Bid on this 3-bottle lot of 1998 Veuve Clicquot "La Grande Dame" Brut Rosé Champagne (OWC - 95W&S, 93WS, 92VN) in original wood. Wine & Spirits: "There's a firm, juicy Pinot Noir at the core of this rosé, a bold young wine that's packed with citrus acidity and intensely concentrated fruit. If you open it now, the wine will need food to bridge its power, whether roast quail with chanterelles or a steak with sautéed wild mushrooms. Or cellar it, relying on the exceptional balance and depth of flavor to sustain the wine as it ages." (12/2006)
Current Bid: $480.00

Bid on this 2-bottle lot of 2010 Paul Bara "Comtesse Marie de France" Bouzy Grand Cru Champagne. David Schildknecht of Wine Advocate writes: "Chantale Bara’s wines served as the Bouzy reference point for many of us wine lovers on account of not only their solid quality but also their long-standing U.S. availability. Sourced from an unusually high percentage of old vines, these wines never undergo malo-lactic transformation, and it has struck me in recent years that this might be one reason that they occasionally – notably in their lower price echelons – come off as slightly rustic or brusque."
Current Bid: $180.00
Bid on this bottle of 1996 Bollinger R.D. Extra Brut Champagne (97JS, 97WE, 96RP, 96VN, 95DC, 94W&S, 94WS). Wine Enthusiast: "The Bollinger R.D. (recently disgorged) is Bollinger's answer to a prestige cuvée. Keeping the wine long on its lees (this was disgorged in June 2006) yields a wine that is very much in the rich Bollinger style. This is a beautifully balanced wine, with acidity, intensity and structure in perfect harmony. It is still so young, and certainly could age for years. *Cellar Selection* (RV)" (11/2006)
Current Bid: $305.00
Bid on this bottle of Jérôme Prévost "La Closerie Fac-simile" Extra Brut Rosé Champagne (96DC, 94VN). Decanter: "A pale rosé that combines intensity with gracefulness. The sandy terroir imparts delicate textures and subtle, slightly spicy red fruit characters. Elegant but uncontrived, and has great ageing potential. (AL)" (09/2019)
Current Bid: $431.00

Bid on this 4-bottle lot of 1996 Heidsieck Monopole Diamant Bleu (94WS). Wine Spectator: "Wonderful ripe aromas of butterscotch, peach, lemon and malt turn deeper, spicier and smokier on the palate. It's all focused by vibrant acidity that interplay with the creamy texture. This tastes ready, but should develop over the next decade. Long, nutty aftertaste. (BS)" (07/2006)

Bid on this 4-bottle lot of 2008 Dom Pérignon "Legacy Edition" Brut Champagne (96DC, 96WS). Wine Spectator: "There's power to this graceful Champagne, with the vivid acidity swathed in a fine, creamy mousse and flavors of toasted brioche, kumquat, pastry cream, candied ginger and poached plum that dance across the palate. An underpinning of smoky mineral gains momentum on the lasting finish. *Top 100 Wines of 2018, Collectible* (AN)" (11/2018)

Bid on this magnum of 1998 Taittinger "Comtes de Champagne" Brut Blanc de Blancs Champagne (96DC, 95VN, 95WE, 94RP, 93BH). Decanter: "1998 was a far from easy year, with frost followed by sunburn, and rain before and during the harvest. Those who waited out the rain did well; the 1998 Comtes is a lovely example. It is floral and fresh on the nose, with delicate aromas of citrus and marzipan. On the palate, the true nature of the wine reveals itself - regal and elegant with great finesse and a lingering finish. Still youthful, this will age for decades to come. (CC)" (01/2022)
