Chante Cigale means singing cicada (a type of grasshopper/cricket), and the Cicada red is their early-drinking any day Grenache/Carignan blend. The property has been in the family since the 19th century and is currently run by Alexandre Favier who assumed the reins at the ripe old age of 20. The domaine is planted to 40 ha of red and 5 ha of white on 45 different parcels throughout the appellation.

This insane deal on Vedrenne's red bitter liqueur will save you a ton of money over buying Campari! Made in Nuits-Saint-Georges in Burgundy France, Vedrenne is one of the countries largest liqueur producers. The bitter is a perfect sub in for Campari and this deal is simply too good to pass up.

89-91 points Jeb Dunnuck: "Brought up in amphora, the 2017 Rasteau Argilla Ad Argillam is equal parts Grenache and Syrah. Black cherries, lavender, sappy herbs, and floral notes all emerge from this beauty, which is fine, elegant, and about as easy to drink as it gets. (JD) " (08/2018)

92 points Jeb Dunnuck: "The Syrah-dominated 2018 Côtes Du Rhône Villages Roaix Les Hautes Granges offers more peppery herbs, meat, and garrigue notes as well as medium to full-bodied richness, good mid-palate density, and ripe, polished tannins. It’s not a classic Cotes du Rhone, but the quality of the Syrah-dominated cuvées from the Southern Rhône has soared in recent vintages, and this is a prime example. It has remarkable purity of fruit, plenty of structure, and will keep for over a decade. 92+ (JD)" (09/2019)

From the distributor: "Brasserie du Coteau, newly started by Guillaume Clusel of our Northern Rhone producer, Clusel Roch. Guillaume is now producing beer, along with his childhood friend and sales manager at Clusel Roch, Gaëlle Bonnefond. Called Les Marmots, a term for an overactive child we might call a brat, this organic beer come packaged in beautiful 33 cl bottles." The Blonde has light flavors that contrast with a full and malty body, but never comes across as heavy. Great to pair with roasted meats and a variety of cheeses.

This family-owned domaine, located in a tiny Loire village St-Julien-de-Chédon, dates back to 1804. Since 2009, Laurent Benoist has been at the helm, focusing his efforts on sustainable farming and pure, terroir-driven wines. As a region, Touraine has the flexibility to plant a wide range of varieties, setting it apart from Vouvray, which only allows Chenin Blanc, or Sancerre, which only allows Sauvignon Blanc and Pinot Noir. In Touraine, Chardonnay, Sauvignon Blanc, Chenin Blanc, Malbec, Cabernet Franc, Pinot Noir and a few other indigenous grapes are s...

"My name is Sophie Guiraudon and I am a winemaker since ZERO generation!" Sophie Guiraudon worked in other people's wineries in southern France for years, and in 2000, she started her own biodynamic, organic winery. She wanted to grow grapes that her son could eat right off of the vines. The "Lolo de l'Anhel" is a blend of 81% Carignan, 10% Syrah, 7% Grenache, and 2% Mourvèdre. The grapes are handpicked, gently vacuum pressed, and finished with 100% tank aging.

90 points Vinous: "The 2022 Guilhem is airy and breezy, with the grace that makes it a real charmer. This pale-colored, beautifully textured Rosé is impeccable in its balance. Pretty floral notes fill out the mid-palate effortlessly. Despite its light color, the 2022 offers plenty of depth and tons of stylish appeal. (AG)" (05/2023) K&L Notes: This delightful salmon-pink wine is produced using the traditional saignée process. After macerating on the skins for approximately 10 hours, the juice is then pumped off and fermented in temperature-controlled,...

91 points Wine Enthusiast: "This wine is named after the number of the large barrel from which it came. A concentrated, structured wine, it shows tannins and firm berry flavors. It is still young and needs to age, so drink from 2025. (RV)" (02/2023) K&L Notes: Considered a lucky number by winemaker Robert Perroud, the noble Gamay in "Foudre No. 5" grows on a three-acre vineyard on the slopes of Mont Brouilly. Perroud's family winemaking history stretches all the way back to the French Revolution. In the name of the environment and biodiversity, he and ...
