Bid on this 3-bottle lot of 2002 Vérité "Le Désir" Sonoma County Bordeaux Blend (94DC, 93RP, 93VN). Decanter: "Attractively aromatic, this has ripe dark fruit scents with a touch of smokiness. The sumptuous mouthfeel is energised by exemplary Cabernet Franc freshness, while the liquorice-infused finish is long, elevated by an ethereal airiness. (YC)" (07/2019)
Starting Bid: $390.00

Bid on this bottle of 1994 Lewis Cellars "Reserve" Napa Valley Cabernet Sauvignon. Wine Spectator: "Dark and intense, it serves up a nice tight beam of ripe currant, blackberry and black cherry fruit, with shades of anise, herb and cedary oak. It flexes its tannic muscles on the finish, giving it a drying sensation. (JL)" (11/2004)
Starting Bid: $90.00

Bid on this 2-bottle lot of 2016 Pride Mountain "Reserve" Sonoma-Napa Counties Claret (96JD, 95RP, 92VN, 92WE, 92WS). Jeb Dunnuck: "There are just over 500 cases of the 2016 Reserve Claret, a more Merlot-dominated blend that includes 31% Cabernet Sauvignon and 1% Petit Verdot. It's similarly hued to the Reserve Cabernet and has a terrific perfume of blackcurrants, black cherries, ground herbs, and black tea as well as a whiff of dark chocolate and new saddle leather. This beauty offers a stunning array of full-bodied richness and depth, building yet ripe tannins, notable purity, and a sense of power without heaviness. It is a fabulously complex Bordeaux blend from Napa/Sonoma that will continue drinking beautifully for another 20 years. " (01/2020)
Starting Bid: $225.00

Bid on this 6-bottle lot of 2017 Trefethen Oak Knoll District Pinot Noir. Connoisseurs Guide: "Of the many nested AVAs of Napa Valley, the Oak Knoll District is among the coolest, and its temperate climes have made for a somewhat lighter, medium-bodied Pinot of slightly lower alcohol here that backs away from heady ripeness with slender, red cherry fruit holding its own against a modicum of youthful tannin. It is sufficiently well-balanced to cellar for upwards of a half-dozen years, but it is a wine more of grace than fruity impact and is best reserved for service with those dishes that sit at the lighter end of the Pinot-friendly spectrum. *One Star*" (06/2020)
Starting Bid: $120.00

Bid on this 3-bottle lot of 2001 Niebaum-Coppola "Rubicon" Napa Valley Bordeaux Blend (92WS, 91CG, 91RP, 90WE). Wine Spectator: "Dark, smooth, rich and complex, with a silky texture leading to a core of ripe plum, black cherry, smoky oak and wild berry flavors, finishing with a long, intricate aftertaste. This is a wine that grows on you. (JL)" (11/2004)
Starting Bid: $210.00

Bid on this bottle of 2016 Carter "Beckstoffer Las Piedras Vineyard - La Verdad" Napa Valley Cabernet Sauvignon (100JD, 100RP). Robert Parker's Wine Advocate: "The 2016 Cabernet Sauvignon Beckstoffer Las Piedras Vineyard La Verdad has a very deep purple-black color and reveals slightly subdued, youthful notes of crushed blueberries, warm black cherries and mulberries with hints of blackcurrant cordial, stewed black tea, wilted roses and fragrant soil. Wow—the palate explodes with very primary yet incredibly exciting, densely packed muscular black fruits, framed with a brick house of super ripe tannins and seamless freshness, finishing very long and incredibly cerebral. Yes, yes, yes! (LPB)" (10/2018)
Starting Bid: $275.00

Bid on this 3-bottle lot of 2014 Avennia "Justine" Columbia Valley Rhône Blend (92RP, 92WE, 91VN). Robert Parker's Wine Advocate: "Blackberries, blueberries, violets, peppery herbs and river rock-like characteristics emerge from Chris's 2014 Justine, which is his entry-level Rhône blend. Made from 45% Grenache, 36% Mourvèdre and 19% Syrah, it has a medium to full-bodied texture, notable purity and integrated acidity, all of which is going to keep it drinking nicely through 2022+. This cuvee spent 16 months all in neutral oak, with just a single racking. (JD)" (06/2017)
Starting Bid: $60.00

