Bid on this 2-bottle lot of 2014 Domaine Louis Jadot Gevrey-Chambertin 1er Cru "Clos St-Jacques" (95JS, 94WE, 93RP, 93VN, 93WS, 91BH). James Suckling: "So floral, like a bouquet of flowers. Fills the glass. Full-bodied, yet beautifully balanced and subtle. Such purity of fruit and polish. I can't wait on this. Drink or hold. Will age beautifully." (04/2017)

Bid on this 6-bottle lot of 2017 Trefethen Oak Knoll District Pinot Noir. Connoisseurs Guide: "Of the many nested AVAs of Napa Valley, the Oak Knoll District is among the coolest, and its temperate climes have made for a somewhat lighter, medium-bodied Pinot of slightly lower alcohol here that backs away from heady ripeness with slender, red cherry fruit holding its own against a modicum of youthful tannin. It is sufficiently well-balanced to cellar for upwards of a half-dozen years, but it is a wine more of grace than fruity impact and is best reserved for service with those dishes that sit at the lighter end of the Pinot-friendly spectrum. *One Star*" (06/2020)
Starting Bid: $120.00

Bid on this 6-bottle lot of 2018 Ernest "The Settler - Cleary Ranch Vineyard" Sonoma Coast Pinot Noir (91RP, 91VN). Vinous: "The 2018 Pinot Noir The Settler Cleary Ranch Vineyard comes across as quite closed today. There is good depth, and the stems have integrated, but at the same time, the fruit is not too expressive. It will be interesting to see where this goes. Hints of dried cherry, cedar, tobacco, mint and sage add lovely aromatic intensity to this savory, earthy Pinot. (AG)" (01/2021)
Starting Bid: $180.00

Bid on this 2-bottle lot of 2018 Williams Selyem "Lewis MacGregor Estate Vineyard" Russian River Valley Pinot Noir (95CG, 95RP, 91BH). Robert Parker's Wine Advocate: "The 2018 Pinot Noir Lewis MacGregor Estate Vineyard, from Pommard and Swan clone vines planted in 1990, has a medium ruby-purple color and broody scents of spiced cranberry sauce, baked blackberries, prosciutto, bergamot and saline. The palate is medium-bodied with slowly expanding fruits accented by loads of inherent spiciness and a mineral streak. It has a grainy frame and great freshness, finishing very long. Lovely! (EB)" (07/2020)
Starting Bid: $140.00

Bid on this bottle of 1983 Domaine Ponsot Clos de la Roche Grand Cru (91VN). Vinous: "Ponsot’s 1983 Clos de la Roche offered more advanced suggestions of coffee beans and spices with gorgeous depth to its fruit and a somewhat rustic, yet pleasing, personality. (AG)" (08/2007)
Starting Bid: $1,000.00

Bid on this 4-bottle lot of 2016 Chalk Hill "Estate" Russian River Valley Pinot Noir. Chalk Hill farms 60 different vineyard blocks, acquired over the years by founder William P. Foley II. One of the defining producers in the AVA of the same name, Pinot Noir is just one element of their expansive portfolio.
Starting Bid: $80.00

Bid on this 2-magnum lot of 2017 Belle Pente Estate Reserve Yamhill-Carlton Pinot Noir (1.5L). David Schildknecht of Wine Advocate writes: An (as he puts it) “out of control” hobby winemaker, Brian O’Donnell and his wife Jill began planting their impressively-situated and manifestly impeccably manicured vineyard just east of Carlton (which I visited only briefly and not as part of my meeting with O’Donnel) in 1994, two years after a six month search that almost found them purchasing the Archery Summit home site. A significant share of fruit for Belle Pente wines still comes from other sources, Bella Vida and Murto vineyards being the most conspicuous, the latter subject to single-vineyard bottling since 1996.
Starting Bid: $140.00

