93 points Robert Parker's Wine Advocate: "The 1994 Cabernet Sauvignon Napa (89% Cabernet Sauvignon and 11% Cabernet Franc) reveals toasty sweet oak in the nose, bombastic levels of black currant fruit and spice along with a hint of mint in the background. (RP)" (12/1998) 91 points Wine Spectator: "Dark, plush and concentrated, with a decided coconut and oak accent mixed with complex plum and berry flavors. Bid on this 2-bottle lot of 1994 Lopez de Heredia "Viña Bosconia" Gran Reserva Rioja (95VN, 93ST). Vinous: "(aged for nine years in American oak barrels and then held in bottle for a minimum of eight years before release) Vivid red. Sexy, mineral-driven aromas of ripe red berries, potpourri, sandalwood and blood orange acquire a flourish of Asian spices as the wine opens up. Stains the palate with lively, alluringly sweet red berry liqueur, rose pastille and spicecake flavors that show an impressive marriage of power and delicacy. Silky, spicy and precise, carrying no excess fat but delivering serious depth of flavor. Finishes with outstanding clarity, resonating florality and gentle tannic grip. As with the Tondonia, this wine has improved since I reviewed it in September 2012. (JR)" (01/2017)

Bid on this bottle of 1994 Lopez de Heredia "Viña Tondonia" Gran Reserva Rioja (96RP, 95VN, 94ST). Robert Parker's Wine Advocate: "The 1994 Vina Tondonia Gran Reserva has an elegant bouquet with light red cherries, orange blossom, mahogany bureau and burnt buttered toast. The palate has a meaty, savory entry with crisp tannins and racy acidity. It displays superb structure towards the finish where one finds notes of bitter lemon, orange peel and sage. Delicious!