Bid on this 3-bottle lot of 1997 Dalla Valle Napa Valley Cabernet Sauvignon (93RP). Robert Parker's Wine Advocate: "The 1997 Cabernet Sauvignon (2, 800 cases from a blend of 85% Cabernet Sauvignon and 15% Cabernet Franc) boasts an opaque purple color as well as a gorgeous nose of mineral-infused black currants, and spicy oak. Full-bodied, structured, muscular, and multi-dimensional, it is approachable, but best cellared for 2-4 years, and drunk over the following 20-25 years. (RP)" (12/2000)
Starting Bid: $315.00

Bid on this 3-bottle lot of 2019 Aubert "Eastside Vineyard" Russian River Valley Chardonnay ((98-100VN), (96-98RP), 97WS). Vinous: "The 2019 Chardonnay Eastside Vineyard is deep, powerful and packed. Lemon confit, crushed rocks, menthol, graphite, chamomile and vanillin infuse the 2019 with striking layers of dimension. Bright acids give the sculpted finish tremendous persistence. Montrachet clone on Riparia rootstock in a rocky site yields a Chardonnay of rare distinction and class. (AG)" (01/2021)
Starting Bid: $300.00

Bid on this 6-bottle lot of 2018 Ernest "The Settler - Cleary Ranch Vineyard" Sonoma Coast Pinot Noir (91RP, 91VN). Vinous: "The 2018 Pinot Noir The Settler Cleary Ranch Vineyard comes across as quite closed today. There is good depth, and the stems have integrated, but at the same time, the fruit is not too expressive. It will be interesting to see where this goes. Hints of dried cherry, cedar, tobacco, mint and sage add lovely aromatic intensity to this savory, earthy Pinot. (AG)" (01/2021)
Starting Bid: $180.00

Bid on this bottle of 2010 Hewitt "Double Plus" Rutherford Cabernet Sauvignon (96RP, 96WS). Robert Parker's Wine Advocate: "A spectacular effort, probably the finest wine I have tasted to date from Hewitt Vineyard, the 2010 Cabernet Sauvignon Double Plus is a classic of mid-Napa Valley. It boasts gorgeous notes of creme de cassis, flowers and spice box in a rich, but not over-done style. The wood influence is subtle, not intrusive, and this gorgeous, full-bodied Cabernet Sauvignon performed spectacularly in my tastings. (RP)" (10/2013)
Starting Bid: $150.00

Bid on this magnum of 2018 Realm "Beckstoffer To Kalon Vineyard" Napa Valley Cabernet Sauvignon (1.5L) (98RP, 98WE, 98WS, 97VN). Robert Parker's Wine Advocate: "The 2018 Cabernet Sauvignon Beckstoffer To Kalon Vineyard is 100% Cabernet Sauvignon, coming from five different blocks, and was harvested "in multiple picks, at a leisurely pace." Deep garnet-purple colored, it rolls sensuously out of the glass with decadent scents of boysenberries, black cherries, redcurrant jelly and blackcurrant pastilles with hints of bouquet garni, black soil and iron ore. Full-bodied, the taut, tightly knit black and red fruit has a firm structure of ripe, grainy tannins and bags of freshness, finishing very long with loads of earth and mineral nuances coming through. (LPB) 98+" (10/2020)
Starting Bid: $700.00

Bid on this 2-bottle lot of 2018 Williams Selyem "Lewis MacGregor Estate Vineyard" Russian River Valley Pinot Noir (95CG, 95RP, 91BH). Robert Parker's Wine Advocate: "The 2018 Pinot Noir Lewis MacGregor Estate Vineyard, from Pommard and Swan clone vines planted in 1990, has a medium ruby-purple color and broody scents of spiced cranberry sauce, baked blackberries, prosciutto, bergamot and saline. The palate is medium-bodied with slowly expanding fruits accented by loads of inherent spiciness and a mineral streak. It has a grainy frame and great freshness, finishing very long. Lovely! (EB)" (07/2020)
Starting Bid: $140.00