Bid on this 2-magnum lot of 2016 Belle Pente Estate Reserve Yamhill-Carlton Pinot Noir (1.5L) (95VN, 91WS). Vinous: Limpid ruby-red. Expansive red and blue fruit scents show superb clarity and complementary suggestions of succulent flowers, exotic spices and a hint of smoky minerality that builds with air. Juicy, appealingly sweet and energetic on the palate, offering boysenberry, black raspberry, five-spice powder and candied rose flavors that are supported by a spine of juicy acidity. The floral note carries emphatically through an impressively long finish that features well-integrated tannins and lingering red fruit character. (JR) (08/2020)
Starting Bid: $140.00

Bid on this bottle of 2014 Rivers-Marie "Occidental Ridge Vineyard" Sonoma Coast Pinot Noir (95VN, 92BH, 90RP). Vinous: "The 2014 Pinot Noir Occidental Ridge Vineyard is one of the most powerful, structured wines in this range. Dark red berry, blueberry, spice, menthol and savory herbs flesh out, while incisive tannins and beams of acidity give the Occidental Ridge its characteristic focus and intensity. Hints of violet, lavender and mint reappear on the vibrant, beautifully delineated finish. The Occidental Ridge is going to need time to come around, but it is compelling, even at this early stage. This is a magnificent showing from Rivers-Marie. (AG) 95+" (02/2016)
Starting Bid: $55.00

Bid on this 4-bottle lot of 2015 Domaine Bourgogne-Devaux Pommard "Les Vignots".
Starting Bid: $80.00

Bid on this 3-bottle lot of 2016 Domaine Moillard Nuits-St-Georges "Les Argillats". The negociant, Thomas Moillard, also has some estate vineyards. Some of these are known as Domaine Charles Thomas in France, but all are labeled as Domaine Moillard here in the U.S. In any case, they are head and shoulders above their negociant wines, and have really come up in quality in the last few years. Many of their properties were sold, and are now being made by others, but their best domaine wines are very fine, and well worth your attention. (Keith Wollenberg, former K&L Burgundy buyer, 07/06)
Starting Bid: $105.00

Bid on this 2-bottle lot of 2002 Vincent Mongeard Grands-Echézeaux Grand Cru (92WS, (89-91BH)). Wine Spectator: "Very ripe, with sweet cherry, spicy oak and earth notes matched to a rich, full-bodied frame. Good concentration here, with pure, sweet Pinot Noir fruit, finesse and a firmly tannic finish. Give it time to come together. Long aftertaste of sandalwood and violet. (BS)" (09/2004)
Starting Bid: $340.00

Bid on this 2-bottle lot of 2007 Domaine Henri Gouges Nuits-St-Georges 1er Cru "Les Vaucrains" (93JG, (90-92ST), 91BH, 91WS). John Gilman: "Not surprisingly, the 2007 Domaine Gouges Vaucrains is one of the more structured examples of the vintage, but it shows all of the inherent purity of this year in the Côte d’Or and is going to be an excellent wine with a bit more bottle age. The bouquet offers up a fine constellation of red and black cherries, nutskin, venison, coffee, fresh herb tones, forest floor, a nice touch of botanicals and a topnote of charred wood. On the palate the wine is pure, full- bodied, complex and really rock solid at the core for an ’07, with moderate tannins, fine acids and lovely focus and balance on the long and classy finish. This is getting close to blossoming and should cruise along very well indeed for at least a quarter of a century after reaching its plateau of maturity. 93+ " (03/2015)
Starting Bid: $160.00

Bid on this bottle of 2001 Domaine Philippe Charlopin-Parizot Charmes-Chambertin Grand Cru ((89-92BH)). Allen Meadows - Burghound: "Pretty and elegant with outstanding finesse and purity of pinot fruit followed by detailed, rich, fleshy, nicely complex and full-bodied flavors and excellent length. I very much like the style of this." (01/2003)
Starting Bid: $135.00

Bid on this 3-bottle lot of 2013 Domaine Thierry et Pascale Matrot Blagny Rouge 1er Cru "La Pièce Sous Le Bois". Allen Meadows - Burghound: "A subtle application of wood serves as an unobtrusive backdrop for the mix of upper and lower register aromas of both red and dark cherry, raspberry, earth and soft floral nuances. There is solid volume and plenty of punch to the lightly mineral-inflected medium-bodied flavors that possess a clean, cool and restrained mouth feel, all wrapped in a saline, balanced and lingering finish. " (04/2015)
Starting Bid: $120.00

