Bid on this 2-bottle tasting lot; including 1-bottle of 2001 Domaine Tempier "La Tourtine" Bandol (91WS) and 1-bottle of 2002 Domaine Tempier Bandol. Of the 2001 Domaine Tempier "La Tourtine" Bandol, Wine Spectator writes: "Expansive, full-bodied red with loads of dark plum, beef, leather and smoke flavors. Cherry and spice notes fill the midpalate. Good power and length as well, with luscious chocolate notes on the long finish. (KM)" (10/2004)

Bid on this 2-bottle tasting lot; including 1-bottle of 2000 Château de Pibarnon Bandol (93JG) and 1-bottle of 2000 Henri Boillot Meursault 1er Cru "Charmes" (91VN). Of the 2000 Château de Pibarnon Bandol, John Gilman writes: "At age fifteen, the 2000 Pibarnon is still a bit on the young side, as it shows a bit more backend tannin than the 2001 vintage does today. The bouquet is deeper-pitched in profile than its younger sibling, delivering a complex mix of cassis, tarry tones, tree bark, licorice, a touch of roasted venison and cedary wood. On the palate the wine is full-bodied, complex and showing excellent mid-palate depth, with fine focus and grip, a meaty personality and still a bit of tannin looking to more fully fade away. I would give this top flight vintage of Pibarnon a few more years in the cellar to reach its absolute apogee. It should continue to drink very well for at least a couple more decades." (12/2015)

Bid on this magnum of 2010 Chimère (Sine Qua Non) Châteauneuf-du-Pape (1.5L) (OWC - 98RP, 94VN) in original wood. Wine Advocate: "Another amazing offering is the 2010 Chateauneuf du Pape Chimere, a blend of 93% Mourvedre, 5% Grenache and the rest white varietals. Packaged in a distinctive Italian glass bottle, this inky/purple-colored 2010 exhibits notes of blueberries, charcoal, roasted herbs and scorched earth. The complex aromas are followed by a full-bodied, super intense, young, unevolved wine that was bottled April 26, 2012, but still resembles a barrel sample. As the wine sits in the glass, aromas of blueberries, licorice and graphite emerge. While the tannins are sweet, they are abundant. This remarkable effort came from one 300-liter foudre. (RP) 98+" (12/2012)
