The Fallet family traces its wine growing history back to 1610. Following the marriage of Geneviève Dart and Gaston Fallet in 1953, the Fallet-Dart brand was founded in 1970. The wine is composed of 70% Chardonnay and 30% Pinot Noir that is fermented in a mix of oak barrels and stainless steel tanks. It is then aged for at least seven years on the lees.
