90 points Wine Spectator: "Rich and supple with ripe cherry, currant and tobacco nuances along with a soft, earthy quality on the palate. Very elegant with depth and flavor. Beautifully balanced." (09/1988) Wine Advocate: "The 1985 Siran is surprisingly powerful for the vintage, rich in fruit, elegant, long, and aromatic. It will age well..." (01/1998) K&L Notes: Reconditioned at the property in last ten years-direct from property. Great party size.

100 points James Suckling: "Rose petals, sandalwood and currants with some plums and fruit tea. Full-bodied, tight and focused. Incredibly straight and minerally. Toned muscles here. Tannic. Traditional and unwavering." (02/2018) 98 points Jeb Dunnuck: "More opulent, sexy and concentrated, the 2015 La Mission Haut Brion is a tour de force that has everything you could want from Bordeaux. A huge nose of smoke tobacco, gravelly earth, graphite, cassis, and blackcurrants gives way to a full-bodied, concentrated, perfectly balanced beauty that has incredib...

Love Pichon Baron but hate spending upwards of $100? This is a killer wine from the same estate, same vineyards, same winemaking genious, and offered for a relative pittance.

Wine Enthusiast: "The bouquet smells of minerals, semisweet grain and citrus zest. Entry is sweet and sugary; the taste profile at midpalate takes on heavy notes of glycerin, cane sugar and charcoal. (PP)" (05/2008) K&L Notes: The classic vodka in a large format.

96-97 points James Suckling: "This is really cool to smell, with lead pencil shavings, iron filings and oyster shells. Blackcurrants, too. Full to medium body with layers of firm tannins, but a dusty and powdery texture, too. Lovely finish. " (05/2022) 95-97 points Wine Enthusiast: "95–97. Barrel Sample. The structure of this wine is the thing—with both power and density, it has weight and the richness associated with this property but in a lighter style proper to the vintage. (RV)" (06/2022) 94-96 points Jeb Dunnuck: "The Grand Vin 2021 Château Lync...

95-97 points Wine Enthusiast: "Loaded with juicy acidity and layers of spice. The wine is packed with fruit that contrasts with the firm tannins that lie in the background giving a polished structure to this ageworthy wine. (RV)" (06/2022) 93-95 points Wine Advocate: "A terrific success, the 2021 Léoville Barton unwinds in the glass with aromas of blackcurrant, wild berries and plums mingled with hints of pencil shavings, loamy soil and cigar wrapper. Medium to full-bodied, deep and seamless, it's concentrated and tensile, with beautifully refined tann...

100 points Jeb Dunnuck: "Absolutely pure gold and reminding me of the 2009 (or is it the 2010?), the 2020 Château Smith Haut Lafitte sports a dense purple hue to go with incredible aromatics of blackberries, blueberries, scorched earth, wood smoke, and acacia flowers. One of the most concentrated, rich, and sexy wines in the vintage, this massive and extraordinarily opulent 2020 shows the vintage's pure, elegant profile yet backs it up with sensational levels of fruit and texture. Based on 65% Cabernet Sauvignon, 30% Merlot, and the balance Cabernet Fran...

Julie Sheppard for Decanter: "Maison Courvoisier has added a new XO expression to its range of Cognacs. Courvoisier XO Royal is a blend of old Fins Bois de Jarnac and Grande Champagne eaux-de-vie. It pays homage to Edward VII Re´serve, a blend that was created in the early 20th century by Courvoisier’s first chief blender Henri Prodeaux for the then-king of England. A few bottles of this rare old Cognac are preserved in Courvoisier’s Paradis cellar in Jarnac and formed the starting point for Patrice Pinet, the house’s sixth chief blender, to create the n...

95 points Wine Enthusiast: "Showing bright topaz in the glass, this Cognac entices with rich, concentrated caramel and toffee aromas. Fleetingly sweet on the palate, vanilla, mocha and hazelnut lead into a rounded brown-sugar finish punctuated by clove and orange peel. This easy sipper would be welcome at any dessert table. Made with a blend of Cognacs aged 11–25 years. *Top 100 Spirits of 2017* (KN)" (12/2017)

Bid on this 3 liter of 2018 Lafite Rothschild, Pauillac (3L) (OWC - 100RP, 99JS, 98JD, 98VN, 97WS) in original wood. Wine Advocate: "The 2018 Lafite Rothschild is blended of 91% Cabernet Sauvignon, 8.5% Merlot and 0.5% Petit Verdot and has 13.3% alcohol. Deep purple-black in color, it needs a fair bit of swirling to unlock intoxicating scents of blackcurrant cordial, baked plums and black cherry compote with an undercurrent of dark chocolate, licorice, cast-iron pan, cedar chest and fertile loam, plus a waft of pencil lead. The delicately crafted, medium-bodied palate is dripping with class, featuring layers of mineral-laced black fruits and exquisitely ripe, singularly Lafite tannins, finishing with epic length and depth. This simply stunning, delicately crafted expression of 2018 with its singularly evocative imprint of Lafite will require a good 7-8 years in bottle, then should continue to inspire awe over the following 40+ years. Bid on this 3 liter of 2005 Monbousquet, St-Émilion (3L) (OWC - 94RP, 93ST, 93TWI, 91WS) in original wood. Wine Advocate: "A beautiful effort from Monbousquet, this 2005 comes across to me as one of their strongest efforts, with notes of toasty oak, black cherry and blackcurrant fruit as well as some licorice, incense and flowers. Full-bodied and opulent, this is an amazing wine from a terroir on the so-called “wrong side” of St.-Emilion. Drink it over the next 15 or more years. It is an amazing performance. (RP)" (06/2015)

Vinous: "The 2010 Latour can be summed up in two words: “The king.” It convincingly asserts its superiority over other 2010s, including First Growths, in terms of its aromatic complexity, precision, balance, intensity, complexity and persistence. Simply a faultless Latour that ranks among its greatest achievements. Tasted from an ex-château bottle at the BI Wines & Spirits 10-Year On tasting. (NM)" (04/2020)

Bid on this 3 liter of 2005 Pontet-Canet, Pauillac (3L) (98JD, 97RP, 96VN, 96WS, 94WE, 92DC, 90W&S). Jeb Dunnuck: "Always showing well, this bottle of 2005 Château Pontet Canet was just about pure perfection in a glass. Still youthful ruby/purple-hued, with a gorgeous core of pure cassis and darker currant fruits, it's full-bodied and has a stacked mid-palate, building tannins, and textbook Pauillac graphite, lead pencil, and subtle tobacco and cedar aromas and flavors. It's a big, rich, powerful 2005 with flawlessly integrated tannins, remarkable purity, and a finish that won't quit. While it's still another 5-10 years away from being completely mature, it unquestionably offers incredible pleasure today." (08/2021)
