Bid on this 2-bottle lot of 2015 Opus One Napa Valley Bordeaux Blend (98JS, 97RP, 97VN, 96DC, 93WS). James Suckling: "Purity and brilliance on the nose with so much currant and flower character. Roses, currant bush and fresh leaves, too. Brightness is the word that comes to mind. Full-bodied and broad-shouldered. Juicy and so gorgeous now. Balance is so wonderful here. All about harmonious fruit and tannin balance. I like it slightly better than the excellent 2014. 81% cabernet sauvignon, 4% petit verdot, 7% cabernet franc, 6% merlot and 2% malbec. Drink or hold." (12/2018)
Starting Bid: $580.00

Bid on this 2-bottle lot of 2015 Domaine Marquis d'Angerville Volnay 1er Cru "Champans" ((93-95BH), 95VN, 93RP). Vinous: "Saturated ruby. Youthfully imploded aromas and flavors of blackberry, cassis and licorice show no roasted character ("the color of the wine is the only thing that gives away the vintage, " noted Guillaume d'Angerville). More pliant than the 2016 but with a magical sugar/acid equilibrium and a complicating element of savory minerality. This insidiously palate-saturating wine finishes with outstanding slatey persistence and grip. I would imagine that this will be long-lived but will it ever really shut down in the bottle? It's hard to imagine that this fruit was harvested on September 4. (ST)" (01/2018)
Starting Bid: $220.00

Bid on this 2-bottle lot of 2015 Cirq "Treehouse Vineyard" Russian River Valley Pinot Noir (96JD). Jeb Dunnuck: "More focused, chiseled, and structured, the 2015 Pinot Noir Treehouse Vineyard comes from the more iron-rich soils of the Treehouse Vineyard in the Russian River and it always has more acidity, and tannin, than the Bootlegger’s Hill release. Deeper purple-colored with vibrant notes of black cherries, blueberries, violets, and underbrush, it’s medium-bodied, powerful, and focused on the palate. It will be even better with short-term cellaring. 96+" (06/2018)
Starting Bid: $220.00

Bid on this 2-bottle lot of 2015 Saxum "Paderewski Vineyard" Paso Robles Willow Creek District Red Blend (97JD, 97RP, 95VN). Robert Parker's Wine Advocate: "A 46% Mourvèdre, 30% Syrah, 14% Petite Sirah and 10% Zinfandel blend, the 2015 Paderewski Vineyard has a deep garnet-purple color and notes of red roses, warm cranberries and blackberries with hints of mulberries, garrigue, moss and dusty earth. Full-bodied, with a lovely fragrant earth and savory-laced palate with firm, grippy tannins and loads of mineral nuances on the long finish. (LPB)" (09/2017)
Starting Bid: $205.00

Bid on this 3-bottle lot of 2015 Ciacci Piccolomini d'Aragona "Vigna di Pianrosso - Riserva Santa Caterina D'Oro" Brunello di Montalcino (100JS, 97RP, 97WS, 95DC). James Suckling: "The opulence of fruit and complexity of earth, meat, mushroom and cedar is breathtaking. It’s full-bodied, deep and powerful with so much intensity and depth. Chewy and layered, it goes on for minutes. Give it even more time. Try after 2023." (06/2021)
Starting Bid: $300.00

Bid on this bottle of 2015 Realm "Beckstoffer To Kalon Vineyard" Napa Valley Cabernet Sauvignon (100JD, 100JS, 99RP). James Suckling: "Haunting aromas of terracotta, blackberries, plums and sweet tobacco. Very complex nose. Full body, super silky tannins, spices and ripe fruit. Ripe and compressed tannins. A reserved finish. More precise. A sensational wine. Cooler and more defined than the 2013." (05/2018)
Starting Bid: $295.00

Bid on this 2-bottle lot of 2015 Booker "The Ones" Paso Robles Cabernet Sauvignon (99JD, 97RP). Jeb Dunnuck: "The 2015 Cabernet Sauvignon Ones is probably the best Cabernet ever made from these limestone hillside vineyards in Paso Robles, and it reminds me of some of the top 2013s from Napa Valley. Blackcurrants, violets, lead pencil shavings, crème caramel and tobacco leaf nuances all emerge from this big, full-bodied beauty that has a stacked mid-palate, good acidity, ripe, present tannin and a structured vibe that’s going to age beautifully. It offers sensational purity and is a killer wine any way you look at it. Forget bottles for 3-4 years and enjoy over the following two decades." (08/2017)
Starting Bid: $320.00

