Bid on this 2-bottle lot of 2004 Poggio il Castellare Brunello di Montalcino (96WS, 91WE). Wine Spectator: "Dried dark fruit on the nose, verging on date and prune. Full-bodied, with a dense palate of ripe fruit and supersilky tannins. This is a deep and beautiful red, delivering lots of subtle character. Fascinating. One of the undiscovered treasures of the vintage. Best after 2011. *Ranked #11, Top 100 Wines of 2009* (JS)" (04/2009)
Starting Bid: $80.00

Bid on this bottle of 2004 San Filippo "Le Lucére" Brunello di Montalcino (96WS, 94JS, 91RP). Wine Spectator: "Displays ripe berry and orange peel character, with hints of other citrus fruits. Full-bodied, with soft tannins and a beautiful underlying acidity. Long, flavorful and dense in structure. Best wine ever from this producer. (Web Only-2009)"
Starting Bid: $45.00

Bid on this 5-bottle lot of 2004 Paloma Napa Valley Merlot (93WS, 92RP, 92WE). Wine Spectator: "A supple, graceful style. Complex aromatics of red currant, plum and black cherry carry over to the palate, offering depth, richness and layers of flavor that unfold gradually. Tightly wound now, with firm but ripe tannins. Keeps revealing subtle flavor nuances, with hints of mineral, sage and dusty berry. *Highly Recommended* (JL)" (11/2006)
Starting Bid: $225.00

Bid on this 4-bottle lot of 2004 Glaetzer Shiraz Barossa Valley South Australia (96JH, (94-96RP), 93ST). Robert Parker's Wine Advocate: "The finest of this trio is the flagship cuvee, the 2004 Shiraz produced from 80- to 150-year-old dry farmed vineyards in the northern Ebenezer sector of the Barossa. Aged 16 months in French oak and American hogsheads, this larger-than-life, fascinating wine (cropped at .25 to 1 ton of fruit per acre) offers big, sweet, blackberry and cassis characteristics intermixed with notions of smoke, licorice, and pain grille. A wine of amazing extract, richness, and full-bodied power, with great purity as well as balance, this stunning offering should age effortlessly for 15 or more years. Filled with personality, it is a tour de force in Barossa Shiraz." (10/2005)
Starting Bid: $140.00

Bid on this 4-bottle lot of 2004 Il Poggione Brunello di Montalcino (95VN, 94RP, 93ST, 92WE, 91WS). Vinous: "Although still an infant, the 2004 Brunello di Montalcino has aged beautifully. Rose petal, bright red stone fruits and mint are some of the nuances that give the 2004 its lively, expressive personality. Silky tannins add considerable appeal today, but the 2004 also has more than enough depth to drink well for many years to come. (AG) " (10/2016)
Starting Bid: $260.00

Bid on this bottle of 2004 Robert Foley Napa Valley Claret (94RP). Robert Parker's Wine Advocate: "A blend of 95% Cabernet Sauvignon and 5% Merlot from the multi-talented Robert Foley, this opaque purple-colored 2004 Claret displays the Midas touch exhibited by Foley for many years. Sweet aromas of creme de cassis, licorice, charcoal and spice are followed by a beautifully etched, full-bodied wine with sweet tannins, well-integrated acidity, and a hint of background oak. Long, lush and opulent, it can be enjoyed over the next decade. (RP)" (04/2014)
Starting Bid: $60.00

Bid on this 4-bottle tasting lot; including 2-bottles of 2004 Kaesler "The Bogan" Shiraz Barossa Valley South Australia ((92-95RP), 94JH, 94WS, 93ST, 93WE) and 2-bottles of 2004 Kalleske "Greenock" Shiraz Barossa Valley South Australia (94JH, 94RP, 93ST, 91WS). Of the 2004 Kaesler "The Bogan" Shiraz Barossa Valley South Australia, Robert Parker's Wine Advocate writes: "The 2004 Shiraz The Bogan, a blend of 98% Shiraz and 2% Viognier aged 20 months in primarily American oak, is a seamlessly constructed wine that was tasted immediately prior to bottling. Inky/purple-colored, with superb ripeness and fruit as well as loads of cassis, blackberry, cedar, and spice box, it will be gorgeous young, yet should age effortlessly for 10-15 years." (10/2005)
