Bid on this 9 liter of 2011 Chappellet/Gandona Dragon Label by Carissa Chappellet Bordeaux Red Blend (9L). Chappellet and Gandona are two wineries that are located on Pritchard Hill, a small hillside part of Napa Valley in the Vaca mountains. They both produce high-quality wines from different appellations in the region, using organic and biodynamic farming practices and low-intervention winemaking techniques. They also share a history of being founded by pioneers of the Pritchard Hill wine scene.Chappellet was the first winery on Pritchard Hill, founded in 1968 by Donn and Molly Chappellet, who were inspired by the wines of Bordeaux. They planted the first vineyards on the steep slopes of the hill, where the rocky and red soils create ideal conditions for growing Cabernet Sauvignon and other Bordeaux varieties.

Bid on this 12 liter of 1983 Diamond Creek "Volcanic Hill" Napa Valley Cabernet Sauvignon (12L). Al and Boots Brounstein founded Diamond Creek Vineyards in 1968. The three vineyards Brounstein planted have produced some of the most long-lived, elegant wines from the state of California, wines that make the case "that Diamond Creek is the finest producer of Cabernet Sauvignon in America, " according to wine writer Pierre DuMont. This bottling comes from the eight-acre Volcanic Hill vineyard, which has ashy volcanic soils deposited by the eruption of Mt. Konocti eight million years ago. The wines from this site are Diamond Creek's longest lived, "loaded with intense ripe berry fruit, cassis, violets and a smoky richness, " according to the winery.
