Bid on this 6-bottle lot of 2016 Elizabeth Spencer "ExS - Block 7" Sonoma Coast Chardonnay. We love Elizabeth Spencer's small production wines; consistently well-balanced and refined offerings that continue to fly under the radar somewhat. Elizabeth Spencer is a husband and wife winemaking partnership based in St. Helena. The wines are vinified using classical hands-on methods with minimal handling in small, individual lots. These south facing hillside vineyards are located north of San Pablo Bay on Lakeville Highway outside the town of Petaluma in southern Sonoma County. Cooling influences from the nearby Bay converge with those from the Pacific Coast to create a very cool microclimate, particularly well-suited to the production of premium Chardonnay grapes.
Starting Bid: $150.00

Bid on this 3-bottle lot of 2016 Domaine Vincent & Sophie Morey Puligny-Montrachet 1er Cru "La Truffière" (92BH). Allen Meadows - Burghound: "An elegant and refined nose reflects notes of pear, quinine, matchstick and floral hints. There is lovely purity to the detailed, intense and stony flavors that exude a wonderful sense of underlying tension on the palate staining finish that once again exudes a touch of bitter lemon character. This too should age well." (06/2018)
Starting Bid: $150.00

Bid on this 2-bottle lot of 2016 Domaine Thierry et Pascale Matrot Meursault 1er Cru "Perrières" (93BH, 93RP, 92VN). Robert Parker's Wine Advocate: "The 2016 Meursault 1er Cru Les Perrières was bottled a bit later than has been the norm chez Matrot, as Elsa Matrot is keen to see if longer sur lie élevage would benefit the domaine's wines. It was showing very well when I tasted it, revealing classic scents of lemon oil, white flowers and chalky soil tones that are defined more by the site than the vintage. On the palate, the wine is medium to full-bodied, satiny textured and deep, with good concentration, bright acids and a long, searingly stony finish. (WK)" (01/2019)
Starting Bid: $158.00

Bid on this 3-bottle lot of 2016 Aubert "CIX" Sonoma Coast Chardonnay ((98-100RP), 98JD, 95VN, 94WS). Robert Parker's Wine Advocate: "The 2016 Chardonnay CIX Estate is beguiling in its complexity and singularity, offering up scents of smoked nuts, waxed lemons, crushed rocks and coriander seed with hints of crusty bread, honeysuckle, baked peaches and clover honey. Full-bodied, full-on creamy and densely laden with layers of citrus and savory flavors, it has just enough freshness and wonderful length. (LPB)" (10/2017)
Starting Bid: $450.00

Bid on this 4-bottle lot of 2016 Peter Michael "Ma Belle-Fille" Knights Valley Chardonnay (98RP, 97JS, 96JD, 95VN). Robert Parker's Wine Advocate: "The 2016 Chardonnay Ma Belle Fille slowly unfurls in the glass to reveal vibrant key lime pie, lemongrass, pink grapefruit and white peaches scents with suggestions of crushed stones, clotted cream, almond croissant and orange blossoms. Medium to full-bodied and with a fantastic intensity of citrus and stone fruit layers giving way to loads of mineral accents, it finishes long and creamy. (LPB)" (10/2018)
Starting Bid: $360.00

Bid on this 2-bottle lot of 2016 Domaine William Fèvre Chablis Grand Cru "Les Clos" (96JG, 96JS, 94VN, 93DC, (91-93RP), 92BH, 92WS). James Suckling: "The complexity, concentration and drive make this an excellent Clos in 2016. The fruits vary from citrus to exotic stone fruits. Green tropical and white floral notes, too. The palate has a staggeringly concentrated core of acid-drenched lemons, lime, peaches and green mangoes. Incredible depth, high acidity and a very long finish. A great Clos! Drink or hold. " (02/2018)

Bid on this 3-bottle lot of 2016 Aubert "Hudson Vineyard" Carneros Chardonnay (99JD, (96-98RP), 97VN, 95WS). Jeb Dunnuck: "Borderline perfection, the 2016 Chardonnay Hudson Vineyard has a liqueur of rocks-like minerality as well as more Burgundian candied lemon, white flowers, and oyster shell characteristics. Brought up in 80% new French oak, it has a deep, rich, concentrated profile, vibrant acidity, and remarkable purity." (06/2018)
