Bid on this 2-bottle lot of 2009 Canon-La-Gaffelière, St-Emilion (96JS, 96WS, 95RP, 95WE, 93VN, 92DC, 92ST). James Suckling: "The freshness on the nose is striking and you could easily mistake this for a 4-5 year old wine. Ripe elderberry and wild blackberry notes are married to elegant tannins and a lively acidity, making this leap and bound across the palate. Long mineral finish." (02/2019)

Bid on this 3-bottle lot of 2009 M. Chapoutier "La Sizeranne" Hermitage (94WS, 90RP, 90ST). Wine Spectator: "A very rich, authoritative style, with broad structure and lots of cocoa and dark fig paste notes leading the way for ample charcoal, roasted alder, espresso and steeped black currant fruit. Rich and long, this has the depth for cellaring. (JM)" (09/2012)
Starting Bid: $195.00

Bid on this magnum of 2009 Léoville-Barton, St-Julien (1.5L) (98WE, 96JS, 95WS, 93RP, 93ST). Wine Enthusiast: "A major success of the vintage. The wine exhibits extreme richness of the fruit, with all its sweet blackberry flavors. It also has underlying firm structure, density and solid tannins. Bring in the acidity at the end, and this is both impressive and ready for long-term aging. *#3 on Wine Enthusiast's Top 100 Cellar Selections of 2012* " (02/2012)

Bid on this 2-bottle tasting lot; including 1-bottle of 2009 Saxum "Broken Stones" Paso Robles Red Blend (97JD, 96RP, 95WS, 94ST) and 1-bottle of 2009 Saxum "James Berry Vineyard" Paso Robles Rhône Blend (98RP, 97JS, 97WS, 96VN, 94JD). Of the 2009 Saxum "James Berry Vineyard" Paso Robles Rhône Blend, Robert Parker's Wine Advocate writes: "Simply put, the 2009 James Berry Vineyard is one of the greatest young wines I have ever tasted from California, or anywhere for that matter. Bright, floral aromatics lead to expressive red fruit in this impossibly elegant, dazzling wine. A melange of rose petals, mint and licorice follows as the James Berry shows off its breathtaking clarity and finesse. Fine-grained, chalky tannins frame the exceptional finish. Frankly, I am surprised this is the first wine of the tasting. Where does one go from here? (AG)" (08/2011)

Bid on this bottle of 2009 Ovid "Hexameter" Napa Valley Bordeaux Blend (97RP). Robert Parker's Wine Advocate: "The Cabernet Franc-dominated 2009 Hexameter boasts stunning textural depth and richness, but amazingly, no sense of heaviness at all. Mocha, espresso, violets, sage, orange rind and plums are woven together in this utterly impeccable, refined wine. With time in the glass, the more floral and savory herb-infused notes become more prominent. Initially created as a way to use the Cabernet Franc left over from the Ovid blend, it is conceivable to see the Hexameter becoming one of the great wines in Napa Valley, and I don’t use those words lightly. Texturally dazzling, there is little doubt the 2009 is world-class all the way. (AG)" (12/2012)
Starting Bid: $180.00

Bid on this 2-bottle lot of 2009 Domaine Anne Gros Clos Vougeot Grand Cru "Le Grand Maupertuis" (94ST, 93BH). Stephen Tanzer's International Wine Cellar: "High-pitched, highly perfumed nose offers scents of raspberry, maraschino cherry, spices and rose petal. Densely packed, juicy and youthfully imploded, with rare verve for this very ripe year. A real spice bomb in the mouth. The explosive finish offers outstanding aromatic persistence. Plenty in reserve here for aging; in fact, I wouldn't go near this wine for at least another five or six years. Quite fine. (ST) 94+" (03/2012)
Starting Bid: $360.00

Bid on this 3-bottle lot of 2009 Clinet, Pomerol (100RP, 96DC, 96JS, 95VN, 94WS, 93ST). Robert Parker's Wine Advocate: "Clinet has been on a hot streak lately and the 2009 appears to be the greatest wine ever made at the estate, surpassing even the late Jean-Michel Arcaute's monumental 1989. A blend of 85% Merlot and tiny amounts of Cabernet Franc (12%) and Cabernet Sauvignon (3%), this big Pomerol boasts an opaque, moonless night inky/blue/purple color in addition to a gorgeous perfume of blueberry pie, incense, truffles, black raspberries, licorice and wood smoke. Viscous and multi-dimensional with silky, sweet tannin, massive fruit concentration and full-bodied power, there are nearly 4, 000 cases of this thick, juicy, perfect Clinet. (RP)" (02/2012)

Bid on this 2-bottle lot of 2009 Spottswoode "Family Estate" Napa Valley Cabernet Sauvignon (100RP, 96WS, 94VN). Robert Parker's Wine Advocate: "The deep garnet colored 2009 Cabernet Sauvignon contains 4% Cabernet Franc and 1% Petit Verdot. It slips sensuously out of the glass with the most beautiful notions of warm cassis, redcurrant jelly, chocolate-covered cherries and cigar box plus wafts of incense, cinnamon stick, cardamom, dried lavender and star anise. Medium to full-bodied, the palate has exquisitely ripe, finely grained tannins and fantastic freshness lifting all those vibrant fruit and earthy nuances to a very long, mineral-laced finish. (LPB)" (01/2020)
