Bid on this 3-bottle lot including a 1993 Domaine Ramonet Bienvenue-Bâtard-Montrachet Grand Cru (94JG, 92BH) and 2-bottles of 1993 Domaine Ramonet Bâtard-Montrachet Grand Cru (97VN, 94WS). 97 points Vinous: "The 1993 Montrachet Grand Cru is blessed with a show-stopping bouquet, scents of wet limestone, wild moorland and almost flint-like aromas. It is cut from the same cloth as the 1998 served practically alongside, albeit without quite the same laser-like precision. The palate is powerful and reminds me of the 1995 Montrachet encountered just a month earlier. The immediate impression is one of tension and energy, tucked underneath are hints of walnut and smoke, delivering an almost Chablis-like finish that feels undimmed after almost a quarter of a century. This is a fabulous and quite life-affirming Montrachet. (NM)" (5/2019)

The nose has really blossomed since last taste with blackberry, minerals, limestons, a hint of liquorices and a sweetness that I noted as “burnt honey”. Full-bodied on the palate with surprisingly sinewy tannins, excellent ripeness with an undertow of Morello cherry and a hint of tar on the very structured, very Saint Julien finish. Very fine nervosite on the palate, vibrant, citrus acidity. Steel on the mid-palate. Elegant but powerful.
