Bid on this bottle of 2001 Dunn Howell Mountain Cabernet Sauvignon (97VN, 95RP). Vinous: "Deep aromas of plum, mocha, iodine, loam, licorice, brown spices and graphite, accented by a hint of black pepper. Wonderfully juicy and light on its feet, conveying intriguing dark fruit, spice and saline mineral intensity and outstanding thrust. This wonderfully penetrating wine is still a baby. Finishes with firm but suave tannins and outstanding slowly building length. This wonderfully complete, classy wine boasts powerful structure and strong salinity and actually went into a shell in the glass. It should still be held for several years and it should go on for decades." (06/2020)