Bid on this 2-bottle lot of 2015 Crown Point Happy Canyon of Santa Barbara Cabernet Sauvignon (OWC - 97WE, 96JD, 94RP, 93VN) in original wood. Wine Enthusiast: "This winery is focused on setting a new benchmark for what Cabernet Sauvignon from Santa Barbara can be, and this bottling is its best yet. Beautifully layered aromas of black cherry, baking spice, star anise and crushed slate lead into a roasted palate of black plum and chai spices, with acid that carries into the finish. (MK)" (03/2019)
Starting Bid: $180.00

Bid on this 3-bottle lot of 2007 Donelan "Richards Family Vineyard" Sonoma Valley Syrah ((97-100RP), 98JD). Robert Parker's Wine Advocate: "Flirting with perfection, the 2007 Syrah Richard’s Vineyard (100% Syrah and 100% whole clusters aged 31 months in French barrels of which 75% are new) is a staggering effort. This Côte Rôtie-like (it is no surprise that one of proprietor Joe Donelan’s favorite wines is Rene Rostaing’s Cote Rotie Cote Blonde) effort displays remarkable floral/lavender characteristics (these rocky soils were once used for a lavender farm) along with a dense purple color and an awesome bouquet of spring flowers, blueberries, blackberries and white chocolate. It hits the palate with a crescendo of intense, ripe, concentrated black fruits interwoven with barrique, charcoal and burning ember-like flavors. (RP)" (02/2011)
Starting Bid: $210.00

Bid on this 2-bottle lot of 2012 Caymus "40th Anniversary" Napa Valley Cabernet Sauvignon (96RP). Robert Parker's Wine Advocate: "They appear to be immune to some of winedom’s less than intelligent trends and fads that we see from time to time, and the result is a spectacular 2012 Cabernet Sauvignon 40th Anniversary offering. Its dense purple/black color is followed by copious quantities of crème de cassis and blackberry fruit, silky tannins, a voluptuous texture and stunning purity as well as length. This full-bodied effort is a fabulous example of Napa Valley Cabernet Sauvignon as well as a tribute to this amazing family. Amazing! (RP)" (10/2014)
Starting Bid: $300.00

Bid on this 3-bottle lot of 1999 Arietta Napa Valley Merlot (92RP, 92ST, 92WS). Robert Parker's Wine Advocate: "The 1999 Merlot (which includes 10% Syrah) exhibits a Pomerol-like character. It represents a synthesis in style between the elegance and complexity of a French wine, and the power and ripe fruit of a top-flight California offering. An opaque purple color is followed by aromas of cola, chocolate, and macerated jammy black cherries. This super-concentrated, high strung, packed effort appears to be as tight as a coiled spring. There is great fruit on the attack as well as an imposing structure, but it feels like that is all being held in check at present. Despite the big, intense flavors, the wine is elegant and light on its feet. Anticipated maturity: 2005-2020. (RP)" (08/2002)
Starting Bid: $150.00

Bid on this 4-bottle lot of 2016 Chalk Hill "Estate" Russian River Valley Pinot Noir. Chalk Hill farms 60 different vineyard blocks, acquired over the years by founder William P. Foley II. One of the defining producers in the AVA of the same name, Pinot Noir is just one element of their expansive portfolio.
Starting Bid: $80.00

Bid on this bottle of 1991 Philip Togni "Estate" Spring Mountain Cabernet Sauvignon (96RP, 95JG, 92ST, 90VN). Robert Parker's Wine Advocate: "The 1991 Cabernet Sauvignon is another upcoming re-release from the winery’s library. It is one of the most unique wines I have ever tasted from Togni. The warm year yielded an abundant crop. At the time, Togni also made a white wine. Because of the size of the crop, the harvest took longer than normal, which meant the red grapes spent a little longer on the vine than they would have otherwise. The 1991 presents an intriguing combination of raciness from the super-ripe fruit, but within the classic Togni framework. Sweet tobacco, camphor, savory herbs, licorice and worn-in leather are some of the nuances that add complexity to the fruit. . (AG)" (12/2011)
Starting Bid: $250.00