Bid on this 2-bottle lot of 2009 Domaine Anne Gros Clos Vougeot Grand Cru "Le Grand Maupertuis" (94ST, 93BH). Stephen Tanzer's International Wine Cellar: "High-pitched, highly perfumed nose offers scents of raspberry, maraschino cherry, spices and rose petal. Densely packed, juicy and youthfully imploded, with rare verve for this very ripe year. A real spice bomb in the mouth. The explosive finish offers outstanding aromatic persistence. Plenty in reserve here for aging; in fact, I wouldn't go near this wine for at least another five or six years. Quite fine. (ST) 94+" (03/2012)
Starting Bid: $360.00

Bid on this bottle of 2017 Hospices de Beaune (Coche-Dury) Volnay 1er Cru "Santenots - Cuvée Gauvin" (93JG). John Gilman: "I am not sure if Raphaël Coche is likely to buy this cuvée on a regular basis in the future, but I am very happy he purchased a lot of the 2017, as this is going to be an excellent wine. It is a bit more new oaky, and the wood is a bit more toasted than is the case with the domaine’s own red wines, but it has excellent depth and complexity on both the nose and palate. The bouquet wafts from the glass in a blend of sweet blackberries, black cherries, bitter chocolate, pigeon, dark soil tones and smoky new oak. On the palate the wine is deep, full-bodied, focused and shows fine purity to its soil signature, with a lovely core, fine focus and grip and a long, ripely tannic and very nicely balanced finish. Fine juice." (12/2019)
Starting Bid: $450.00

Bid on this 2-bottle lot of 2014 Hanzell "Estate" Sonoma Valley Pinot Noir (92BH, 92WE, 91W&S). Wine Enthusiast: "Pungent layers of earthiness, a mix of black tea, compost, clove and forest pine, are at the forefront of this structured, densely packed red. The fruit in this wine shows a lean tart slice of wild strawberry and cranberry. The body is structured and elegant, with plenty of complexity for aging. *Cellar Selection* (VB)" (07/2018)
Starting Bid: $90.00

Bid on this 3-bottle lot of 2016 Siduri "Parsons' Vineyard" Russian River Valley Pinot Noir.
Starting Bid: $90.00

Bid on this 2-bottle lot of 2001 Domaine Saint-Martin Bonnes Mares Grand Cru .
Starting Bid: $200.00

Bid on this 3-bottle lot of 2014 Domaine Aurélien Verdet Nuits-St-Georges 1er Cru "Aux Boudots" (94WS). Wine Spectator: "This is fluid, with black cherry and violet flavors shaded by spice and mineral details. Shows depth and structure, though this firms up on the finish. Dusty tannins coat the gums. (BS)" (05/2017)
Starting Bid: $135.00

Bid on this 3-magnum lot of 2010 Domaine Joseph Voillot Pommard 1er Cru Les Pèzerolles (1.5L) (92BH). Allen Meadows - Burghound: Moderate wood influence sets off a ripe combination of plum, violet and spice aromas that introduce mineral-inflected, pure and gorgeously intense medium weight flavors that possess plenty of that beguiling underlying tension that imparts a sense of verve to the delicious, mouth coating and admirably well-balanced finale. A classic Pézerolles. *Sweet Spot, Outstanding* (04/2012)
Starting Bid: $330.00

Bid on this 3-bottle lot of 2016 Domaine Robert Groffier Gevrey-Chambertin "Seuvrées". In conversation with Neal Martin, current Robert Groffier winemaker, Nicolas Groffier, shared the following: "I work with sincerity. I do the best I can for the Passetoutgrain as much as the Bonnes-Mares. The Pinot Noir is the vertical column of a wine, " he remarked. "It is important to have wines that age well and they must travel well too since they are sold all over the world."
Starting Bid: $225.00

