2012 Caymus "Special Selection" Napa Valley Cabernet Sauvignon
Back In Stock!
96 points Robert Parker's Wine Advocate: "The 2012 Cabernet Sauvignon Special Selection has a dense blackish/purple color and creamy, sweet crème de cassis fruit, blackberries, a touch of graphite and vanilla, This exuberant, boisterous, in-your-face style of Cabernet Sauvignon is clearly a fruit bomb, so be warned. Full-bodied and opulent with stunning concentration and richness, the wine has no hard edges and is much in the Caymus style of terrific fruit intensity (most of it black and blue), voluptuous texture, and a stunning finish with plenty of gly...

2012 Realm "Farella Vineyard" Napa Valley Cabernet Sauvignon
Back In Stock!
96 points Robert Parker's Wine Advocate: "The single-vineyard 2012 Cabernet Sauvignon Farella Vineyard comes from a hillside, cool-climate site in the Coombsville AVA in the eastern Vaca Mountains. In the past, much of this fruit went into early vintages of Opus One. This is a tannic, opulent, backward, primary effort displaying an inky/purple color along with notes of incense, camphor, toast and abundant black fruits. A true first-growth vineyard is the Beckstoffer Dr. Crane Vineyard, which is located in the heart of St. Helena just off Route 29. The vi...

The flavors weave together in the end. Drink now through 2028." (10/2014) K&L Notes: A small production Syrah from an excellent California vintage. From the winery: "The biggest bat, the heaviest hitter in our rotation has to be the 2012 Syrah Napa Valley. Monster black fruit has brutal power and tons of ripe character with gobs of sapwood, spic...

Sweet floral and spiced notes add lift on the finish. Best of all, Prince of Hearts remains one of the very finest values in handmade, artisan Napa Valley Cabernet Sauvignon. The 2012 is simply exquisite. Blankiet has come a long way over the last few years. Increased focus on the dual flagships Rive Droite and Proprietary Red fueled by Claude and Katherine ...

Bid on this 2-bottle lot of 2012 Caymus "40th Anniversary" Napa Valley Cabernet Sauvignon (96RP). Its dense purple/black color is followed by copious quantities of crème de cassis and blackberry fruit, silky tannins, a voluptuous texture and stunning purity as well as length. This full-bodied effort is a fabulous example of Napa Valley Cabernet Sauvignon as well as a tribute to this amazing family. Amazing! (RP)" (10/2014)

Bid on this 2-bottle lot of 2012 Corison "Kronos Vineyard" Napa Valley Cabernet Sauvignon (96JG, 95VN, 94JS, 93CG). John Gilman: "I had not tasted the 2012 Kronos Vineyard from Cathy Corison since its release in the spring of 2015 and was very happy that it was in our lineup at the winery in September. I loved this wine out of the blocks and it was showing brilliant potential at the winery, soaring from the glass in a beautiful, young aromatic blend of red and black cherries, a touch of eucalyptus, Rutherford dust, tobacco leaf and a very suave base of new wood. On the palate the wine is pure, full-bodied and nascently complex, with a lovely core of sappy fruit, great focus and grip, fine-grained tannins and exquisite balance on the very, very long and refined finish. This is, of course, still a very young wine, but it will be one of the defining wines of Cathy’s illustrious career when all is said and done!" (05/2017)

Bid on this 2-bottle lot of 2012 Scarecrow "M. Etain" Napa Valley Cabernet Sauvignon (94RP, 93WS, 92VN). Robert Parker's Wine Advocate: "The 2012 Cabernet Sauvignon M. Etain is in essence a second wine, but it sure doesn’t taste like one.
