the 2014s. Slightly higher in alcohol at 14.7%, compared to the RBS at 14.4% and the GIII at 14.3%, it is a kick-ass Cabernet Sauvignon, with a sexy display of black fruits, licorice, camphor, graphite and background oak. This is from clone 6 of the To Kalon Vineyard aged in 95% new Darnajou and 5% Taransaud barrels. So, as readers can see, the differences are minor, indeed. However, they are slightly different wines. This is a bold, opulent wine and one of my favorites of the 2014s. (RP)" (10/2016)
Starting Bid: $205.00

Bid on this 2-bottle lot of 2014 Kapcsándy "Grand Vin - State Lane Vineyard" Napa Valley Cabernet Sauvignon (99JD, 99JS, 98VN, 96RP). Bid on this magnum of 2014 Quilceda Creek Columbia Valley Cabernet Sauvignon (1.5L) (100RP, 96VN, 94WE, 94WS). Robert Parker's Wine Advocate: "The 2014 Cabernet Sauvignon is another tour de force from this estate that's reminiscent of first growth Bordeaux from a vintage like 2009. Made from 100% Cabernet Sauvignon and aged in new barrels, it offers incredible notes of blackcurrants, graphite, lead pencil shavings and crushed rocks in a full-bodied, decadent, insanely layered and seamless style. This beauty possesses ultra-fine tannin, no hard edges and a forward, already hard to resist style, yet it's going to keep for more than two decades. (JD)" (06/2017)
Starting Bid: $295.00

Bid on this 3-bottle lot of 2014 Vice Versa "Beckstoffer Las Piedras Vineyard" Napa Valley Cabernet Sauvignon (96RP, 95JS). Robert Parker's Wine Advocate: "The 2014 Cabernet Sauvignon Las Piedras Vineyard shows great minerality, wonderful black raspberry and blackcurrant fruit, a sumptuous full-bodied mouthfeel, light tannin, low acidity and a fleshy, long finish. This wine spent 20 months in 100% new French oak, but you would never know it from smelling and tasting this wine. Drink now-2038. (RP)" (10/2016)
Starting Bid: $375.00

Bid on this 2-bottle lot of 2014 Maybach "Materium" Oakville Cabernet Sauvignon (100JD, 100RP). Robert Parker's Wine Advocate: "The flagship, the 2014 Cabernet Sauvignon Materium, represents 560 cases and achieved 14.8% alcohol after aging in 90% new Taransaud and Darnajou casks. Remarkably, the wine matches the perfect 2013, with extraordinary fragrance of blueberry, blackberry, forest floor, truffle, spring flowers and background barbecue smoke followed by a thick, unctuously textured, juicy, but incredibly well-balanced, intense wine. This is built like a skyscraper with enormous quantities of blueberry, blackberry and cassis fruit, well-integrated acidity and sweet, gentle tannins. This is an extraordinary effort from Maybach that can be drunk now or cellared for up to 30 or more years. (RP)" (10/2016)
Starting Bid: $670.00

Bid on this 2-bottle lot of 2014 Philip Togni "Estate" Spring Mountain District Cabernet Sauvignon (98DC, 97VN, 95JD, 94RP, 94WS). Decanter: "The Togni family's 2014 reveals a beautifully complex bouquet of plum, black cherry, clove, sweet tobacco, cocoa nib and hints of mountain laurel. On the palate the tannins are very silky and refined, especially by the standards of this site, framing a wine with great concentration, depth and acid line. A supremely graceful Cabernet and a worthy successor to the profound 2013." (05/2017)
Starting Bid: $200.00

95 points Wine Enthusiast: "Tight tannins mask the ripe fruit in a wine that is set for long-term aging, so there is a dry core that dominates at the moment. But not for long: the bold black fruits are insistent and are going to be delicious. *Cellar Selection* (RV)" (04/2017) 94 points Vinous: "The 2014 Malartic-Lagravière is a gorgeous wine, but it is also flamboyant and exotic, especially in its flavor profile. Super-ripe red cherry and plum make a strong first impression. Sweet floral and spice notes, along with ripe, silky tannins, add to the win...

Bid on this bottle of 2014 Vangone "Estate" Napa Valley Cabernet Sauvignon (95RP, 93JD). Robert Parker's Wine Advocate: "The inaugural vintage 2014 Cabernet Sauvignon comes from 412 clone from two different blocks: B Block and D Block. It was aged for 30 months in 100% new French oak. Deep garnet-purple in color, it has a blackcurrant cordial, blackberry pie and mocha-scented nose with hints of baking spices, underbrush and crushed rocks. The medium to full-bodied palate is beautifully textured by approachable, ripe, fine-grained tannins, with plenty of freshness and persistent earthy layers. (LPB) 95+" (10/2017)

Bid on this 3-bottle lot of 2014 Scarecrow Napa Valley Cabernet Sauvignon (OWC - 100JD, 100RP, 96VN, 95WS) in original wood. Robert Parker's Wine Advocate: "The utterly perfect 2014 Scarecrow Cabernet Sauvignon (1, 500 cases) has everything one could possibly want in a Cabernet. Inky purple-colored to the rim, with a glorious nose of white flowers, crème de cassis, hints of blackberry and boysenberry, some licorice and forest floor are followed by an enormously concentrated wine with fabulous purity, a skyscraper-like mid-palate and texture, a length of nearly a minute, and stunning flavors, with flawless integration of acidity, tannin, wood and alcohol. This is a great, great wine and certainly one of the Cabernet Sauvignons of this vintage. (RP)" (12/2016)

Bid on this 6-bottle lot of 2014 Picque Caillou Rouge, Pessac-Leognan (93WE, 90JD, 90RP). Wine Enthusiast: "The estate is within the urban area of Bordeaux, an oasis of green in the busy city. It is a smooth, rich wine that has benefited from the consultancy work of the late Denis Dubourdieu. Ripe tannins and fine acidity support the black currant and plum fruits. The wine is developing well. (RV)" (02/2017)
