Bid on this 3-bottle lot of 1991 Chateau Montelena "Estate" Napa Valley Cabernet Sauvignon (96ST, 95RP, 95VN, 91WS). Stephen Tanzer's International Wine Cellar: "The darkest of these wines so far: deep red-ruby. Some sexy high tones lift the complex aromas of black fruits, dried cherry, potpourri spices and earth. Initially a bit clenched but quickly revealed a silky texture, with perfectly integrated acidity enlivening the mid-palate flavors of red and darker berries, tobacco and spices accented by a minty nuance. This supple yet somehow youthful wine is perhaps most impressive on its inexorable, slowly building aftertaste, where the tannins are in perfect harmony with the fruit. A splendid Napa Valley Cabernet from a long growing season featuring a late harvest. (ST)" (05/2019)
Starting Bid: $420.00

Bid on this 2-bottle lot of 1991 La Jota "10th Anniversary" Howell Mountain Cabernet Sauvignon (94RP, 90WS). Robert Parker's Wine Advocate: "The 1991 Cabernet Sauvignon 10th Anniversary Release reveals a character similar to the 1991 Cabernet Sauvignon Howell Mountain, with richer fruit, and more sweetness and intensity on the palate. However, the tannin level is frightfully high, making this wine a candidate for drinking between 2000-2025. This is an immensely impressive Cabernet Sauvignon. (RP)" (12/1994)
Starting Bid: $170.00

Bid on this 3-bottle lot of 1991 Silverado Stags Leap District Cabernet Sauvignon (93WS). Wine Spectator: "A ripe and richly concentrated wine, with focused cherry, berry and currant flavors. On the finish, the tannins really kick in, but it also delivers a lot of fruit. This is a tremendous wine, especially in its price range. Best in 1997 and thereafter. *Spectator Selection, #14 of Top Wines of 1994*" (04/1994)
Starting Bid: $165.00

Bid on this 2-bottle lot of 1991 Robert Mondavi "Reserve" Napa Valley Cabernet Sauvignon (96RP). Robert Parker's Wine Advocate: "This wine is just beginning to drink spectacularly well. The fabulous 1991 Reserve is the quintessential Napa Cabernet that represents a synthesis in style between the elegance of a first-growth Bordeaux and the ripe, intense, generous fruit of Napa Valley. (RP)" (08/2002) 95 points Wine Spectator: "Striking, with a solid core of rich dark berry, currant and boysenberry flavors. Dense and powerful for a Mondavi Reserve. Still promising. (JL)" (06/2016)
Starting Bid: $270.00