Bid on this 3-bottle lot of 2015 Domaine Nicolas Rossignol Savigny-Les-Beaune 1er Cru "Fourneaux" (95DC, 92BH, 91VN). Decanter: "Wild berries, ripe red cherry, liquorice and incipient sous bois mingle in a complex bouquet, introducing a powerful, large-scaled rendition of Fourneaux. A firm core of fine tannin and bright acidity underpin a wine of striking amplitude and texture. A high point in the portfolio. (WK)" (12/2016)
Starting Bid: $105.00

Bid on this bottle of 2015 Realm "The Absurd" Napa Valley Bordeaux Blend (100JD, 100RP, 95JS). Robert Parker's Wine Advocate: "Composed of 88% Cabernet Sauvignon, 6% Merlot and 6% Cabernet Franc, the singular, absolutely compelling 2015 The Absurd opens with a seriously intense black currant cordial and plum preserves core, slowly revealing cedar chest, mincemeat pie, potpourri and spice box hints plus a waft of chocolate-covered cherries. The full-bodied, concentrated palate is packed with opulent black fruits and baking spice layers, featuring a rock-solid backbone of tight-grained tannins and just enough freshness to lift and tantalize on the long, seductive finish. Only 250 cases were made. (LPB)" (10/2017)
Starting Bid: $550.00

Bid on this 2-bottle lot of 2015 Booker "Fulldraw" Paso Robles Rhône Blend (96JD, 95RP). Jeb Dunnuck: "The 2015 Fulldraw comes from a site located just beside Jensen’s estate Booker Vineyard and is 50% Grenache, 30% Mourvèdre and 20% Syrah. It has a gorgeous, Châteauneuf du Pape-like (it reminds me of Domaine de Marcoux’s Vieilles Vignes cuvée) perfume of red and black fruits, spice-box, incense, fennel and cured meats. Ethereally textured and elegant, yet also ripe, powerful and concentrated, it has ripe tannin, it’s an incredible wine that builds with time in the glass." (08/2017)
Starting Bid: $110.00

Bid on this bottle of 2015 Kapcsándy "Estate Cuvée - State Lane Vineyard" Napa Valley Bordeaux Blend (97JD, 96JS, 95RP). Jeb Dunnuck: "The 2015 Estate Cuvee is the Margaux of the lineup with its perfumed floral, spice-box, black cherry and currant-driven aromas and flavors. It has an understated elegance, full-bodied richness, a beautiful sweetness of fruit, and a supple, sexy texture that makes it already impossible to resist. Showing a kiss of oak on the finish, give bottle 3-4 years and enjoy over the following two decades." (12/2018)
Starting Bid: $90.00

Bid on this magnum of 2015 Chimère (Sine Qua Non) Châteauneuf-du-Pape (1.5L) (97JD). Jeb Dunnuck: "The 2015 Châteauneuf du Pape Chimère is a selection of Mourvèdre made by the Maurel brothers of Clos Saint Jean, oenologist Philippe Cambie, and Sine Qua Non genius Manfred Krankl. I believe there’s a touch of Grenache in the blend, as well as some Clairette and other varieties, but the bulk of this cuvée comes from the famed la Crau lieu-dit and is brought up all in demi-muids. It offers a beautiful perfume of sweet kirsch and blueberry fruit intermixed with loads of licorice, sweet spice, violets, and crushed rocks. Full-bodied, super intense, sweetly fruited, perfumed, and complex, it’s a gorgeous 2015 that does everything right." (02/2018)
Starting Bid: $655.00

Bid on this 4-bottle lot of 2015 Domaine Courbis "Les Eygats" Cornas (100JD, (95-97RP), (93-95VN), 94WS). Jeb Dunnuck: "Lastly, the inky colored (it's even deeper than the Sabarotte) 2015 Cornas Les Eygats comes from a cooler terroir located in the northern part of the appellation. Raised in equal parts new and used barrels, it offers an utterly profound bouquet of blackberries, blueberries, scorched earth, pepper and liquid flowers. Possessing sensational purity of fruit, integrated acidity, sweet tannin and perfect balance, it's another remarkably elegant yet powerful, heavenly Syrah from this estate that readers shouldn't miss. It's up with the finest Cornas ever made. Bravo!" (01/2018)

