Avinyo is small grower/producer of Cava. The Esteve family have been growing grapes in the Alt-Penedes region for generations. And started producing their own wines in the late '70's. They own 40ha of land and they only use organic practices in their vineyards. La Ticota is Avinyo’s oldest single vineyard. This is a wine that is only made in the best of vintages. La Ticota is a 2ha plot that was planted to Xarel-lo and Macabeu in 1945 in calcareous clay soils. This Gran Reserva is aged for over five years on its lees. *organic*
