Bid on this 2-bottle lot of 2018 Sine Qua Non "Aperta" Central Coast White Blend (100RP, 97JD, 94VN). Robert Parker's Wine Advocate: "The 2018 Aperta is a blend of 38% Chardonnay, 25% Viognier, 22% Roussanne, 6% Petit Manseng and 9% Muscat. The vineyard components are 10% Cumulus Estate, 49% Eleven Confessions Estate, 30% Bien Nacido vineyard and 11% The Third Twin Estate. It spent around 24 months aging in 21% used barrels (two to four years old) and 79% new French oak (60% were larger puncheons). The nose opens with alluring notions of honeycomb, toasted almonds, orange blossoms, musk melons and poached pears with surfacing scents of lemongrass and preserved ginger. The rich, full-bodied palate is built with exciting tension, delivering a satiny texture and layers upon layers of apple, citrus and melon-inspired flavors with a spicy/savory undercurrent. Minerals and toasted nuts emerge on the long, long, long lingering finish. (LPB)" (08/2021)

Bid on this 3-bottle lot of 2000 Krug Brut Champagne (98JS, 97W&S, 97WS, 96BH, 95JG, 95RP, 95VN, 94DC). James Suckling: "Very fragrant. This has developed bright, ripe red cherry fruit aromas, vanilla cream, sweet roasted almond biscuits, some marzipan, tobacco, lemon meringue and chalky minerals. The palate has an assertive core of fine acidity with more yellow fruits expressed on entry, like peaches and nectarines. Good ripeness, superfine acidity. The redder fruits build as it goes; cherries and raspberries, yellow plums to close. Full of life. Drink now or up to 20 years, it will go the distance." (07/2015)

Bid on this 3-bottle lot of 2015 Château de la Maltroye Chassagne-Montrachet Rouge 1er Cru "Clos du Château Maltroye". "Jean-Pierre Cournut told me that the 2015 "growing season was a huge relief relative to the last few vintages even though we managed to avoid the hail damage that hit much of the Côte in 2014. I chose to begin picking on the 28th of August and the fruit was so clean that I basically paid people to watch it go by on the sorting table! Moreover we were able to pick extremely fast due to the clement conditions and the, somewhat sad, fact that we had extremely tiny yields due to the poor flowering. On the plus side at least what fruit we did obtain was beautifully ripe and the results speak for themselves as I'm very happy with the wines." Allen Meadows on, 06/2017