Bid on this 2-bottle lot of 2015 Leonetti "Reserve" Walla Walla Valley Bordeaux Blend (98JD, 95JS, 95RP, 94VN, 94WS, 93WE). Jeb Dunnuck: "The 2015 Reserve is a borderline perfect wine. Made from 63% Cabernet Sauvignon, 29% Malbec, and 8% Merlot, its vibrant purple color is followed by a gorgeous nose of crème de cassis, graphite, scorched earth, liquid violets, and charcoal. Full-bodied, deep, voluptuously textured and layered, with sweet tannin, this incredible beauty stays pure and elegant on the palate, with perfect balance. It's going to drink nicely for two decades as well. Drink 2018 - 2038" (04/2018)

Bid on this bottle of 2015 Colgin "Tychson Hill Vineyard" Napa Valley Cabernet Sauvignon (100JD, 100RP, 98JS, 97VN, 96WS). Robert Parker's Wine Advocate: "Four acres are now in production at this singular, historic hillside vineyard next to the former cottage of Josephine Tychson, lovingly restored by Ann Colgin. The vineyard truly offers a unique expression of Napa Valley, with beautiful fruit layers, great elegance and the most profound fragrance being signatures of the vintages I have tasted. Deep garnet-purple in color, the 2015 Cabernet Sauvignon Tychson Hill Vineyard jumps out of the glass with all the vibrancy of this vintage, singing notes of cassis, crushed red cherries and mulberries with touches of chocolate, espresso, baking spices, cloves and black soil plus wafts of lavender and dried roses. Medium to full-bodied, it has wonderful elegance and finesse in the mouth, offering many mineral, black fruit and savory layers, finishing long and perfumed. (LPB)" (10/2017)
Starting Bid: $405.00

Bid on this magnum of 2015 Christopher Tynan Wines "Meleagris Gallopavo Vineyard" Napa Valley Cabernet Sauvignon (1.5L) (93RP). Robert Parker's Wine Advocate: "Deep garnet-purple colored, the 2015 Cabernet Sauvignon Meleagris Gallopavo Vineyard is a little closed and broody to begin, giving way to notions of licorice, tar, Indian spices and camphor with a core of crème de cassis, plum preserves and blueberry compote. Medium to full-bodied, the palate delivers retrained black fruits and earthy layers with a firm, chewy frame and a long savory finish. 93+ (LPB)" (10/2018)
Starting Bid: $360.00

Bid on this 6-bottle lot of 2015 Justin "Isosceles Reserve" Paso Robles Bordeaux Blend (OWC - 94WE) in original wood. Wine Enthusiast: "This reserve bottling delivers rich aromas of candied black cherry, dark caramel, licorice and mocha. The palate on this Cabernet-dominant blend is taut yet exuberant, offering a black currant flavor against a chalky texture. (MK)" (12/2019)
Starting Bid: $510.00

Bid on this 5-bottle lot of 2015 M. Chapoutier "Les Granilites" St. Joseph (94RP, 93DC, 92JD, 92JS, 92VN). Robert Parker's Wine Advocate: "The powerhouse 2015 Saint Joseph les Granilites sacrifices none of its intricate crushed stone elements to the warmth of the vintage, it just adds layers of creamy, ripe blackberries over the top. This full-bodied, rich and concentrated wine should provide close to two decades of drinking pleasure. (JC)" (12/2017)
Starting Bid: $125.00

Bid on this bottle of 2015 Sine Qua Non "Le Chemin Vers L'Hérésie" California Grenache (99JD, 98RP, 96VN). Jeb Dunnuck: "I loved the 2015 Grenache le Chemin Vers l’Heresie from barrel, and it certainly doesn’t disappoint from bottle. The 2015 checks in as a blend of 75% Grenache, 13% Mourvèdre, 8% Touriga Nacional and the rest Petite Sirah, fermented with 44% whole clusters (all from the Grenache and Mourvèdre) and aged close to two years in mostly used barrel. It sports a ruby/purple-tinged color to go with gorgeous notes of black cherries, framboise, black olives, fennel seed, and peppery herbs. Deep, concentrated, yet also voluptuous and seamless, it’s another tour de force from this estate which consistently produces one of the greatest Grenaches in the world. " (07/2018)
Starting Bid: $220.00

(12/2017)

Bid on this 2-bottle lot of 2015 Cirq "Bootlegger's Hill" Russian River Valley Pinot Noir (95JD). Jeb Dunnuck: "The 2015 Pinot Noir Bootlegger's Hill was made primarily by Nico Cueva, who’s the winemaker for Kosta Browne. This is a ripe, medium to full-bodied, broad, and expansive effort from the Russian River Valley that offers terrific notes of strawberries and cherry fruit, lots of violets and forest floor nuances, silky tannin, and loads of spice on the finish. In short, it’s a classic Russian River Pinot Noir to drink over the coming decade." (06/2018)
Starting Bid: $240.00

