92 points Wine Spectator: "Perfumed and silky, this red begins with aromas of violet and black currant, picking up hints of earth and spice on the palate. It's very elegant and lacy, with an attractive, spicy finish. Enjoyable now, but will improve. (BS)" (12/2004) 88-91 points Stephen Tanzer's International Wine Cellar: "Deep ruby-red. Ripe aromas of black cherry, chocolate and sweet oak. Concentrated and chewy, with black fruits complicated by mineral notes and chocolatey torrefaction. Finishes with very good length and pronounced oakiness. (ST)" (03...

Bid on this 5-bottle tasting lot; including 1-bottle of 2002 Vincent Girardin Corton-Bressandes Grand Cru ((90-92RP), (89-91ST)) and 4-bottles of 2002 Vincent Girardin Pommard 1er Cru "Les Rugiens". Of the 2002 Vincent Girardin Corton-Bressandes Grand Cru,Robert Parker's Wine Advocate writes: "The 2002 Corton-Bressandes sports a nose of raspberries, red cherries, and blueberries. Medium-bodied, supple, and lush, it has outstanding balance as well as a concentrated flavor profile crammed with silky, juicy red, blue, and black fruits. that linger in its suave finish. (PR)" (06/2004)
Bid on this bottle of 2002 Louis Jadot Chambertin-Clos de Bèze Grand Cru ((95-98RP), 97WE, 96WS, (92-95BH), 94VN). Robert Parker's Wine Advocate: "Black fruits are interspersed with licorice and earth in the nose of the medium to full-bodied 2002 Chambertin Clos de Beze. This concentrated, deep, noble wine is crammed with perfectly ripe fruit and tannin. Loads of blackberries, licorice, plums, black cherries, stones, and flowers can be discerned in its complex flavor profile. Its finish, described in my notes as 'completely unreal,' is exceedingly long, fruit-filled, and suave. If stored in a cold cellar, this wine would be an ideal selection for serving to a 2002 baby on his or her 21st birthday. (PR)" (06/2004)
Starting Bid: $270.00
Bid on this bottle of 2002 Domaine Louis Jadot Bonnes Mares Grand Cru ((97-99RP), 95ST, (92-94BH)). Robert Parker's Wine Advocate: "Armed with huge quantities of fruit and perfectly ripened tannin, the medium to full-bodied 2002 Bonnes Mares explodes from the glass with stunning aromas of candied blueberries, rocks, and red cherries. This massive, broad, enormously rich wine could ultimately, like the Chapelle and Clos de Beze, earn a perfect score. Its velvety waves of sensual red and black fruits are interspersed with nuanced notes of spices, mocha, flowers, and minerals. While enormously powerful and ripe, it magically retains its freshness and sports an ethereal quality that is difficult to put into words. It is a tour de force in winemaking! Anticipated maturity: 2009-2020+. (PR)" (06/2004)
