Bid on this 2-bottle lot of 2009 Domaine Joseph Roty Gevrey-Chambertin "La Brunelle" (90BH). Allen Meadows - Burghound: "What was a generously wooded nose has moderated somewhat and while the oak is not invisible, it no longer dominates the otherwise very fresh and pretty red Pinot fruit aromas that merge gracefully into silky, round and well-balanced flavors though the wood comes up again on the persistent finish. My rating offers the benefit of the doubt that the oak will integrate in time." (01/2012)
Starting Bid: $80.00

Starting Bid: $100.00

Bid on this 2-bottle tasting lot; including 1-bottle of the 2005 Domaine Serafin Gevrey-Chambertin Vieilles Vignes and 1-bottle of the 2008 Sérafin Père et Fils Gevrey-Chambertin Vieilles Vignes Of the 2005 Domaine Serafin Gevrey-Chambertin Vieilles Vignes, Allen Meadows - Burghound writes: "A very ripe but brooding and serious earthy dark berry fruit nose that introduces distinctly sauvage flavors that are rich, mouth coating and palate saturating as the amount of dry extract here is most impressive, all wrapped in a punchy and powerful finish with a core of very ripe tannins. This is by no means an elegant wine but quality like this is very rarely found at the villages level but make no mistake, patience is required. Highly recommended. " (01/2008)
Starting Bid: $100.00

Bid on this bottle of 2009 Frédéric Magnien Charmes-Chambertin Grand Cru ((92-95ST), (91-94BH), 92RP). Stephen Tanzer's International Wine Cellar: " Good full, deep red. Sexy, highly aromatic nose combines briary raspberry, crushed stone, clove, cumin, dried flowers and smoke. Wonderfully silky and seductive on the palate, with compelling inner-mouth perfume. But much less expressive on the back half and in need of substantial bottle aging. Still, this extremely promising Charmes is already wonderfully subtle wine." (01/2011)
Starting Bid: $100.00