This majestic, full-bodied, powerful Cabernet flirts with perfection and reveals a saturated purple hue as well as fabulous notes of crème de cassis, blueberries, chocolate, green tobacco, graphite, and crushed rocks. With flawless balance and ultra-fine tannins, it has a rare mix of sexy, ripe fruit and an almost Old World sense of structure and purity. It’s going to evolve for 30 years or more. " (01/2020)

Bid on this 3-bottle lot of 2015 Morlet "Passionnement" Oakville Cabernet Sauvignon (99JD, 97VN, 95RP, 94WS). Full-bodied, incredibly concentrated, yet pure, structured, and on point, this sensational Cabernet Sauvignon needs 2-3 years of bottle age and will cruise for 2+ decades in cold cellars." (06/2018)
Starting Bid: $450.00

Medium to full-bodied with a rock-solid frame of super-ripe, grainy tannins and tons of freshness, it finishes incredibly long and remains incredibly provocative. (LPB)" (10/2018)

Bid on this 2-bottle lot of 2015 Maybach "Amoenus" Calistoga Cabernet Sauvignon (98RP, 97JD). Robert Parker's Wine Advocate: "Deep garnet-purple colored, the 2015 Amoenus Cabernet Sauvignon features vibrant, youthful crushed blackberry and black currant notes with touches of wild thyme, charcoal, pencil shavings and damp soil. Bid on this magnum of 2015 Vice Versa "Beckstoffer Dr. Crane Vineyard" Napa Valley Cabernet Sauvignon (1.5L) (99RP). Smoky, appealingly sweet and focused, offering palate-staining black and blue fruit and candied licorice flavors that are braced by juicy acidity and a late flourish of five-spice powder. Starting Bid: $100.00

Bid on this 5-bottle lot of 2015 Domaine De Saje '1600' Chateauneuf du Pape (93RP, 90JD). Robert Parker's Wine Advocate: "A rarity in Chateauneuf du Pape, Domaine de Saje's 2015 Chateauneuf du Pape 1600 features Counoise as the largest varietal component (42%), followed by Grenache (20%) and Mourvèdre (20%). The balance consists of tiny amounts of the other permitted varieties. Given Counoise's ability to retain acid and ripen at relatively low brix, could this be one possible way forward for an appellation struggling with high alcohol levels? The wine is complex, blending notes of cherry, cracked pepper, garrigue and clove, but also full-bodied and silky in texture, with a long finish. Impressive! (JC)" (10/2017)
Starting Bid: $125.00

Bid on this bottle of 2015 Schrader "T6 - Beckstoffer To Kalon" Napa Valley Cabernet Sauvignon (100RP, 99JD). Robert Parker's Wine Advocate: "Coming from the Beckstoffer To Kalon Vineyard, block D2 planted to clone 6, the 2015 Cabernet Sauvignon T6 sports a deep garnet-purple color and fantastically fragrant nose of Sichuan pepper, unsmoked cigars, potpourri, red loam and forest floor over a core of black forest cake, blackberry preserves and baked plums plus touches of dried Mediterranean herbs and smoked meats. Medium to full-bodied, the palate is full-on seductive, with wonderfully perfumed layers emerging through the frame of very finely knit yet firm tannins, finishing with epic length and depth. (LPB)" (12/2017)
Starting Bid: $260.00

Bid on this 3-bottle lot of 2015 Domaine d'Eugénie Vosne-Romanée (90VN). Vinous: "Rather open-knit aromas of strawberry, raspberry and spices. Bid on this 6-bottle tasting lot in original wood; including 3-bottles of 2015 Sine Qua Non "E - Eleven Confessions Vineyard" Sta. Rita Hills Grenache (100RP, 100VN, 98JD) and 3-bottles of 2015 Sine Qua Non "M - Eleven Confessions Vineyard" Sta. Rita Hills Syrah (99JD, 99RP, 98VN). Of the 2015 Sine Qua Non "E - Eleven Confessions Vineyard" Sta. Rita Hills Grenache, Vinous writes: "The 2015 Grenache E, from Elaine and Manfred Krankl’s Eleven Confessions Vineyard, is stunningly beautiful. Remarkably light on its feet for such a sumptuous wine, the 2015 has so much to offer. Beautifully expressive aromatics make a strong opening impression. Dark red and purplish berry fruit, mint, sweet spice and licorice develop with air, but it is the wine’s overall feel that stands out most. At times, the E is quite powerful, while in other moments it is much more delicate. That contrast makes for an utterly captivating wine. (AG)" (06/2019)
Starting Bid: $1,770.00

