A mistake at the winery kept the vintage off of the labels of these Jeroboams … So we have knocked $75 off each Jeroboam. This wine is a blend of very old vine (50+ years) Verzenay Pinot Noir and Oger Chardonnay in equal proportions. The Chardonnay comes from Delphine Cazals, Olivier Bonville's wife, who trades Patrick for red wine so she can make rosé. This wine has been given the time that it needs for the two very different terroirs to marry, and is a spectacular example of the small scale blending of two great villages. I can't really think of anythi...

2009 Billecart-Salmon Extra Brut Champagne Jeroboam 3L
Back In Stock!
94 points Wine Advocate: "Disgorged with two grams per liter dosage, Billecart-Salmon's 2009 Extra Brut Vintage is more giving and demonstrative than its 2008 counterpart, offering up inviting aromas of crisp stone fruit, yellow apple, brioche, honeycomb and warm pastry. Medium to full-bodied, fleshy and enveloping, with a pillowy mousse and a generous core of fruit girdled by bright acids, it's seamless and complete. Indeed, such is its charm and persistence that I tend to prefer it, at least for now, to the 2008. (WK)" (09/2021) 91 points Wine Specta...

This huge four-bottles-in-one vintage bottling from Billecart is composed of 61% Pinot Noir, 24% Chardonnay and 15% Meunier. It has enjoyed over seven years of ageing on the lees and is dosed as an extra brut at just 2.8 grams per liter. -Gary Westby, K&L

93 points James Suckling: "Attractive salmon color with aromas of dried strawberries and lemons, as well as hints of flowers. Full-bodied with tight tension from the fine phenolics that run through the palate. Hints of white pepper, peaches and sliced green strawberries with some candied lemons, too. Always an excellent bottle. 40% chardonnay, 30% pinot noir and 30% pinot meunier." (08/2022) 92 points Wine Enthusiast: "A dry style of brut, emphasizing great fruitiness, and with a touch of bottle age, this Champagne is ready to drink. Citrus, red fruits...

92 points James Suckling: "Toasty and generous with lemon freshness, this also has quite some dried-pear and peach aromas from mature elements of the blend, plus a touch of spice at the long, structured finish. The cuvée is based on 2015 and is 50% Pinot Noir, 30% Chardonnay and 20% Pinot Meunier. Reserve wines make up more than one third of the blend." (11/2021) 90 points Wine & Spirits: "Initially, this seems like a cream puff of a wine, generous in its vanilla scents, vibrant apple flavors and tart strawberry acidity. Then some limestone minerality ...