Bid on this 2-bottle lot of 2013 Sean Thackrey "Orion" Napa Valley Red Blend. Sourced form the Rossi Vineyard in St. Helena, Orion is a field blend of Rhone varietals planted in 1905. From the distributor: "Since 1980, Sean has been producing wines that are extraordinary not only for great quality and complexity, but also because Sean utilizes unique wine-making techniques, often drawing from historic, sometimes ancient, wine-making practices from all over the world. The results are consistent, as evidenced by Sean’s continued support and enthusiasm from his peers and devoted customers. Sean sources grapes from many locations throughout California, and makes all his wines by hand 'touching every grape' at his small Bolinas winery. Self-taught, and fully reliant on his intuition and senses, Sean is the antithesis of corporate wine-making. The proof is in the bottle."
Starting Bid: $110.00

Bid on this 4-bottle lot of 2014 Ramey "Annum" Napa Valley Cabernet Sauvignon (95JD, 94RP, 93VN, 92WS). Jeb Dunnuck: "With a Pauillac-like style in its graphite, blackcurrant, lead pencil and tobacco aromatics, the 2014 Cabernet Sauvignon Annum is a full-bodied, concentrated, seamless 2014 that’s very much in the style of the 2014 vintage. Despite the upfront charm, it has plenty of underlying tannin and structure and is going to evolve beautifully for 15-20 years. This cuvée is 75% Cabernet Sauvignon and 25% Cabernet Franc, aged all in new oak." (06/2018)
Starting Bid: $200.00

Bid on this 2-magnum lot of 2017 Belle Pente Estate Reserve Yamhill-Carlton Pinot Noir (1.5L). David Schildknecht of Wine Advocate writes: An (as he puts it) “out of control” hobby winemaker, Brian O’Donnell and his wife Jill began planting their impressively-situated and manifestly impeccably manicured vineyard just east of Carlton (which I visited only briefly and not as part of my meeting with O’Donnel) in 1994, two years after a six month search that almost found them purchasing the Archery Summit home site. A significant share of fruit for Belle Pente wines still comes from other sources, Bella Vida and Murto vineyards being the most conspicuous, the latter subject to single-vineyard bottling since 1996.
Starting Bid: $140.00

Bid on this 4-bottle lot of 2007 Gemstone "Estate" Napa Valley Bordeaux Blend (95RP, 95WS, 92JS, 91ST). Robert Parker's Wine Advocate: "The dense ruby/purple-colored 2007 Gemstone (90% Cabernet Sauvignon, 7% Petit Verdot, and 3% Cabernet Franc) reveals notes of ink, graphite, camphor, and sumptuous amounts of blue and black fruits along with an unmistakable minerality. This is a full-bodied, dense yet elegant red possessing both power and concentration that have not compromised its ethereal characteristics. Drink this beauty over the next 20-25+ years. (RP)" (12/2009)
Starting Bid: $260.00

Bid on this 3-bottle lot of 2003 Colgin "IX Estate" Napa Valley Syrah (98WS, 95RP, 93VN, 92WE). Wine Spectator: "Aromas of crushed berry, succulent wild berry, violets and loads of white pepper character turn to a sweet ripeness, folding together in a seamless presentation. The finish is long and lingering, with hints of beef carpaccio, mocha and espresso, and it just keeps getting better. A magnificent wine that makes a huge statement about Syrah in Napa. *Collectibles* (JL)" (12/2005)
Starting Bid: $375.00