The voluptuous, rounded, soft and sexy fruit slinks across the palate with incredible seamlessness and expression. Bid on this magnum of 2015 Saxum "Broken Stones" Paso Robles Red Blend (1.5L) (97JD, 97RP, 96WS, 95VN). Robert Parker's Wine Advocate: "Blended of 48% Syrah, 21% Mourvèdre, 20% Grenache, 10% Petite Sirah and 1% Roussanne, the 2015 Broken Stones displays a deep garnet-purple color and nose of freshly crushed black cherries and blueberries with touches of fertile loam, garrigue, mossy bark and rare beef. Bid on this 6-bottle lot of 2015 Caiarossa "Aria di Caiarossa" Toscana (92RP, 90WE, 90WS). Robert Parker's Wine Advocate: "The selection of grapes in this blend has changed a bit, with much younger vines of Syrah, older Alicante vines, filled out by Cabernet Franc, Merlot and Cabernet Sauvignon. The 2015 Aria di Caiarossa goes through 20% new oak and shows a nice richness and velvety mouthfeel. It is immediate and exuberant and a bit sweeter than past vintages. (ML)" (05/2019)
Starting Bid: $150.00

Bid on this 2-bottle lot of 2015 Haut-Brion, Pessac-Léognan (100JD, 100RP, 99DC, 98JS, 98VN, 98WS, 97WE). Robert Parker's Wine Advocate: "A blend of 50% Merlot, 8% Cabernet Franc and 42% Cabernet Sauvignon, the medium to deep garnet-purple colored 2015 Haut-Brion is reticent to begin, languidly revealing crushed black cherries, ripe black plums and wild blueberries with sparks of cinnamon stick, cloves, nutmeg, espresso, unsmoked cigars, tapenade, crushed rocks and lavender. The full-bodied palate possesses wonderfully complementary contrasts of bold black and blue fruit richness and delicately nuanced cherry fruit, baking spices and floral accents, strutting ripe, finely pixelated tannins and seamless acidity that is placed firmly in the background, finishing very long and with plenty of attitude. This impeccably poised, exquisitely perfumed 2015 Haut-Brion possesses the most alluring yet seemingly effortless beauty. While it bears only a passing resemblance in its opulent personality

Bid on this bottle of 2015 Quilceda Creek Columbia Valley Cabernet Sauvignon (99JD, 97DC, 96JS, 96RP, 96VN, 96WE, 94WS). Jeb Dunnuck: "The flagship is the 2015 Cabernet Sauvignon, 100% Cabernet Sauvignon mostly from Champoux with the balance from Palengat and Wallula vineyards. Crème de cassis, graphite, black licorice, unsmoked tobacco, and hints of chocolate and emerge from this beauty and it continues to gain depth and nuance with time in the glass. Full-bodied, deep, and layered with an incredible purity and elegance on the palate, it's already accessible but has more than enough tannin, depth, and balance to evolve for two decades or more." (04/2018)

Of the 2015 Next of Kyn (Sine Qua Non) "Cumulus Vineyard No. 9'' Central Coast Red Blend, Vinous writes: "The 2015 No. 9 Cumulus Vineyard is off the charts gorgeous, just as it was from barrel last year. Tasted from bottle, the 2009 is a bit closed, but all the aromatic depth, soaring intensity and energy that it showed from barrel is there. Time in the glass brings out the wine’s sensational pedigree. (AG)" (09/2019)
Starting Bid: $1,105.00

Bid on this 2-bottle lot of 2015 Livio Sassetti Pertimali Brunello di Montalcino (95JD, 94WE, 94WS, 92RP, 92VN). Jeb Dunnuck: "The 2015 Riserva is full of rustic aromatics, along with leather, dense black cherry and plummy fruit. Underneath the intensity of the nose, there is a full-bodied core with a softer, more fruit forward and mouthfilling palate. The tannins are fine-grained and give way to the generosity of the vintage. (AF)" (03/2021)
Starting Bid: $97.00

