Bid on this 3-bottle lot of 2012 Williams Selyem Sonoma Coast Pinot Noir (92W&S, 91ST, 91WE). Wine & Spirits: "Bob Cabral received more fruit than usual from David Hirsch’s far-coast vineyard in 2012, so this wine is actually more than 20% Hirsch. The provenance of the fruit shows through as a delicious blast of energy, the wine lasting on a wild raspberry tang that pulls savory depth behind it, a sous bois undertone that speaks to the redwoods and sandstone ridges of the Sonoma Coast." (08/2014)
Starting Bid: $135.00

Bid on this 2-bottle lot of 2012 Marcassin "Marcassin Vineyard" Sonoma Coast Pinot Noir (97JD, 97RP). Robert Parker's Wine Advocate: "The 2012 Pinot Noir Marcassin Vineyard, which comes primarily from the Calera clone (although I suspect there are a few mystery clones in their plantings), always seems to remind me of a grand cru from Burgundy’s Côte de Nuits, particularly Morey-St.-Denis. Dense ruby/plum, its sweet nose of strawberries, black cherry liqueur, fresh porcini mushrooms and forest floor is followed by a dark, full-bodied, rich and concentrated wine that is supple, dramatic, and even flamboyant. (RP)" (03/2016)
Starting Bid: $490.00

Bid on this 6-bottle lot of 2012 Domaine Frédéric Esmonin Mazis-Chambertin Grand Cru (94RP, 92BH, 92VN). Robert Parker's Wine Advocate: "The 2012 Mazis-Chambertin Grand Cru comes from a small 0.15-hectare parcel on red soils planted between 1949 and 1959 that produced just two barrels this year. Like many wines from this grand cru, it has a vivacious, captivating bouquet with violet-tinged black and red fruit, hints of forest floor and iodine that makes it compelling. The palate is very pure, blackcurrant pastille-infused entry, but this is more about its satin-like texture and harmony. It simply glides across the mouth with a seamless finish that carries the 100% new oak with style. (NM)" (12/2013)
Starting Bid: $420.00

Bid on this bottle of 2012 Domaine Faiveley Latricières-Chambertin Grand Cru ((92-95BH), (92-95ST)). Allen Meadows - Burghound: "A pure and manifestly earthy and sauvage nose offers up notes of red and dark currant, humus and underbrush. There is excellent volume and mid-palate density to the beautifully delineated medium weight plus flavors that possess terrific focus and plenty of minerality on the strikingly long finish. As is usually the case this is markedly austere at present and will need plenty of cellar time before it's ready for prime time but it should be well worth the wait. *Don't Miss!*" (01/2014)
Starting Bid: $150.00

Bid on this 5-half-bottle lot of 2012 Copain Kiser En Haut Anderson Valley Pinot Noir (375ml) (92VN). Vinous: The 2012 Pinot Noir Kiser En Haut is bright and beautifully delineated from the very first taste. Freshly cut flowers, mint and crushed rocks add nuance to a core of precise, crystalline fruit in a Pinot that impresses for its energy. Interestingly, the 2013 was made from fully destemmed fruit. Readers should plan on cellaring the 2012 for at least a year or two to allow the firm tannins to soften a bit. (AG) (01/2015)
Starting Bid: $75.00

Bid on this 3-bottle lot of 2012 Louis Jadot Beaune 1er Cru "153rd Anniversary Cuvee" (92BH, 92VN). Vinous: "Jadot’s 2012 Beaune 1er Cru Celebration is aromatically quite expressive, with lovely bright, floral notes that play off a core of red berry and stone fruits. The gracious, almost feminine, bouquet is alluring and suggests a wine that is quite open, but the palate sensation is completely different. Tiny yields and high skin to juice ratios yielded red Burgundies with huge tannic clout that obscures the fruit, which is exactly how the wine comes across in tasting. It will be interesting to see if the 2012 softens over time, or if it gains volume with aging. Today, it is decidedly on the austere side of things. (AG)" (03/2018)
Starting Bid: $150.00

Bid on this 2-bottle lot of 2012 Kosta Browne "Gap's Crown Vineyard" Sonoma Coast Pinot Noir (93RP, 93VN, 92CG, 92ST, 92WS). Vinous: "The 2012 Pinot Noir Gap's Crown Vineyard is deep, dense and beautifully layered throughout. Pliant and resonant, the Gaps Crown is above all else a wine of texture. Dark red cherry and plum notes flesh out in a voluptuous, racy Pinot that captures the essence of this site and the vintage. Silky tannins support the gracious, resonant finish. (AG)" (01/2015)
Starting Bid: $140.00

Bid on this bottle of 2012 Sea Smoke "Southing" Sta. Rita Hills Pinot Noir (93WE, 92RP). Wine Enthusiast: "Named after the famed vineyard’s south-facing slopes, this vintage is expertly crafted, with aromas of ripe red cherry, sandalwood, black pepper, graphite, purple flowers and damp pine needles. It’s complex, with dark red fruit and tickling cardamom spice set against fine-grained tannins. *Cellar Selection* (MK)" (04/2015)
Starting Bid: $75.00

Bid on this 4-bottle lot of 2012 Clos de la Tech "Domaine Lois Louise - Twisty Ridge" Santa Cruz Mountains Pinot Noir (94WE). Wine Enthusiast: "This winery atop the mountains overlooking Silicon Valley makes amazingly earthy and age-worthy wines. This bottling's nose is soil-driven, with sun-baked loam laid across red cherry, condensed lilacs, cola and sandalwood aromas. The sip is structured firmly and strategically like the frame of a well-built home, where dark mulberry and savory spices reside. *Top 100 Cellar Selections 2017* (MK)" (06/2017)
Starting Bid: $140.00

Bid on this magnum of 2012 Domaine Bitouzet-Prieur Volnay 1er Cru "Taillepieds" (1.5L) ((91-93VN)). Vinous: "A layered, totally exquisite wine, the 2012 Volnay Taillepieds impresses for its balance above all else. The aromas and flavors are beautifully detailed and nuanced in a Taillepieds that is all about crystalline purity. This tasting catches the 2012 in a slightly raw, unpolished state, but nothing a little time in bottle won't take care of. (AG) 91-93+" (01/2014)
Starting Bid: $105.00

Bid on this 3-bottle lot of 2012 Williams Selyem Russian River Valley Pinot Noir (92WE, 91VN). Wine Enthusiast: "Showing impeccable elegance, this is totally dry and tart in acidity, with a quietly tannic astringency that suggests pairing with lamb or steak. While it’s not an ager, the cola, pomegranate, cherry and mushroom flavors are classic and complex." (07/2014)
Starting Bid: $135.00

Bid on this 2-bottle lot of 2012 Domaine de Montille Nuits-St-Georges 1er Cru "Aux Thorey" ((92-94RP), (90-92BH), (90-92ST)). Robert Parker's Wine Advocate: "The 2012 Nuits Saint Georges 1er Cru Les Thorey comes from the domaine’s 0.73-hectare parcel. This vintage is 100% whole cluster and sees around 50% new oak. It has an earthy, mushroom and dried blood-scented bouquet that is very engaging and well-defined. The palate is firm and grippy on the entry. This is very concentrated with a fine bead of acidity, yet the grip is gentle and not imposing. The swagger demonstrated at this nascent stage suggests that this may evolve into one of Domaine de Montille’s finest 2012. (NM)" (12/2013)
