Bid on this 6-half-bottle lot of 1995 Taylor Quinta de Vargellas Vintage Port (375ml).
Starting Bid: $150.00

Bid on this 4-bottle tasting lot; including 3-bottles of 1989 d'Yquem, Sauternes (375ml) (100DC, 98VN, 97RP, 97ST, 97WS) and 1-bottle of 1989 d'Yquem, Sauternes (375ml) (100DC, 98VN, 97RP, 97ST, 97WS). Of the 1989 d'Yquem, Sauternes (375ml), Decanter writes: "This took home the audience award at the 67 Pall Mall tasting that I was hosting, with good reason. What a brilliant example of why Sauternes should be left to gather nuance and to shed its more exuberant, fattier early years before opening. This is just a masterclass in the layers and complexity that you find in fully mature Yquem; saffron, truffle, pineapple, quince, lime, apricots and lemon. Hugely persistent with a squeeze of scraping slate acidity through the final few minutes that gives a dry but mouthwatering finish. It is clearly in its tertiary phase in terms of the type of aromatics, and the beautiful amber, rose-gold colour, but there is no sense that it is beginning to run out of steam. (JA)" (01/2021)
Starting Bid: $820.00

Bid on this 4-half-bottle lot of 2014 Mastrojanni Brunello di Montalcino (375ml).
Starting Bid: $100.00

Bid on this 4-half-bottle lot of 2013 Mt. Brave Mt. Veeder Cabernet Sauvignon (375ml) (95WE, 93RP, 93VN). Wine Enthusiast: The mountain appellation speaks loudly in this wine, contributing juicy blackberry, tar and leather, all within a forested context of wild truffle and crunchy leaves. Concentrated and robust in body and ripeness, it unwinds slowly in the glass, imparting jolts of black pepper as it goes. *Top 100 Wines of 2017* (VB) (02/2017)
Starting Bid: $140.00

Bid on this 2-bottle tasting lot; including 1-bottle of 1941 Casa de Sonoma Sonoma County Cabernet Sauvignon (Bottled 1947) and 1-bottle of 1941 Simi Alexander Valley Claret (375ml). Of the 1941 Casa de Sonoma Sonoma County Cabernet Sauvignon (Bottled 1947), From a wartime production that had been stored and later bottled at the El Galivan winery by August Sebastiani, then proprietor, in 1947. The name Casa de Sonoma refers to the name of Sebastiani's private residence and the wine is said to have been originally intended for personal consumption and rarely marketed. It was stored in an old stable on the Sebastiani property for decades. After August passed away in 1980, the bottles were catalogued, inspected, and re-corked. (Source: Interview with Doug Davis, former Vice President and Executive Winemaster of Sebastiani, as summarized in "A Second Chance - Casa de Sonoma Cabernet Bottled in 1947" by Gregory Dal Piaz, Snooth, 4/3/2009)
Starting Bid: $900.00

Bid on this 4-half-bottle lot of 2015 Joh. Jos. Prüm Wehlener Sonnenuhr Riesling Auslese Mosel (375ml). Jancis Robinson: Pale straw. Very rich and racy with some nuttiness underneath and massive passion fruit acidity. Masses of extract and already quite a bit of sweetness is evident. This should evolve into something very special. 18.5/20 points (JR) (06/2016)
Starting Bid: $100.00
