93 points Robert Parker: "The 1961 Gazin was a fabulous surprise. The wine displayed a knock-out, caramel/chocolate/coffee-scented nose, medium to full body, sweet, expansive, exotic black cherry and fruitcake-like flavors, and a chewy, fleshy, velvety-textured finish. This wine has been fully mature for some time, but it reveals no signs of fruit loss or color degradation." (02/96)
Price: $699.99

Bid on this 2-bottle lot of 1961 Domaine Clair-Daü Gevrey-Chambertin (92RP). Wine Advocate: "Sumptuous and gourmand, the 1961 Gevrey-Chambertin Village was drinking beautifully, mingling aromas of plummy fruit with hints of warm spices, mossy soil tones and blood orange. Full-bodied, fleshy and enveloping, it's velvety and textural, with a layered core of fruit, melting tannins and lively girdling acids, concluding with a long, sapid finish. (WK)" (04/2021)
Starting Bid: $600.00

Bid on this 2-bottle lot of 1961 Léoville-Las-Cases, St-Julien (92RP). Wine Advocate: "This has a well defined bouquet, fresher than other bottles of this wine that I have encountered although not as ambitious as Ducru-Beaucaillou or Gruaud-Larose. Dark berries, a touch of soy, mint and cranberry leaf. The palate is medium-bodied with firm, taut tannins; very strict and linear, a slight tinny edge towards the finish but well defined. This is probably the best bottle of ’61 that I have met. (NM)" (07/2011)
Starting Bid: $630.00
