"Daisy Cutter Pale Ale is one of the first beers we brewed at our brewery on Lincoln Ave. It began as a special release bomber beer, but caught fire both in and outside the brewery. At the time, 2009, there were some local pale ales that hit with natural power, but not many. Daisy Cutter’s lush and dank characteristics steadily carved out a place within the Chicago brewing landscape. Today, Daisy Cutter is a call brand that we continue to keep raw and relevant. Blended pine, citrus, papaya and mango. Dank. Apparent biscuit, lingering, obscenely dry." (...

2019 Ken Wright Yamhill-Carlton Pinot Noir (Previously $45) (Previously $45)
Top Pick!
93 points Wine Spectator: "Expressive and detailed, featuring a vibrant core of acidity and handsome tannins framed by cherry and tart blueberry flavors, with dusky spice accents that build tension toward refined tannins. (TF)" (12/2021) 92 points Wine Enthusiast: "Known for single-vineyard wines, Ken Wright is introducing a new set of AVA-specific Pinots. This wine is particularly significant, as Wright was the man behind the application for the Yamhill-Carlton AVA. The flavors bring together blueberry fruit, clove spices, moderating acidity and a tex...

Slightly sweet, slightly sparkling and some skin contact with the grapes makes for one of the most incredibly unique wines from Greece we have ever tasted. This sits on the verge of natural wine meets sparkling cider meets sour beers. There's really no way to put into words how fun this is. You kind of have to try it and see. (Keith Mabry, K&L Greek Wine Buyer) *Natural Wine, Orange Wine*

From a solera begun in 1991, this spectacular Sanluqueño Amontillado contains wine of an average age of 15-20 years old. Blended in, there is a tiny amount of very old wine discovered in the bodega shortly after its purchase. It had been sealed in plaster, as the former owner was apparently determined to keep this pre-phylloxera wine, unblended, all to himself! Aromatics reveal salty flor, followed by toffee. The wine is racy on the palate, until it turns rich and succulent, with buttered and roasted pecan and almond flavors. This is really quite good. (...

91 points Wine & Spirits: "Light amber-tawny in color, this wine is delicately balanced between freshness and age. There’s brisk, tart peach flavor along with more mature tones of pale berries and woodsy mushrooms. Hints of tobacco smoke add to the wine’s elegance." (12/2015) 91 points Wine Spectator: "Racy and fresh, with detailed green fig, dried cherry, incense and hazelnut notes. Offers a long, focused finish. (JM)" (06/2018) Wine Enthusiast: "This hits the sweet spot between fruit and wood-aging flavors. The red fruit tones have just begun to ra...

This is a one of a kind dessert wine, but what else would you expect from a late harvest wine from the Canary islands? Harvested in November, fermented without any additions and then it goes into a solera aging system that is made from Allier French oak. The numbers are amazing for a dessert wine; 130 gm/L sugar, 8.8 g/L total acid and a pH of 3.3. Now the real question is what do all those numbers add up to? Delicious, plain and simple. Yes, it is sweet but it has an amazing amount of acid to balance all that sugar. It is also crazy complex. Tropica...

"Mischief is a hoppy Belgian-Style golden strong ale. This wickedly good golden ale is fiendishly dry-hopped with American hops to add a layer of complexity and mystery to its fruity, dry Belgian-style character. Citrus and resin diabolically combine with ripe melon, pear and slight peppery spice in a precariously effervescent mixture. Enjoy it, but you'll want to keep an eye out. Gold Medal - 2016 Great American Beer Festival, American-Belgo-Style Ale." (Bruery notes)

90-95 points Wine Enthusiast: "Opening nosing pass shows deft touches of caramel, honey and molasses. Palate entry is dry to off-dry and mildly honeyed; the midpalate is stately, medium-bodied and tastes of tar, tobacco, old oak and molasses. Aftertaste is long, bittersweet, brandy-like and tastes of dark caramel. *Superb, Highly Recommended*" (06/2006) K&L Notes: El Dorado Rum is made by Demerara Distillers Limited in Guyana, South America, and is perhaps the single greatest rum producer on the planet.
