We couldn't be prouder to be partnered with the Thompson brothers to bring their incredible hand-selected, independently bottled, single-cask single malts to the US market while we wait for their own spectacular single malts to mature. The brothers have made connections with all the major suppliers of good quality malt throughout Scotland, so while many new independent bottlers are paying high broker premiums for access to interesting stock, the boys up at Dornoch seem to have access at incredibly reasonable prices to solid blue chip stocks. We're not en...

The entry offers tastes of salt water taffy, toffee and tea leaves; the midpalate features flavors of toasted malt, sautéed butter, sultanas and oak. Finishes slightly oily, long and smoky. (PP)" (08/2006) K&L Notes: The 2008 International Wine and Spirits Competition in London, named Bunnahabhain 25 yr the Double Gold Medal winner, Best in Class!!! 92 points Wine Enthusiast: "A seductive brininess and waves of oily peat-reek greet the olfactory sense. The palate entry finds a surprisingly buttery-creamy leaning along with the peat-reek; at midpalate the flavor becomes concentrated, oily, malty sweet, and only moderately peaty. Ends on a sweet malty note. Builds from stage to stage, each phase being better than the last. *Best Buy* " (06/2006) Wine Spectator: "The first flush is fruity, with cherry and ripe berries, and then the smoke wafts in." (03/2017) Whisky Advocate: "Funny to think how rec...

90 points Whisky Advocate: "A no age statement Bunnahabhain destined to replace the existing 12 year old, matured in first and second-fill sherry casks. Raisins, fruit spice, furniture polish, and roasted nuts on the nose, along with an edge of brine. Rich and full-bodied in the mouth, with malt, sweet sherry, and cotton candy, plus cloves and a sprinkling of sea salt. The finish offers red berries, lively spice, and dark chocolate. (GS, Spring 2019)" K&L Notes: The new entry level offering from Bunnahabhain is pronounced "stew-rahdur." The company has ...

98 points Wine Enthusiast: "Almond and honeysuckle aromas lead to a palate that opens with honeyed sweetness. Adding water brings ginger and lemon cream pie notes forward, finishing long and mouthwatering, with a brush of smoke on the exhale. It’s surprisingly lithe and lively for such a long-aged single malt." K&L Notes: Tasting notes from Jim Murray's Whisky Bible "NOSE Bunna is found on the seashore of Islay….and this nose had been taken right to the very edge. It wreaks of salty seadog, the brine entangled with the ancient oak of the vessel TASTE th...
