Bid on this 2-bottle lot of 2009 Domaine Michel Mallard Corton-Le Rognet Grand Cru.
Starting Bid: $135.00
Bid on this 2-bottle lot of 2011 Domaine Faiveley Corton-Clos des Cortons Faiveley Grand Cru (91VN). Vinous: "Brooding aromas of medicinal black cherry, dark berries, licorice and flowers, plus a minty nuance. Moderately dense, rich and fine-grained but classically dry and quite backward, even clenched. Similarly medicinal and restrained in the mouth, with notes of menthol, herbs and earth, but aeration brought lovely intense flavors of dark fruits, minerals, spices and flowers as well. Finishes with substantial broad, slightly dusty tannins and very good length. (ST)" (03/2019)
Starting Bid: $180.00
Bid on this 3 liter 1-bottle lot of 1996 Hospices de Beaune (Louis Jadot) Corton "Cuvée Charlotte Dumay" (3L) in original wood. The vineyards for this wine were bequeathed to the Hospices in 1534. According to the group, "Charlotte Dumay, wife of the King’s Keeper of the Mint in Dijon, gave 100 ouvrées of vineyard and fallow land in the territory of Aloxe, with a house in stone. Today, this is one of the Hospices’s longest-lived, most sumptuously structured wines. Corton-Renardes makes up 63% of the cuvée, Corton-Bressandes the balance, the vines being planted on a total of 24 different sectors of the famous hillside."