Bid on this magnum of 2018 Carter "The G.T.O. - Beckstoffer To Kalon Vineyard" Napa Valley Cabernet Sauvignon (1.5L) (OWC - 98JD, 98RP) in original wood. Robert Parker's Wine Advocate: "Available in magnums only, the deep garnet-purple colored 2018 Cabernet Sauvignon Beckstoffer To Kalon The GTO needs a little coaxing to reveal slowly unfurling notes of blackcurrant preserves, blackberry pie, fruitcake and molten licorice with suggestions of chocolate-covered cherries, wild sage, cedar chest and fragrant earth. Full-bodied, the palate is seductively generous, featuring bold black fruit preserves and a firm, grainy foundation with an underpinning of soft, beautifully balanced acidity, finishing on a long-lingering exotic spice note. (LPB)" (11/2020)
Starting Bid: $600.00

Bid on this 2-magnum lot of 2016 Belle Pente Estate Reserve Yamhill-Carlton Pinot Noir (1.5L) (95VN, 91WS). Vinous: Limpid ruby-red. Expansive red and blue fruit scents show superb clarity and complementary suggestions of succulent flowers, exotic spices and a hint of smoky minerality that builds with air. Juicy, appealingly sweet and energetic on the palate, offering boysenberry, black raspberry, five-spice powder and candied rose flavors that are supported by a spine of juicy acidity. The floral note carries emphatically through an impressively long finish that features well-integrated tannins and lingering red fruit character. (JR) (08/2020)
Starting Bid: $140.00

Bid on this 4-bottle lot of 2016 Vine Cliff "Propreitress Reserve" Los Carneros Chardonnay.
Starting Bid: $180.00

Bid on this 6-bottle lot of 2017 Wayfarer "Wayfarer Vineyard" Fort Ross-Seaview Chardonnay (97JD, 95RP, 95WE, 94VN, 91WS). Jeb Dunnuck: "The 2017 Chardonnay Wayfarer Vineyard comes from a handful of clones and saw 65% new barrels. It's a riveting Chardonnay that offers notes of caramelized citrus, honeysuckle, toasted brioche, and scorched earth. Rich, medium to full-bodied, with bright acidity, this beautiful, layered, elegant wine builds with time in the glass. Elegance and purity are the buzzwords, but it has depth and length." (06/2019)
Starting Bid: $270.00

Bid on this bottle of 2014 Rivers-Marie "Occidental Ridge Vineyard" Sonoma Coast Pinot Noir (95VN, 92BH, 90RP). Vinous: "The 2014 Pinot Noir Occidental Ridge Vineyard is one of the most powerful, structured wines in this range. Dark red berry, blueberry, spice, menthol and savory herbs flesh out, while incisive tannins and beams of acidity give the Occidental Ridge its characteristic focus and intensity. Hints of violet, lavender and mint reappear on the vibrant, beautifully delineated finish. The Occidental Ridge is going to need time to come around, but it is compelling, even at this early stage. This is a magnificent showing from Rivers-Marie. (AG) 95+" (02/2016)
Starting Bid: $55.00

Bid on this 6-bottle lot of 2017 Ramey "Rochioli Vineyard" Russian River Valley Chardonnay (99WE, 96JD). Wine Enthusiast: "Only the third vintage by this producer from this spectacular site, this elegant wine is brimming in tension and length. Delicate layers of Meyer lemon, Gravenstein apple and pear show an abundance on the palate, seasoned in salty oak, nutmeg and a hint of cardamom. *Editors’ Choice* (VB)" (10/2020)
Starting Bid: $270.00

Bid on this bottle of 2010 Kapcsándy "Roberta's Reserve - State Lane Vineyard" Napa Valley Bordeaux Blend (97RP, 95VN). Robert Parker's Wine Advocate: "Much more luxurious, voluptuous and in-your-face is the 2010 Roberta’s Reserve, which is a typical blend of 95% Merlot and 5% Cabernet Franc with 14.5% alcohol. It boasts a saturated ruby/purple color along with lots of Asian plum sauce, white chocolate, kirsch and a subtle smoky note. With superb richness and a full-bodied mouthfeel, despite its tannic framework it can be drunk in several years or cellared for several decades. (RP)" (10/2013)
Starting Bid: $165.00

