Bid on this bottle of 1993 Domaine J-F Mugnier Musigny Grand Cru (97BH, 94JG, 92VN). Allen Meadows - Burghound: "The intense and slowly maturing pinot fruit wafts from the glass offering beautifully nuanced aromas of smoke, violets and a cornucopia of red fruit that is now beginning to reveal some secondary development. The mid-palate is finally beginning to open with velvet-textured flavors that exude a lovely minerality before joining with a seamless finish that seems to go on and on. Mugnier once told me that this is the finest wine he has ever made and I don't doubt it for a second. This is "thrill a second" juice that should drink well for another 15 to 20 years, perhaps longer. To my taste, this is still on the way up though it is approaching its prime window of drinkability and could certainly be enjoyed now." (03/2019)
Starting Bid: $2,350.00

Bid on this bottle of 1993 Domaine Roumier Bonnes Mares Grand Cru (96JG, 95BH, 93VN). John Gilman: "The 1993 Roumier Bonnes-Mares is another brilliant example of the vintage. The bouquet is deep and quite typical of the vintage in its black fruity interpretation of the terroir. The wine soars from the glass in a blend of black cherries, plums, a bit of dark chocolate, venison, striking minerality, and a topnote of black truffles. On the palate the wine is full-bodied, deep and powerful, with a great mid-palate core, bright acids, and tremendous length and grip on the stunning, complex and powerful finish. This is a great bottle in the making that demands at least another five to eight years of cellaring to fully apogee- drinking it before this is infanticide." (07/2006)
Starting Bid: $3,195.00

Bid on this 3-bottle lot of 1993 Zind-Humbrecht "Rangen de Thann - Clos St. Urbain Sélection de Grains Nobles" Gewurztraminer Alsace Grand Cru (99RP). Wine Advocate: "The only Zind-Humbrecht Gewurztraminer I tasted that was not from the 1994 vintage was the 1993 Gewurztraminer Rangen Clos St.-Urbain Selection de Grains Nobles, one of the most extraordinary sweet wines I have ever tasted. Only a minuscule 25 cases were produced, of which five made the trans-Atlantic trip to the United States. The wine displays a dense orange/caramel color, an awesome nose of orange marmalade, botrytised, exotic fruits, an unctuous, viscous, oily texture, spectacular acidity, and a finish that lasts for more than 60 seconds. It is almost too rich and intense to be classified as a beverage, so call it a food product. It is a glorious freak of nature that should drink well for 50+ years. (RP)" (06/1996)
