Domaine Séailles' Armagnacs from the 1970s are absolutely lights out. The balance between fine French oak and shockingly bright fruit—especially for such old brandies—is hauntingly beautiful. The tiny estate only has 2.5 acres of Ugni Blanc dedicated to Armagnac on Ténarèze's famous clay limestone soils, and they manage to produce extremely high quality brandy for very affordable prices. The '75 sits at a wonderful 46% ABV and is so approachable that it may just become the go-to pour for you and your guests.

Styles vary tremendously across Armagnac and Domaine Séailles' flavor profile falls firmly in the middle between the two extremes of woody or fruity.