Bid on this 3-bottle lot of 2017 Jonata "La Sangre de Jonata" Santa Ynez Valley Syrah (94VN). Vinous: "The 2017 La Sangre de Jonata has really come together over the last year. Today, it is aromatically explosive, rich and hedonistic. Grilled herbs, menthol, plum, black cherry, lavender and sage are some of the many notes that develop in this extravagantly beautiful, expressive wine from Jonata. In 2017, La Sangre is marked by more of a red fruit profile than in the past, along with silkier tannins that will make it easy to drink and enjoy with minimal cellaring. (AG) 94+" (09/2019)
Starting Bid: $195.00

Bid on this 2-bottle lot of 2012 Scarecrow "M. Etain" Napa Valley Cabernet Sauvignon (94RP, 93WS, 92VN). Robert Parker's Wine Advocate: "The 2012 Cabernet Sauvignon M. Etain is in essence a second wine, but it sure doesn’t taste like one. Its deep purple color is followed by pure black raspberry and blackcurrant fruit, dusty, loamy soil notes, extraordinary depth of fruit, ripeness and good acidity. One of the classic wines of Napa Valley, Scarecrow’s Cabernet Sauvignons are made by well-known winemaking consultant Celia Welch. This historic vineyard in Rutherford, which owns some of the oldest vines in all of Napa, continues to turn out some of Napa’s most profound Cabernet Sauvignons. (RP)" (10/2014)
Starting Bid: $320.00

Bid on this 2-bottle lot of 2015 Mayacamas Mt. Veeder Cabernet Sauvignon (97VN, 96WS, 95DC, 94JS). Vinous: "Another stellar wine from Mayacamas, the 2015 Cabernet Sauvignon continues to be quite reticent, which is probably a very good thing for its long-term prospects. Even so, the 2015 is dense, powerful and super-concentrated, with a level of finesse in its tannins that separates it from so many wines in this challenging vintage. Time in the glass brings out graphite, menthol, licorice, sage and spice notes that add a sense of gravitas. I would prefer to cellar the 2015 for at least a few years to allow some of the baby fat to melt away. I expect the 2015 will always remain an exotic, full-throttle wine relative to the norm here. I can't wait to see how it ages. (AG) 97+" (12/2018)
Starting Bid: $250.00

Bid on this 2-bottle lot of 2006 Philip Togni Spring Mountain District Cabernet Sauvignon (95RP, 95VN, 93ST). Vinous: "The 2006 Cabernet Sauvignon Estate is just beginning to show the first signs of aromatic development. Graphite, incense, smoke add nuance to the inky blue and purplish-toned fruits. A wine of extreme vibrancy and freshness, the 2006 has enough energy to drink well for another two decades. This is a distinctly Old World-leaning Cabernet from Togni that still has considerable upside. (AG)" (12/2016)
Starting Bid: $180.00

Bid on this 4-half-bottle lot of 2013 Mt. Brave Mt. Veeder Cabernet Sauvignon (375ml) (95WE, 93RP, 93VN). Wine Enthusiast: The mountain appellation speaks loudly in this wine, contributing juicy blackberry, tar and leather, all within a forested context of wild truffle and crunchy leaves. Concentrated and robust in body and ripeness, it unwinds slowly in the glass, imparting jolts of black pepper as it goes. *Top 100 Wines of 2017* (VB) (02/2017)
Starting Bid: $140.00

Bid on this 3-bottle lot of 2013 Captûre "Revelation" Sonoma County Cabernet Sauvignon (91VN). Vinous: "The 2013 Cabernet Sauvignon Revelation has turned out well, but at the same time, the jump in quality here over the two vintages is marked. Black fruit, mocha, plum, smoke and licorice, along with big, grippy tannins, are among the signatures. (AG)" (03/2017)
Starting Bid: $105.00