Bid on this 2-bottle lot of 2015 Giuseppe e Figlio Mascarello "Monprivato" Barolo (97RP). Robert Parker's Wine Advocate: "This is a true beauty. The Giuseppe Mascarello 2015 Barolo Monprivato borrows from the best of the Nebbiolo playlist. You get precision, abundance, focus and depth presented in proud and elegant fashion. Monprivato in Castiglione Falletto shows its worth as one of the best-performing sites in both 2015 and 2016. This warmer growing season presents red and purple fruit with cherry, plum and dried blackberry. A second wave of aromas washes over the senses with spice, licorice, tar and crushed limestone. The mouthfeel is stitched tightly together with interwoven layers of acidity, tannin and fleshy fruit. (ML)" (07/2020)

Starting Bid: $64.00

Bid on this 5-bottle lot of 2015 Stolpman "Estate" Ballard Canyon Syrah (93DC, 93WE, 92VN, 90JD). Wine Enthusiast: "Very rich and lush aromas of black currant that are zesty rather than overripe meet with hints of chaparral, cherry wood smoke and sweet lavender on the nose of this wine. There's a strong sagebrush quality to the sip, with blackberry sauce and peppercorn husks in the midpalate. The acidity is prime, the tannins are just sticky enough. (MK)" (02/2018)
Starting Bid: $100.00

Bid on this 6-bottle lot of 2015 Mongravey, Margaux (92WE, 90JS). Wine Enthusiast: "Now that this estate has calmed down in its wood aging, it is possible to see the beautiful fruit that is grown here. This wine is structured, firm with tannins and some spice from the wood, while allowing plenty of black-currant fruit to shine through. This ripe wine needs several years to develop. " (05/2018)

Robert Parker's Wine Advocate: "Produced from 100% Cabernet Franc, the 2015 Rapszodia has a very deep garnet-purple color and nose of kirsch, cassis, blueberry tart and dark chocolate with hints of violets, pencil shavings, beef drippings and tilled soil. Medium-bodied, incredibly elegant and yet with super-intense red and black fruits, it has a firm structure of grainy tannins and great freshness, finishing long and minerally. (LPB) 98+" (12/2017)

Bid on this 3-bottle lot of 2015 Giscours, Margaux (97WE, 96JS, 95DC, 95VN, 94RP, 93WS). Wine Enthusiast: "This firm wine shows the tannic side of the vintage. Those tannins are dusty, enriched with black-currant fruits and a dense backdrop. The wine is concentrated and elegant, very ageworthy and not likely to be ready before 2025. *Cellar Selection* (RV)" (12/2017)

Bid on this magnum of 2015 Saxum "Rocket Block - James Berry Vineyard" Paso Robles Willow Creek District Rhône Blend (1.5L) (100JD, 98RP, 98VN). Jeb Dunnuck: "As with the Bone Rock, there are only four barrels of the 2015 James Berry Vineyard Rocket Block, a blend of 89% Grenache and 11% Mataró, from a tiny parcel, that was all co-fermented. Offering the essence of kirsch liqueur, ground pepper, gravelly minerality, herbes de Provence, and licorice, it reminds me of a great vintage of Domaine de Marcoux’s Châteauneuf du Pape Vieilles Vignes. Massive and opulent on the palate, yet pure, elegant, and refined, with silky tannins, it’s as good as wine gets. Hats off to Smith for another magical wine." (10/2019)
Starting Bid: $260.00

Bid on this 2-bottle lot of 2015 Vangone "Estate" Napa Valley Cabernet Sauvignon (97RP, 94JD). Very deep purple-black in color, it sings of fragrant blackcurrants, wild blueberries and black cherries with touches of Indian spices, menthol, chocolate box and violets plus a touch of smoked meats. The palate is full, rich, concentrated and seductive, with a firm yet velvety structure and seamless freshness, finishing long and spicy. (LPB)" (10/2018)

Jeb Dunnuck: "Coming from a mix of all seven single vineyards, the 2015 Syrah Santa Barbara County is gorgeous, and lovers of elegant, cool-climate Syrah should snatch up this wine. Blackcurrants, blueberries, violets and hints of peppered meats give way to a rounded, supple, juicy palate that's not lean in the least. " (08/2017)

Robert Parker's Wine Advocate: "Medium to deep garnet-purple colored, the 2015 Proprietary Red is simply singing on the nose, revealing fragrant red and black currant notes plus hints of cinnamon stick, lavender, garrigue, forest floor and pencil shavings. The medium to full-bodied, delicately played palate is wonderfully spicy, with a quiet sophistication and decadence about it, sporting ripe, velvety tannins and seamless freshness, finishing with exotic undertones.
