Bid on this 3-bottle lot of 2008 Malescot-St-Exupéry, Margaux (93VN). Vinous: "The 2008 Malescot St Exupery has a conservative, correct bouquet that to be frank is rather unexciting compared to its peers, although it does open and reveal briary and crushed rose petal scents and bingo, you are soon under its spell. The palate is medium-bodied with 'furry' tannins, good depth of fruit and it has a fine line of acidity. I like the spine of this Margaux and the classicism shown towards the bright finish. It is one of those wines that meliorates with acquaintance, approaching previous scores that I have awarded this wine. (NM)" (05/2018)
Starting Bid: $195.00

Bid on this bottle of 2008 Saxum "James Berry Vineyard" Paso Robles Rhône Blend (98JD, 98RP, 97WS). Robert Parker's Wine Advocate: "The 2008 James Berry Vineyard (52% Grenache, 31% Mourvèdre, and 17% Syrah) saw some of its Grenache aged in the concrete eggs that are now catching on among some of the top producers on California’s Central Coast. With strong minerality from the limestone soil, this exuberant, fleshy, full-bodied wine is already drinking well. (I believe it was actually bottled just a day or two before my visit, which makes its performance that much more remarkable.) Dense purple, with sweet notes of barbecue smoke and meats as well as roasted herbs, extravagant black cherry, black currant, and blackberry fruit are all present in this wine, but there is plenty of underlying structure that comes from both the minerality and the Mourvedre component. Bid on this 3-bottle lot of 2008 Screaming Eagle Napa Valley Cabernet Sauvignon (OWC - 97JS, 96VN, 95RP, 94WS) in original wood. James Suckling: "This has a wonderful balance to it. It shows intense aromas of flowers and dark fruits with hints of incense and sandalwood. Changes all the time. Then goes to currants and flowers. Full and firm with a wonderful core of silky tannins that are polished and beautiful. Dark chocolate, vanilla bean, and dark fruit. Solid and firm. You could easy drink this but it has structure for aging as well. 88% Cabernet Sauvignon, 7% Caberent Franc and 5% Merlot. " (06/2011)