Bid on this 2-bottle tasting lot; including 1-bottle of 1941 Casa de Sonoma Sonoma County Cabernet Sauvignon (Bottled 1947) and 1-bottle of 1941 Simi Alexander Valley Claret (375ml). Of the 1941 Casa de Sonoma Sonoma County Cabernet Sauvignon (Bottled 1947), From a wartime production that had been stored and later bottled at the El Galivan winery by August Sebastiani, then proprietor, in 1947. The name Casa de Sonoma refers to the name of Sebastiani's private residence and the wine is said to have been originally intended for personal consumption and rarely marketed. It was stored in an old stable on the Sebastiani property for decades. After August passed away in 1980, the bottles were catalogued, inspected, and re-corked. (Source: Interview with Doug Davis, former Vice President and Executive Winemaster of Sebastiani, as summarized in "A Second Chance - Casa de Sonoma Cabernet Bottled in 1947" by Gregory Dal Piaz, Snooth, 4/3/2009)
Starting Bid: $900.00

Bid on this bottle of 2014 Pax "Griffin's Lair" Sonoma Coast Syrah (93VN). Vinous: "The 2014 Syrah Griffin's Lair Vineyard is another incredibly expressive, deep wine from Pax Mahle. Lavender, menthol, sage, iron, smoke, leather, licorice and intense, inky fruit confer tremendous richness and dimension to a Syrah endowed with tons of complexity and personality. (AG)" (04/2018)
Starting Bid: $50.00

Bid on this 6-bottle lot of 2017 Miner Family "Stagecoach Vineyard" Napa Valley Syrah. Though the 2017 Stagecoach has yet to be professionally reviewed, the 2016 vintage earned a 93pt score from Wine Advocate with the following review: "Containing 4% Merlot, the 2016 Cabernet Sauvignon Stagecoach Vineyard is deep garnet-black in color with pronounced cassis, redcurrants, black cherries, eucalypt, dark chocolate and lavender. The palate is medium-bodied, elegant and vibrant with firm, grainy tannins and an herbal lift on the finish."
Starting Bid: $150.00

Bid on this 5-bottle tasting lot; including 1-bottle of 2004 Williams Selyem "Forchini" Russian River Valley Zinfandel (94ST, 90RP), 2-bottles of 2005 Williams Selyem "Forchini" Russian River Valley Zinfandel (92WE, 91ST), 1-bottle of 2008 Williams Selyem "Forchini" Russian River Valley Zinfandel (92RP, 92ST), and 1-bottle of 2009 Williams Selyem "Forchini - North Flats" Russian River Zinfandel (92WS, 91RP, 91ST, 91VN, 90W&S). Of the 2004 Williams Selyem "Forchini" Russian River Valley Zinfandel, Stephen Tanzer's International Wine Cellar writes: "Deep ruby. Crushed black fruits, minerals and exotic citrus zest on the nose. Sweeter and more pliant than the Bacigalupi, with riper acids. But this has terrific density and superb fruit, and finishes with a powerful tannic spine. The crop level here was just a ton an acre, says Cabral. " (06/2006)

Bid on this bottle of 2008 Saxum "James Berry Vineyard" Paso Robles Rhône Blend (98JD, 98RP, 97WS). Robert Parker's Wine Advocate: "The 2008 James Berry Vineyard (52% Grenache, 31% Mourvèdre, and 17% Syrah) saw some of its Grenache aged in the concrete eggs that are now catching on among some of the top producers on California’s Central Coast. With strong minerality from the limestone soil, this exuberant, fleshy, full-bodied wine is already drinking well. (I believe it was actually bottled just a day or two before my visit, which makes its performance that much more remarkable.) Dense purple, with sweet notes of barbecue smoke and meats as well as roasted herbs, extravagant black cherry, black currant, and blackberry fruit are all present in this wine, but there is plenty of underlying structure that comes from both the minerality and the Mourvedre component. (RP)" (08/2010)
Starting Bid: $120.00

Bid on this 2-bottle lot of 1990 Robert Mondavi "Reserve" Napa Valley Cabernet Sauvignon (94RP, 92WS, 90VN). Robert Parker's Wine Advocate: "This wine is just beginning to drink spectacularly well. The rustic, big, thick 1990 is Californian in its orientation. It is loaded with flavor, but the tannin is coarser when compared to the seamlessness of the 1991's. (RP)" (08/2002)
Starting Bid: $220.00