Bid on this 3-bottle tasting lot; including 2-bottles of 2016 Rhys "Alpine Vineyard" Santa Cruz Mountains Pinot Noir (96JD, 95JG, 95RP, 95VN) and 1-bottle of 2017 Rhys "Alpine Vineyard" Santa Cruz Mountains Pinot Noir (94JD, 94JG, 93BH, 92RP, 92VN). Of the 2016 Rhys "Alpine Vineyard" Santa Cruz Mountains Pinot Noir, Jeb Dunnuck writes: "The 2016 Pinot Noir Alpine Vineyard is another head-turner and offers complex red fruits, white flowers, pepper, and floral notes as well as incredible balance and purity on the palate. About as seamless as they come, it’s medium to full-bodied, has a layered texture, and a great finish. As with most of these 2016s, it has some accessibility today, yet it’s going to age gracefully on its balance and overall harmony." (02/2019)

Bid on this 6-bottle lot of 2013 Panther Creek "Kalita Vineyard" Yamhill Carlton Pinot Noir.
Starting Bid: $180.00

Bid on this 2-bottle lot of 2013 Kosta Browne "Giusti Ranch" Russian River Valley Pinot Noir (95RP, 94VN, 92WS). Robert Parker's Wine Advocate: "From the Russian River Valley and the newest single vineyard from this team (the first vintage was 2012), the 2013 Pinot Noir Giusti Vineyard is another big, rich, full-flavored Pinot Noir that gives up slightly lifted notes of dark fruits, graphite and peppery spice. Almost completely destemmed and aged 16 months in 40% new French oak, it’s a sensational Pinot Noir with terrific purity in its concentrated, layered and textured personality. It's superb today, but will cruise through at least 2023. (JD)" (10/2015)
Starting Bid: $140.00

Bid on this 3-bottle lot of 2014 Domaine Aurélien Verdet Nuits-St-Georges 1er Cru "Les Damodes" (94WS). Wine Spectator: "Black cherry and black currant fruit holds court here, along with earth and spice notes. Tightly packed and intense, with a keen sense of balance and a long, fruit-stained finish. Best from 2022 through 2042. (BS)" (05/2017)
Starting Bid: $135.00

Bid on this bottle of 2003 Domaine Rossignol-Trapet Chapelle-Chambertin Grand Cru (91BH). Allen Meadows - Burghound: "Only a touch of wood frames the ripe but elegant cherry and raspberry fruit aromas that lead to opulent, fresh and very rich flavors offer good length and fine balance. There is a sappy sweetness and more than admirable density here and this is most seductive as well as impressive. (AM)" (01/2006)
Starting Bid: $125.00

Bid on this 6-bottle tasting lot; including 3-bottles of 2007 DuMol "Finn" Russian River Valley Pinot Noir (95RP, 94CG, 94ST, 93WS) and 3-bottles of 2008 DuMol "Finn" Russian River Valley Pinot Noir (94CG, 93ST, 91RP). Of the 2007 DuMol "Finn" Russian River Valley Pinot Noir, Robert Parker's Wine Advocate writes: "My highest score goes to the 2007 Pinot Noir Finn, which comes from the Occidental, Widdoes, and Sonoma State vineyards. A brilliant, juicy, succulent effort, it boasts a terrific full-bodied texture, layers of black cherry, raspberry, and cola aromas and flavors, a dark ruby/purple color, and a backward yet irresistible style. This big, rich Pinot Noir is capable of lasting 15-20 years. (RP)" (02/2010)
Starting Bid: $340.00

Bid on this 6-bottle lot of 2016 Mail Road Wines Sta. Rita Hills Pinot Noir. Jeb Dunnuck writes: "Focusing exclusively on the Mt Carmel Vineyard located in the Sta. Rita Hills AVA, the wines from Mail Road Wines are made by winemaker Matt Dees. As with all of Matt's wines, they lean towards the more structured, fresh and lively end of the spectrum and will benefit from short term cellaring."
Starting Bid: $180.00

Bid on this 3-bottle lot of 2015 Beaux Frères "Beaux Frères Vineyard" Willamette Valley Pinot Noir (96JS, 95VN, 95WS). James Suckling: "Lovely cranberry fruit here along with blood oranges, lavender, some earth, cherry blossom, redcurrants, fresh herbs and spices. Medium-bodied but with vibrant acidity and fruit that just takes off. Such minerality yet plenty of depth and fine tannins. So elegant and pinpointed." (12/2017)
