92 points Descorchados : "This is now the third vintage of these vines, the first albariño from Marichal, planted in 2019, and we at Descorchados have liked it since its first vintage, the 2021. This 2023 offers an herbal and citrusy side with soft touches of ripe fruits and a body dominated by bright acidity. It's unoaked, a pure expression of the variety grown on the clay and limestone soils of Echevarría, in Canelones." (01/2024)

Edgar Brutler is a family winery in Transylvania producing wines mostly from old vines. The grapes for this wine are sourced from one of two known Grünspitz vineyards in the world. The vines are about 15 years old and they have less than one hectare under vine for this rare variety. The grape was more famously found interplanted among other varieties and used for field blending. Its signature acidity and light tannic texture helped build the backbone of many of the regions table wines. Edgar's father Johann took cuttings and planted this vineyard wan...

This fun gulpable red is the traditional glou glou wine of Morava. The style is known locally as Rysak and is always a blend of at least one red grape and one white. This one by local vigneron Jarsolav Osicka is a blend of 50% Pinot Noir and 50% Pinot Gris. The grapes are all whole cluster and are macerated together for 4 days and then fermented. This is fun, juicy "red" that is meant to be fun, fresh and served with a light chill. *Natural Wine*

93 points Descorchados : "About 300,000 bottles of this wine were produced—the white wine with the highest production in the winery, and it comes from the 40 hectares that the winery has planted on its property in Garzón, about 14 kilometers from the sea. 2023 was a warm and dry year and produced a small amount of grapes, which may explain the density of this vintage, the strength on the palate, and how juicy it is amidst all those fruity flavors and that refreshing acidity that lends nerve. A surprising wine that shows Atlantic Uruguay’s talent with alb...

93 points Descorchados : "The tannat grown on granitic soils are usually somewhat fruitier than those grown on clay and limestone. They have finer tannins, as is the case with this one, which comes from a selection of Garzón's tannat vineyards in the area of the same name in Maldonado Bay. Light floral touches in a palate dominated by sweet red fruits and a bit of herbs. The body is intense, but not at all tiresome, and the finish is supported by mouth-watering acidity." (01/2023) 92 points James Suckling: "Rich but fresh on the nose with a hint of cig...

Importer's Notes: "Carbonic For All" is a wine made by the true method of carbonic fermentation. Whole undamaged berries of Rhine Riesling 70% and Hibernal 30% were held in barrels without air access. After three months, there was a gentle pressing. The wine is full of yellow color, with a fruity aftertaste and the ambition to be an oily type of wine, suitable for further aging. *Natural Wine*
