92 points Vinous: "The 2014 Barolo Rocche dell’Annunziata Vigna Rocchette is a sinewy, old-school Barolo that needs to be opened at least a few hours in advance to allow the searing tannins to soften. Dried cherry, cedar, tobacco, dried herbs and licorice emerges with coaxing, all framed by dusty, tannins. The 2014 is a classic Barolo from one of the region's few living old-timers. Pietro Caciorgna is located in the town of Casole d 'Elsa in the heart of Tuscany. Giovanni and Fulvia Caciorgna moved there in 1953 with their seven children and set up a small farm with a vineyard. The term "alberaia" refers to a row of trees, usually along a river, where fairs would be held or "fair dell'Alberaia." Winery tasting notes: "It has a good balance, a slight acidity, a medium body and a pleasant round finish.