Bid on this 5-bottle lot of 2016 Ramey "Rochioli Vineyard" Russian River Valley Chardonnay (98WE, 95JD, 94RP, 94VN, 94WS). Wine Enthusiast: "The second vintage of this vineyard-designate is a standout: beautifully crafted to reflect its meticulously farmed fruit and master winemaking. Brioche, honeyed apple, anise and pear wrap around crisp acidity and integrated oak, the wine's innate power balanced within an elegant framework of structure and graceful texture. (VB)" (10/2019)
Starting Bid: $250.00

Bid on this 9-bottle lot of 2014 Miner Family "The Iliad" Napa Valley White Rhone Blend.
Starting Bid: $135.00

Bid on this 2-bottle lot of 1982 La Jota Napa Valley Cabernet Sauvignon. La Jota Vineyard Co. was founded in 1898 by Frederick Hess, an immigrant from Switzerland, who established a German-language newspaper in San Francisco. No doubt influenced by other European immigrants involved in California's wine industry, Hess purchased 327 acres on Howell Mountain to plant vineyards.
Starting Bid: $120.00

Bid on this 2-bottle lot of 2005 Colgin "IX Estate" Napa Valley Bordeaux Blend (98RP, 97WE, 95ST, 95VN, 94JS, 94WS). Robert Parker's Wine Advocate: "Lastly, the 2005 Proprietary Red IX Estate, from one of the most strikingly beautiful vineyards in all of Napa, high on Pritchard Hill overlooking Lake Hennessey, is a blend of 64% Cabernet Sauvignon, 21% Merlot and the balance Cabernet Franc and Petit Verdot. Inky purple with a provocative and profound bouquet of graphite, white flowers, cassis and blackberry as well as hints of coffee and chocolate, this full-bodied classic has perfect balance, undeniable purity and a long finish. (RP) 98+" (06/2015)

Bid on this bottle of 2018 Realm "Beckstoffer To Kalon Vineyard" Napa Valley Cabernet Sauvignon (98JD, 98JS, 98RP, 97VN). Robert Parker's Wine Advocate: "Deep garnet-purple colored, it rolls sensuously out of the glass with decadent scents of boysenberries, black cherries, redcurrant jelly and blackcurrant pastilles with hints of bouquet garni, black soil and iron ore. Full-bodied, the taut, tightly knit black and red fruit has a firm structure of ripe, grainy tannins and bags of freshness, finishing very long with loads of earth and mineral nuances coming through. (LPB) 98+" (10/2020)
Starting Bid: $350.00

Bid on this bottle of 2006 Saxum "Bone Rock - James Berry Vineyard" Paso Robles Syrah (96RP, 95ST, 94WE, 92WS). Robert Parker's Wine Advocate: "No wimpy wine, the 2006 Bone Rock James Berry Vineyard (76% Syrah, 18% Mourvedre, and 6% Grenache) has over 16% alcohol. It possesses phenomenal texture, stunning purity, and remarkable freshness, which, again, is attributable to the limestone soils as well as the proprietor’s brilliant hands-off winemaking philosophy. A complex perfume of roasted meats, black fruits, spring flowers, charcoal, and spice is followed by a wine of enormous richness (yet it is neither overweight nor heavy). Beautiful freshness permeates the wine’s black fruit flavors and full-bodied power and length. The finish lasts for nearly a minute. (RP) 96+" (08/2009)
Starting Bid: $95.00

Bid on this magnum of 1987 Pahlmeyer "Caldwell Vineyard" Napa Valley Bordeaux Blend (1.5L). Vinous: "Good bright ruby. Superripe aromas of redcurrant, bitter cherry, tobacco, roasted nuts and dried herbs. Juicy, tightly wound and minerally, with a faint medicinal quality. Intensely flavored and still fresh but ungiving; it hard to imagine this wine becoming more pliant with additional bottle aging. Finishes with slightly dry-edged tannins. (ST)" (09/2002)
Starting Bid: $110.00
