The brewery: "Redemption is the younger sister to our award-winning ale, Damnation. Fashioned after a Belgian-style 'single,' this ale is rarely brewed in America, let alone Belgium. Typically, 'singles' are brewed only at the Trappist Monasteries for the monks to enjoy with meals. They often drink only half a bottle with lunch and the rest with supper, despite the beer's low alcohol content. Redemption is modest in strength, robed in warm golden hues, and soft on the palate with a smooth dry finish." 5.0% ABV / 1.048 O.G / 23 BUs. DUE TO RUSSIAN RIVER ...

96 points Wine Enthusiast: "One of the most iconic Trappist beers, this pours a gorgeous golden-orange color, with a large, frothy off-white head that lingers. Bottled with brettanomyces, you can immediately pick up on the wonderfully complex, dry, funky earth and barnyard notes, with additional aromas of orange peel, green apple, gingered white tea, yeasty spice and freshly baked bread. The medium-bodied mouthfeel boasts bright, fizzy carbonation and refreshing acidity, making the palate seem light and approachable. It finishes dry and spicy, with flavo...

"Our interpretation of a traditional Belgian wheat beer, Allagash White is unique and truly refreshing. Brewed with a generous portion of wheat and our own special blend of spices, this beer is light and slightly cloudy in appearance, with a spicy aroma. Overall, it is a beer that is very drinkable and smooth any time of the year. Pair with a salad with vinaigrette dressing or a fresh goat cheese. Excellent accompaniment to poultry and fish entrees or a dessert such as a spicy apple pie."

From the brewery: "Irreverent Wit is a fresh, enlightening example of a Belgian classic. As soon as you draw in this effervescent and creamy, Belgian-style White Ale, you will be transported to a golden sea of tall, dry wheat moving in the wind. This beer is perfectly balanced with subtle flavors of banana and bread, accented by the black peppercorn on the tip of your tongue and finishing with light notes of spice and a dry, yeast character."

From the brewery: "When you brew as much as we do, sometimes we get tired of telling the yeast what to do. For Apex Predator Farmhouse Ale, we pitch the yeast cold, turn off the temperature control, and let the yeast do it's thing. To our delight, it spat out the sweet scent of juicy fruit wafting from a frothy, white mane. Brewed only with grain and sugar unencumbered by the heat of the kiln, we create a hazy, golden body. Apex Predator gets its teeth from a generous Crystal dry-hopping that completes the dry finish with a fruity bite. Pounce on the opp...

"A Belgian classic with a diaspora of Bay Area flavor. Golden-hued in color, this beer exemplifies the visual representation of life beyond the golden gates. With aromas of banana esters transforming into light grassiness, it is comforting and inviting like fresh banana bread cooling over the windowsill. Balanced spice notes accompany dried fruit flavors of pear and grapefruit. Finishes clean and dry."

97 points Wine Enthusiast: " *Best Buy* An authentic Trappist product, brewed at one of only seven Trappist breweries in the world, this is Rochefort’s boldest and strongest offering. The bouquet is seductively rich, with dense aromas of roasted malt, brown bread, figs and barely-shriveled prunes, all accented by spicy notes of cigar box, coriander, pepper and cocoa nib. The palate is round and lush, with a full, creamy texture that goes down remarkably smooth. The alcohol is balanced, and nowhere near as noticeable as it should be, with flavors of caram...

This beer is a great reason to get together for the holidays to share wth your friends and family

Brewed only for the Christmas and New Year, Noël complete the "Delirium" trilogy. Its appearance is a superb warm copper to red color, recalling "Nocturnum" except in its taste. It hides its subtlety by multiple levels of flavor and should be approached with confidence, with a tinge typical Christmas, sauced with a sweet touch, then bitterness. (Brewery Notes)

From the brewery: "'Great wits are to madness near allied, and thin partitions do their bounds divide.' This approachable yet complex style draws upon the beer styles and brewing skill that built the Smokestack Series. The result is a beautiful, incredibly drinkable and delightfully spiced Double Wit."

One of the best known Quadrupels available on the market, the St. Bernardus Abt 12 has earned its place in the spotlight. The current release is based on one of the original recipes from the Trappist Monks of Westvleteren, which was given to the cheese-making abbey of St. Bernardus. (From WWII until 1992 the beer was sold under the names Trappist Westvleteren, St. Sixtus and Sixtus.) The beer is dark and full-bodied, with a fruity nose and complex palate, striking the perfect balance between malty, bitter and sweet.

Though six or seven breweries make saisons, Saison Dupont is the undisputed classic of the style. It comes from an artisanal brewery that is also a working farm (eggs are sold in the executive offices!), where they produce beers with exquisitely handmade character and "unruly, clumpy yeast." When Saison Dupont first arrived in the United States, we had to do quite a bit of explaining about the look of the beer. The brewery has cultured their yeast for taste and aromatic qualities. Because Dupont basically only sells beer direct from their brewery, they h...

"Mischief is a hoppy Belgian-Style golden strong ale. This wickedly good golden ale is fiendishly dry-hopped with American hops to add a layer of complexity and mystery to its fruity, dry Belgian-style character. Citrus and resin diabolically combine with ripe melon, pear and slight peppery spice in a precariously effervescent mixture. Enjoy it, but you'll want to keep an eye out. Gold Medal - 2016 Great American Beer Festival, American-Belgo-Style Ale." (Bruery notes)

From the brewery: "This Belgian-style Witbier always maintains the classic orange peel and coriander additions, but each year we layer in a Radiant twist. For 2023, we're giving Blank Slate a gin botanical edge. This year's Blank Slate is not meant to taste like gin, but rather to fold in just a little bit more spice complexity to one of our most food friendly beers."
