Bid on this 5-bottle lot of 2006 Shirvington Shiraz McLaren Vale South Australia (95RP, 91JS). Robert Parker's Wine Advocate: "The 2006 Shiraz was barrel-fermented and aged for 14 months in 85% new oak, with the barrels 90% American and 10% French. Saturated purple in color, it reveals a splendid bouquet of smoke, pencil lead, bacon, grilled meat, and blueberry. Supple-textured and opulent, this full-bodied Shiraz offers a range of spicy, complex flavors, superb balance, and enough well-concealed tannin to support 5-7 years of additional cellaring. This hedonistic Shiraz should drink well through 2026. Shirvington’s proprietors are Paul and Lynn Shirvington and the winemaker is Kim Jackson. Two wines, a Cabernet and a Shiraz, are produced annually from estate vineyards that are now 20 years of age. (JM)" (10/2007)
Starting Bid: $175.00

Bid on this bottle of 2002 Greenock Creek "Alices" Barossa Shiraz (96RP). Robert Parker's Wine Advocate: "Flamboyant as well as focused, with laser-like precision, the 2002 Shiraz Alice’s was produced from 7-year-old vines. Dense, with remarkable intensity and wonderful freshness, it is a cool climate Barossa Shiraz with good acidity, enormous concentration, and a backward style that promises to be ethereal with 4-5 more years of bottle age. It should last for two decades or more." (10/2005)
Starting Bid: $40.00
