Dark-chocolate and orange-peel undertones. Extremely long and flavorful. About three-fourths Cabernet Sauvignon with the rest being Cabernet Franc. Excellent follow-up to the 2013." (01/2017)

Bid on this bottle of 2014 Levy & McClellan Napa Valley Bordeaux Blend (OWC - (94-96RP), 94VN) in original wood. Robert Parker's Wine Advocate: "The 2014 Proprietary Red is a blend of 74% Cabernet Sauvignon, 12% Cabernet Franc, 8% Merlot and the rest Petit Verdot from their mountainside vineyard not far from the Sonoma County line. The entire vintage is barrel-fermented in Darnajou and Taransaud barrels and aged for 26 months prior to bottling. This looks like a relatively powerful Cabernet Sauvignon-based wine, but there are only 300 cases. The wine is full-bodied, with notes of loamy soil, graphite, forest floor, blackberry and cassis with a hint of charcoal and licorice. This is a sensational effort from Levy & McClellan that should drink beautifully for 25 or more years. (RP)" (12/2016)

Robert Parker's Wine Advocate: "A blend of 83% Cabernet Sauvignon, 9% Merlot, 6% Cabernet Franc and the rest Petit Verdot, is the 2014 The Absurd, basically a choice of their finest barrels, or as winemaker and owner Benoit Touquette says, 'The crème de la crème.' This is another perfect wine equaling their incredible 2013. Yet the 2014 is slightly more forward and showy, as many 2013s are just beginning to shut down. There are 250 cases of this majestic wine that has an opaque purple color, extraordinary nose of spring flowers, blueberry, blackberry, creosote, charcoal, toast and spice. The wine has unbelievable fruit on the attack, midpalate and finish, compelling purity, texture and a finish of close to a full minute. It is (as advertised by the winery) a 'showcase of the best of Napa Valley with the freedom of expression that results from no rules.' (RP)" (12/2016)

This 100% Cabernet Sauvignon will strike your palate with careful selections from Coupe de Foudre’s best vineyards blocks in Calistoga. The wine shows a dense ruby red color from a five-day cold soak and an extended fermentation soak helped to integrate very fine, round tannins. It was aged for 20 months in a combination of medium-plus toast Sylvain and medium-toast Orion and Taransaud barrels."

This is a bigger wine and close to 2% higher in alcohol at 15.5%. This is another sensational effort that flirts with perfection. Seventy-five percent new French oak was utilized for 20 months of aging, before the wine was bottle unfined and unfiltered. Opaque purple with notes of blueberry, black raspberry, incense, camphor and forest floor, the wine has an fabulous richness on the palate, a front-end-loaded appeal, but then carries through in the midpalate and finish with light tannin and good acidity. Bid on this bottle of 2014 Frank Family "Winston Hill" Rutherford Bordeaux Blend (96JD, 96RP, 96VN, 95CG). Vinous: "Powerful, ample and rich on the palate, Rich Frank's 2014 Cabernet Sauvignon Winston Hill is super-impressive. Dark raspberry jam, wild flowers, mocha and sweet spices all take shape in an exceptionally beautiful, sumptuous Cabernet Sauvignon. The 2014 is super-ripe, dense and flamboyant. It is also one of the best wines I have ever tasted from the estate. (AG)" (12/2016)

Bid on this bottle of 2014 Beringer "Private Reserve" Napa Valley Cabernet Sauvignon (96JD, 95JS, 95RP, 94VN). Jeb Dunnuck: "The flagship is the 2014 Cabernet Sauvignon Private Reserve and it's a blend of 97% Cabernet Sauvignon and the balance Petit Verdot and Malbec that’s mostly from Howell Mountain, with small lots from St Helena, Spring Mountain, Mount Veeder, and Calistoga. Aged 20 months in 82% new French oak, it sports an inky, opaque color to go with killer notes of blackcurrants, scorched earth, hints of oak, graphite and minerality. Rich, full-bodied and beautifully concentrated, it's tight and backward, and is more reminiscent of a 2013 than a 2014. It has the purity to drink nicely today, yet needs 4-5 years of cellaring to show its potential." (12/2017)
Starting Bid: $80.00
