1993 Domaine Hubert 30 Year Old "K&L Exclusive" Pays d'Auge Vieux Calvados (750ml)
Top Pick!
Price: $99.99

Bid on this 3-bottle lot including a 1993 Domaine Ramonet Bienvenue-Bâtard-Montrachet Grand Cru (94JG, 92BH) and 2-bottles of 1993 Domaine Ramonet Bâtard-Montrachet Grand Cru (97VN, 94WS). 97 points Vinous: "The 1993 Montrachet Grand Cru is blessed with a show-stopping bouquet, scents of wet limestone, wild moorland and almost flint-like aromas. It is cut from the same cloth as the 1998 served practically alongside, albeit without quite the same laser-like precision. The palate is powerful and reminds me of the 1995 Montrachet encountered just a month earlier. The immediate impression is one of tension and energy, tucked underneath are hints of walnut and smoke, delivering an almost Chablis-like finish that feels undimmed after almost a quarter of a century. This is a fabulous and quite life-affirming Montrachet. (NM)" (5/2019)
Current Bid: $1,600.00

Bid on this 6-bottle lot of 1993 Léoville-Las-Cases, St-Julien (93RP). Wine Advocate: "Served blind by Jean-Hubert Delon at the chateau, the 1993 maintains is deep garnet core. The nose has really blossomed since last taste with blackberry, minerals, limestons, a hint of liquorices and a sweetness that I noted as “burnt honey”. Full-bodied on the palate with surprisingly sinewy tannins, excellent ripeness with an undertow of Morello cherry and a hint of tar on the very structured, very Saint Julien finish. Lot of typicity here. Bon vin! (NM)" (10/2007)
Starting Bid: $600.00

Bid on this bottle of 1993 Domaine Robert Arnoux Echézeaux Grand Cru (91BH, 90RP). Burghound: "Black spicy fruit trimmed by a deft touch of oak leads to substantially scaled, rich, intense flavors of impressive depth and the elegant breed of a fine Echézeaux is obvious, especially on the exceptionally long finish. I very much like this as it's both beautifully balanced and offers solid concentration and cellar potential." (01/1996)
Starting Bid: $300.00

Bid on this bottle of 1993 Domaine Armand Rousseau Chambertin-Clos de Beze Grand Cru (98JM, 96BH, 96JG, 96RP, 96VN, 93WS). Jasper Morris: "Beautiful pure elegant colour with a stylish nose, young but opening nicely. Middleweight plus, a little sweetness, still good acidity. This becomes absolutely glorious in the glass, especially the bouquet, still exceptionally youthful, retaining a trace of bitterness on the palate. Lively dancing fresh red fruit, goshtbis is good. *5-Star Wine*" (11/2016)
Starting Bid: $3,750.00

Bid on this 3-bottle lot of 1993 Domaine Robert Arnoux Clos de Vougeot Grand Cru (91WS). Wine Spectator: "Racy red sporting sleek tannins and loads of smoky, berry, raspberry character. Medium-bodied, finely tannic, a super fruity finish. " (11/1995)
Starting Bid: $390.00

Bid on this bottle of 1993 Moët & Chandon "Dom Pérignon" Brut Champagne ((91-93RP), 92WE, 91VN). Wine Advocate: "A divine creamy, almost yeasty nose with a touch of walnut. Very fine nervosite on the palate, vibrant, citrus acidity. Steel on the mid-palate. Elegant but powerful. I doubt it will last as long as other vintages but for now this is a delicious champagne to celebrate with. Tasted November 2004. (NM)" (11/2004)
Current Bid: $321.88

Bid on this 3-bottle lot of 1993 Carruades de Lafite, Pauillac. Wine Advocate: "Of the 64% of Lafite-Rothschild's harvest eliminated from the grand vin, only 40% made it into Lafite's second wine, Carruades de Lafite. It displays a character similar to Lafite's in its elegance and finesse, as well as fine ripeness, and tasty, curranty fruit wrapped in a medium-bodied, supple framework. A noteworthy introduction to Lafite-Rothschild's elegant style... (RP)" (02/1995)
