Bid on this 3-bottle lot of 2002 Vérité "Le Désir" Sonoma County Bordeaux Blend (94DC, 93RP, 93VN). Decanter: "Attractively aromatic, this has ripe dark fruit scents with a touch of smokiness. The sumptuous mouthfeel is energised by exemplary Cabernet Franc freshness, while the liquorice-infused finish is long, elevated by an ethereal airiness. (YC)" (07/2019)
Starting Bid: $390.00

Bid on this 5-bottle tasting lot; including 2-bottles of 2002 Domaine Huet "Clos du Bourg" Vouvray Demi-Sec (93JG, 93WS), 1-bottle of 2002 Domaine Huët "Le Mont" Vouvray Demi-Sec (93JG, 92ST), and 2-bottles of 2002 Domaine Huët "Le Mont" Vouvray Sec (93RP, 92WS). Of the 2002 Domaine Huet "Clos du Bourg" Vouvray Demi-Sec, Wine Spectator writes: "A stunning nose of honeycomb, cardamom, ginger and caramelized peach is followed by a slightly sweet, yet incredibly lacy palate of ginger, graham, fig and green tea. Supported by mouthwatering acidity that lets all the flavors hang effortlessly through a lengthy finish. (JM)" (07/2005)
Starting Bid: $185.00

Bid on this 2-bottle lot of 2002 Vincent Mongeard Grands-Echézeaux Grand Cru (92WS, (89-91BH)). Wine Spectator: "Very ripe, with sweet cherry, spicy oak and earth notes matched to a rich, full-bodied frame. Good concentration here, with pure, sweet Pinot Noir fruit, finesse and a firmly tannic finish. Give it time to come together. Long aftertaste of sandalwood and violet. (BS)" (09/2004)
Starting Bid: $340.00

Bid on this 3-bottle lot of 2002 Domaine William Fèvre Chablis Grand Cru "Les Clos" (95ST, 94BH, 94RP). Stephen Tanzer's International Wine Cellar: "Very pale, green-tinged color. Reticent, somewhat reduced, soil-driven aromas of crushed stone, petrol and lime blossom. Extremely primary today, but already hinting at great incipient complexity, with notes of talc, citrus skin, white flowers and white pepper. Dense and fat with sheer extract; a real mouthful of liquid minerals. Superconcentrated, seamless and penetrating. (ST) 95+" (07/2004)
Starting Bid: $270.00

Bid on this 2-bottle lot of 2002 Cos d'Estournel, St-Estèphe (94JS, 94RP, 92DC, 90WS). Robert Parker's Wine Advocate: "Deep garnet colored with a touch of brick, the palate sports tobacco, cedar chest and yeast extract scents over a core of figs, dried mulberries, fruitcake, sautéed herbs and cinnamon toast with a waft of oolong tea. Medium-bodied, the palate features bags of freshness, with firm yet grainy tannins and plenty of mature dried berry flavors, finishing long and spicy. (LPB)" (11/2018)
